  1. In my tree i placed Zara at tier VIII and Abruzzi at tier VII, with the assumption Cleveland gets moved(and it should get moved hopefully). Then again with Italy a long way off there's isn't any need to rush regarding the exact tiering since many things can change between now and then.

    The Ferrati quintuple turret Battleship

Surely this designs have its advantages but i wonder the reaction of the RM when they saw this. Most likely someone died due to heart attack ahah

    The Ferrati quintuple turret Battleship

I know he studied quad turreted designs but this is even weirder compared to those ones. Nice find! Sure the image isn't great but it isn't your fault

Yeah the Italian industry wasn't in good shape, the Littorio was the best ship we were able to build No, i guess i'll ask next time i go to La Spezia. I will remember to make a to-do list before going there

Well a 406 mm gun was planned for UP.41 but i don't know how developed the project of the gun was.

If we upgun to 3x2 381/50 it may work just fine, yeah. The 381/50 with properly manufactured shells is able to hit quite hard, no need to upgrade an armament already strong. In any case as far as i recall the 406 was considered but in a 3x3 configuration but i may be mistaken(i have to check).

Protection&mobility of Littorio at that tier would be nice indeed but perhaps is a bit undergunned. Then again it's early to say. I'll read that article later on this afternoon and i'll translate the important parts

Looks fine although i wonder how a smaller Littorio with 320 mm guns would compete with Caracciolo and with her bigger self.
  9. She was also completed first(1915 while Doria was completed in 1916). It's the same of Littorio-class which is also known as Vittorio Veneto-class for some reason. In any case another factor of the horrible longitudinal dispersion was the quality of the shells. Usually shells were produced properly only in case of tests and, during war time, in few occasions(something shared with the 381/50 of the Littorios)
  10. Technically the proper name is Caio Duilio-class, the lead ship of the class. Then again it's just a minor detail ^^

    The odyssey of the "Perla"

Here are the specs of the Perla subclass(the 600t class had multiple subclasses over the years)

Monitor (warship) - Tech Tree options

Monitors have already a topic for them. Anyway they are slow, not that armed and overall not that protected. What save them are the huge anti torpedo bulges which reduce the damage dealt by torpedoes and, considering the speed of these ships, are quite needed(DDs won't have a hard time blitzing them with 20+ knots speed difference).

I finally organized the premiums in a more reasonable way. In time i will update this with info regarding the ships BATTLESHIPS III/IV)Dante Alighieri V)BC project 1933 VI)BC project 1928 VIII)BC project 1930 CRUISERS V)Ancona(AA conversion) VI)Etna VII)UP-90(CL variant) DESTROYERS III)Audace IV)Aquila VI)Premuda(ex Dubrovnik) VIII)Spalato(ex Split) CARRIERS //

    Armed Merchant Ships

I considered the classes alone, not the numbers.
  15. Deamon93

    Armed Merchant Ships

Many carriers came from conversions, either from military vessels(cruisers, battlecruisers and battleships) or from civilian vessels(liners, cargo ships, oil tankers). The number of carriers built as carriers is relatively limited

This class isn't that different from Langley, with the difference there's a better AA.

    Historical battle reenactments

A 2 vs 2 and a 1 vs the whole RN won't be that interesting. A future option would be perhaps the battle off Punta Stilo(when Italy gets implemented as Italy and not as Soviet Union ). The engagement is even sort of balanced and it may prove interesting(surely more interesting than the historical engagement).

    Glad you appreciated my work!
  19. And who would have work on those tree? The dev team is one and even if they were more than one wouldn't make sense to implement different nations in the different regions instead of implementing all at the same time for every region. Besides the all balancing process takes time and if you have to test a lot of ships at the same time people start becoming crazy.
  20. Well in tanks we can safely say Russia is overall more relevant than UK but then again it's a different game ^^
  21. That's true and for that reason she may show up as premium. It would be ironic to have the first UK ship implemented ingame under the Russian flag but then again the implementation order follows other logics than historical importance.
  22. Well Italy had a much smaller tonnage cap compared to the RN(considering the Washington Treaty). Still i haven't said RN isn't significant, i just said Royal Sovereign was a place holder for something else.
  23. Which is quite sad and hilarious at the same time since they were proud of her
  24. Royal Sovereign was a place holder, just like USS Milwaukee. Those ships were given to Russia so Stalin would have stopped asking about Italian ships until the end of the war. Considering the fact that Stalin wanted either Italia(ex Littorio) or Vittorio Veneto Royal Sovereign is a downgrade(and then Italy "trolled" him with Giulio Cesare but that's another story) Not exactly, for the reasons said above.
