It's a game designed to be an arcade, not a sim. If that was the case battles would last for hours and that isn't exactly fun for the average player
-
But apparently Bismarck is strong enough to face Montana and Yamato
-
Wait for the US BBs and you'll see that Warspite is fast.
-
It still gives advantages since you have to come close and, theoretically, Warspite shouldn't be alone. Besides hitting from 16+ range is complicated and not that successful since you can spot volleys and react quickly(especially with the advantage of having a very responsive rudder).
-
Or you have a destroyer close by and you don't see it since their spotting range is even shorter.
-
That's true. Then again wouldn't be bad to have confirmations regarding those
-
The information on the British tree is outdated though. Anyway Warspite overall works fine at tier VI excluding the fact that the turret rotation is a bit too slow(and the fact that Fuso is fairly OP but that's another story). Considering the fact that it will take a while to have the British tree there's plenty of time to see what WG has in store for 'em.

If not the RN next then when will we get HMS Warspite?
Deamon93 replied to Armo1000's topic in General Discussion
She's in the list of premiums currently known(together with Duca d'Aosta and Giulio Cesare). In any case we'll see. -

She's there(Arkhangelsk), at tier VI(even though they pretty much never use her and they didn't even bother turning the turrets). -

Since you have to buy with tokens(which you can buy only with real money) i don't think there will be that many . In any case we'll see! -
The Kriegsmarine in WoWs-Episode 1: Destroyers
Deamon93 replied to Altair2012's topic in General Discussion
I think it will be quite problematic to play with those DDs due to the size and (in)ability to turn as tight as other DDs. In any case we'll see when they get implemented(eventually). -
I would compare ships like the Izmail-class(as example) to stuff made by the Polish which had little to no expertise in naval construction(most of their Navy was built by either UK or France).

There are also other ships named after him because he was one of the most influential people of the XVII/XVIII century. Besides as far as i recall the name was chosen primarily so the Italians wouldn't dislike it(since Prinz Eugen was a member of the Royal House).

There's also a higher tier material like Ersatz Monarch: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ersatz_Monarch-class_battleship That ship could go up to tier V Austria-Hungary hasn't the same amount of ships of Russia, this is just plain wrong. Regarding the rest Austria Hungary ceased to exist in 1918 and both Austria and Hungary were landlocked. Russia is indeed a marketing move but at least they had the projects, they just lacked to time to realize them.

They don't have enough ships to make a tree on their own. Moreover considering that it's unclear if and when France and Italy will show up it's unlikely a minor nation like Austria-Hungary will show up.

Aren't battleships kinda underpowered right now?
Deamon93 replied to Mars_Triumphant's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes RNG trolls you, that's true. -
Well we're aware they won't come anytime soon but please don't mess them up too much. After seeing Kerch/Duca d'Aosta at tier VII i'm a bit concerned, to say the least(since that would mess up the Italian cruiser line and, as a consequence, the French one). EDIT: back to the subject: With Cleveland at tier VI the only way to make the other lines work is to use the soft stats to level the field and make the tier VI counterparts much stronger than they were(plus the fact that Cleveland is overall weaker than his counterpart).

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017

True but it could be an upgrade. Regarding the ahistorical upgrades i can't say much ^^ -

Alphas asked to the devs. Regarding the Tirpitz conversion we don't know anything about it ^^ -

Graf Spee isn't even a BB to begin with. Deutschland was classified like that eons ago and hopefully that gets changed. Regarding Edinburgh as far as i recall(correct me if i'm wrong) there were plans to put quad turrets on them and, if that's the case, she would have sixteen 6" guns at her disposal. Sure the shells are small but when you have a lot of numbers you can still pack a punch if you're close enough -
It was tested and the devs dropped it. They may be reworking it but nobody knows. As far as i recall the devs said it's possible but we'll see.

The British didn't destroy half the fleet in the first engagement. In fact the first big engagement(Punta Stilo) was a draw and most of the large engagements were draws(except Matapan which was caused by a very long list of bad calls from the Italian High Command). Regarding how they will be played what you say shows quite a lot of ignorance. Zara was the most protected Treaty cruiser, Duca degli Abruzzi was also reasonably protected(for a CL) and then Littorio was also reasonably protected(considering all the layers the belt armor of Littorio is superior to the one of Bismarck).

Everything past H-39 was insane considering what Germany had available. H-39 may have been built but they would have required more time...time the very same man who asked for them denied.
-
H-44 was a dream of a madman, it was impossible to realize. She was developed during WWII with the Allies bombing most of the industrial facilities. Building the slipway/drydock for her would have been impossible in such conditions already.

Personally i'm looking forward to the WWI ships from Germany and i don't mind all too much having Germany before Italy, if that's the reason of course. Then again i'm doing this work primarily because i want to give to these ships the attention they deserve. When those ships will be implemented who knows but that's a concern of WG, not mine(i'm not SerB )
