    British BBs terrible range?

The entire Italian naval force? What? The Germans captured very few ships, most of them were under repairs or under construction. The number of ships immediately available were very few

    British BBs terrible range?

Well last time we asked she was placed at tier VII with further developments placed at the higher tiers. That info is old and may be out dated though

    British BBs terrible range?

You meant the newer one yeah. Technically KGV could stand at tier VIII with paper above(ie Lion in her various forms). Then again i don't know Lion all too well so i can't say.

    British BBs terrible range?

Wrong KGV. I think he meant this one: http://navypedia.org/ships/uk/brit_bb1_kinggeorgev.htm

Crippling the Italian battlefleet? Those are strong words since on Cape Spartivento, few weeks later, the Regia Marina fielded two battleships, six heavy cruisers and fourteen destroyers. Sure the raid on Taranto was a blow but considering it crippling is an overstatement.

Question reg. reconfiguring the tech tree in 0.3.1

I don't know. I can assume if you have Yamato you'll get Izumo researched, regarding the cruiser swap i don't know. The most logical would be to stick with the tier and swap the ships(because buying Myoko now and stick with her when she'll become tier VII isn't fun).

    British BBs terrible range?

Personally i think that making her more susceptible to citadel hits would make the ship more balance. Compared to Warspite/New Mexico she has worse protection and, coupled with having guns all over the place, it would make sense. Then again it's just my opinion. Regarding range i would like to have range linked to the gun/mount rather than FCS(leaving accuracy related to the FCS so you would still be incentivized in upgrading it).

    British BBs terrible range?

She requires some balancing, changing her tier won't solve the problem. In any case things can still change, at least until WG finds the patch ready to be released. Nobody knows when that will happen

Yeah that's true. We also had the X MAS which by itself was a force to reckon with and the Brits had to know it all too well

    British BBs terrible range?

You got that from the NA stream, right? VI and she is even slower than Warspite(21 knots against 24)

    HMS Hood discussion

Hood is in the BC line where she belongs. Besides BCs =/= CAs. They are more similar to BBs, hence they are(at least for now) classified as such ingame. Then i recalled wrong regarding where Hood and PoW were assigned. Still the Brits had no choice but to intercept the Germans and buy time for the rest of the fleet. At the end Hood got sunk and PoW badly damaged but the Germans were unable to continue with their mission and then the rest is history. In any case what saved the RN could be also the fact that the Germans and Italy didn't cooperate. By sending out at least part of the Regia Marina at the same time of Bismarck the British would have had many more issues, especially regarding where to send Force H which was based at Gibraltar. Anyway that's "what-if"

    HMS Hood discussion

Hood wasn't sent to engage Bismarck. She was sent, together with PoW, to cover the Denmark Strait. When Bismarck got spotted they were the closest ships available so they engaged. The Royal Navy chose not to pair up two untested BBs for a good reason since they weren't exactly combat ready yet. Hood was far from being perfect but she had a trained crew and her guns were reliable(while the 14" of the KGVs lacked, until they got fixed at least)

    Nations lineup (Keep it clean)

A bit messy this tree with all considered. Worth a try but this can't possibly work.
  14. It's possible there will be a gift, which one and with which requirements is unknown.

    Torpedo Bug - 42k damage

Torpedoes can do crits, just like shells. They aren't that common but it's possible.

    New GERMAN Premium Ship!

    They weren't naval guns though.

Cleveland and Pensacola why not switch their place in the techtree?

Designed. The project drastically changed when the US Navy Board knew about Mogami.

Cleveland and Pensacola why not switch their place in the techtree?

Before designing Brooklyn with the 15x6" guns the US Navy Board designed some more reasonable cruisers with 8x6" guns which would do fine at tier VI.

    HMS Hood discussion

Yet again the problem is Fuso, not Warspite. Warspite has issues with the turret rotation, that's about it. Besides Hood was supposed to have her armor improved in the refit which didn't happen due to WWII.

    HMS Hood discussion

With the refit planned for her she would be quite nice, too nice to stay at tier VI.

You also forgot the fact that Bismarck would get her rudder destroyed in case hit by a torpedo and that she loses all four turrets soon after...oh wait that happens already ingame

    HMS Hood discussion

Admiral-class was placed as tier VII in the BC line, which is clearly doable for the British(there are enough BCs to go from III to X).

Cleveland and Pensacola why not switch their place in the techtree?

Which would be placed a tier higher so there won't be problems on that regard since you still would be able to kill Baltimore but not as easily

Cleveland and Pensacola why not switch their place in the techtree?

You under estimate its strength though. I don't have the penetration values of the 6"/47 mounted on Cleveland but that was a really good gun with all considered. Technically with the historical 10 rpm, the historical amount of AA(using Fargo as preset for that) and all she would be quite a beast at tier VIII. Besides Cleveland has to be balanced with other cruisers since they aren't supposed to dish out huge amount of damage against battleships(where the armor changes will influence primarily). Compared to cruisers she is a power house even though the current Cleveland is nerfed(-40% RoF when stock, -25% when upgraded). Nerfing her even further is just saying: Cleveland is misplaced but we're too lazy to move her. Moreover with Mogami at tier VIII(which made the US build Brooklyn as she was and, further along the read, Cleveland) it makes sense moving Cleveland up. Balancing Cleveland even further to make her stay at tier VI is pointless and bad effort because she messes up every single cruiser line.. Besides granted the 6" shell fired by Cleveland is lighter compared to the 8" shells fired by her CA cousins but she has more guns and she fires much faster.

Cleveland and Pensacola why not switch their place in the techtree?

Most likely there will be a parallel CL line with Brooklyn eventually and that makes more sense than messing up too much between Cleveland(the real issue) and Pensacola which looks bad because of Cleveland(similar issue in Fuso/Nagato).
