WG wanted more guinea pigs apparently Anyway when all the issues are solved the patch should get released, just be patient for a little longer.
-
They are the same thing, the only difference is that many of the posts are one immediately the other so it's more readable. Then i have to fix the premium section but that's not the priority.
-
Saipan is a CVL while both Ranger and Lexington are fully fledged CVs. Besides Saipan is a converted Baltimore, made to increase the numbers of carriers. Anyway Saipan will get dropped next patch. Hopefully she'll show up again in the future, how we don't know.
-
Too early to talk about medals. It may be possible though, eventually.
-
In that case would be complicated since those ships are used to train the commanders for the future tree and, if you don't let people get that skill, you'll have a problem eventually when there will be cruisers able to use it.
-
There will be premiums before the tree, don't worry. Nobody knows when the German premium(most likely Bismarck since she has been in the folders for ages) will get added.
-
That skill improves the ability if present in the ship. Murmansk doesn't have that ability available(just like Omaha) hence it doesn't do anything. In any case that commander would prove useful eventually when the Russian cruisers come along.
-
The current order is Russia, Germany, UK. Then there's speculation if there will be either France or Italy as 6th(with the other as 7th). In any case things could change since all depends on how research goes.
-
Nobody knows for certain. Apparently Germany will be the 4th nation, unless UK mounts a comeback.
-
You'll have to wait for quite some time though since, at least for now, the best case scenario is 6th nation after(in order) Russia, Germany and UK. Sure things can change but i hardly see Italy advance from that position since it would require not to have the Italian subsidiary(Russia) between the first ones. Besides knowing WG finally considers Italy in a game it has to be implemented it's just a start.
-
Well they'll still need to do some research but yeah it saves a lot of time building the tree since you won't have to do it from scratch. Not that i think will my tree used by WG without any change. I would be glad if that happens of course
-
Well here is the NA version which is cleaner: http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/25247-fan-made-italian-tech-tree/#topmost
-
Yeah i did just that. Anyway i'll rework this whole topic SOON, i just need to end few things in the NA counterpart and i'll copy/paste from there.
-
Hopefully it's just a description bug, then again without any way to view the armor in details is impossible to know. We could guess by firing at the ships and guestimate, even though we don't know the penetration values.
-
So? The armor of Yamato has 57 mm on the turrets while it should be 650. Warspite isn't the only one with weird protection values. In any case hopefully all of that will get fixed in the next patch.
-
I'll wait to have the two holes patched and then i may send the whole thing to WG. Then again that's not a priority for now. Regarding other nations i need to see them first. Thank you!
-
Those projects are on hold for the moment, primarily because i have little to no information on them(excluding Caracciolo). They may show up eventually but even then they would require a lot of additional work to make her fit at high tiers.
-
Thanks! Yeah Cassone is quite ambitious, considering 45.000 t battleships were pretty much the H-44 of the time. Well Vettor Pisani has 12x152 mm guns plus 4/6x120 mm guns. Overall i think the 120 mm could be considered as secondaries, making her at least different from her peers at that tier.
-
Cool could you link that? Just to have a read Regarding candidates for the two missing spots i do have them but i'm not 100% sold. For the tier X battleship there's Cassone, a strange and somewhat esoteric project considering she was designed even before WWI started. Here are her specs plus some images Year - 1912, 45000t 35 - 40 knots8 - 456mm (4x2)6 - 152mm (2x3)Belt: 150 - 456mmDeck : 120mmCitadel: 350mm For the tier III cruiser the only one capable of matching St.Louis is Vettor Pisani. Slower and less armed but better protected. Gameplay wise they both could work and, regarding Vettor Pisani, she may fit without any particular issue. Cassone on the other hand is more problematic since she would require a lot of rework to make her fit at tier X. Of course not . No i haven't, i hope to find it though.

The battleships in service were three not two(Vittorio Veneto, Giulio Cesare and Andrea Doria). In any case i'm not saying the fleet didn't lose a fair share of its power but she was still able to muster a sizable fleet just 12 days after with two out of the three available battleships, six out of seven heavy cruisers(only Zara was absent) and fourteen destroyers. Sure she was diminished in strength but that was still a force to reckon with. Then again what pretty much reduced by a lot the strength of the RM was the loss of Zara, Fiume and Pola at Matapan(plus the escorting destroyers Alfieri and Gioberti). That operation though was probably the biggest mistake the RM ever did(there are a bunch of them even before the fighting began) but it would require a topic dedicated. Taranto was indeed a success but compared to Matapan wasn't as devastating since only one really valuable ship(Littorio) was damaged. Not that Caio Duilio and Conte di Cavour were worthless but compared to Littorio weren't as important.
-
I don't know the French guns all too well i have to check. They had their fair shares of issues though(their 15" guns on Richelieu were garbage until fixed by 'Merica, the twin mount on Mogador was garbage and so on). Still the problem of the Italian guns is the shell quality which was inconsistent. Since that would be a pain to model ingame i guess WG would pick the "best case scenario", at least i hope so. It would be a total mess otherwise(which says something regarding the gunnery skills of the crews which had to employ such shells).
-
Considering the 120 mm guns and the early 152/53 makes sense, then again it's too early to say. Besides the guns which historically had bad(ish) dispersion(like the 8" guns on Pensacola) aren't that inaccurate. We'll see eventually. Moreover the dispersion issues were fixed with the newer guns(152/55, 135/45 the two best examples)
-
In that case i think that happened. Anyway who knows how the range of the 152/53 will be like, i guess we have to wait for Duca d'Aosta/Kerch(since i'm relatively sure the Russians didn't bother changing the guns although i don't have any data regarding her during her service under the SU flag).
-
Even if the range is a bit shorter it's still a long way off for a 152 mm shell. In any case i wonder where we could verify this info, there may be reports from that engagement but good luck in finding them <.<
-
The 26.000 yard hit from Montecuccoli? That could be plausible but it's barely within the maximum range of HE. Still from that range it would require some luck
