Eventually both British and German BCs will show up ingame and they would play differently. I guess we can leave it at that

Will 0.5.1 "Advanced Firing Training" no longer apply to main battery guns up to 155 mm?
Deamon93 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Greg has 130 mm guns. Not a single Soviet DD has guns larger than that. Only some German DDs have larger guns -

Possibly, especially sunce the Russian DDs would act similarly -

Indeed CM is more suited for the tier X DD slot. She is more or less comparable to the Russian one although less "stronk". -

That's understandable, at least removing from the captain that skill and give four points back. I haven't said about a duel between the two, i just said that the 155 mm with the skill gives an edge to Mogami against bigger targets thanks to the more fast firing guns with 20% more range making the 203 mm rather pointless. Besides i think the range should be linked to the gun and mount rather than to the FCS, leaving to this latter just the accuracy(ie a better FCS translates in better accuracy rather than better range). -

Well Mogami with 155 mm guns is able to outrange a Mogami with 203 mm guns due to this skill. Is it bad to have the range equal? Personally i don't think so. -
Averof was an armored cruiser rather than a battleship. Anyway, being a proper AC, it's unknown if she'll show up or not
-
The books are fairly expensive sadly. Anyway i was thnking to do comparisons between the ships in the tree and their counterparts ingame, in case is possible of course. It will take quite a while and it's subject to change for obvious reasons

You should speak English until the Italian section is created. Anyway there won't be subs and the prefix is RN("Regia Nave", equivalent to the British HMS) but can be omitted.
-
The German cruisers weren't renown to be good. Moreover the Kriegsmarine has a marginal impact on BBs and even smaller on BCs. In their case the Kaiserliche Marine does most of the work.
-
I think Le Hardi is a bit too low with all considered, moreover the Mogador would require some buffs to stay there.

So lovely to read stuff from this confidential leaker, i guess the secret agency is leaving this guy be because they find it amusing

The answer to all questions: soon
-
As far as i know they were/are hiring new people, may be wrong. Anyway i'll write the topic with the poll today and then we'll see how it goes
-
That's why i wonder about the vertical protection since overall there are four layers. I guess i'll wait for WG to do the dirty work The horizontal wasn't great but was adequate overall. Besides ingame i find it quite hard to pen the decks since you can achieve that only from long range(and that's difficult in itself) I was wondering if we can suggest directly the creation of a similar section with a poll or something, assuming WG would take that into account of course
-
On rebuilt ships the cylinders efficiency was lower since the hull wasn't originally designed for them. Then again i don't know how underwater protection is modeled ingame currently so hard to say. I think they could just add up all the layers and call it a day since the raw thickness(ie without counting all the angles) is over 400 mm. Not that bad for a tier VIII ship
-
Especially since depending on the ship it performed differently(on Littorios it did decently well). As far as i know however the Pugliese cylinders were used also on Projekt 23 so we may see them in action relatively soon(assuming they implement the missing lines next). Speaking of which i wonder how WG would treat Littorio protection system since her belt is a bunch of layers designed to tank her own shells from 17500 m onwards(or something like that, i don't recall the specific range). If the belt gets implemented properly she would be quite a troll
-
Considering she was a pre-war design designer wouldn't surprise me if that happened. Anyway i don't know the underwater protection of other designs of the era currently present(ie from tier V to VII in both lines) changed from the original or not. Besides considering she already requires a refit to upgrade horizontal protection, secondary and AA armament WG may well upgrade the underwater protection in a similar fashion to what happened to Cavour and Duilio. Of course that's what i think is plausible to happen considering what actually happened but then again we'll see.
-
Personally i prefer Cleveland. If played properly she can roflstomp the German cruisers even in her current state(massively nerfed). I wonder how the German ships could be OP since they are the most glassy cruisers up to date
-
I'm not sure she'll show up and i won'tconsider her unless WG hints torpedo boats could be implemented.
-
In NA they have a section for this kind of topics, too bad we don't have it.
-
I asked him about the projects developed in the '30s prior Littorio and Maestrale Potenziato. I haven't asked about potential tier X material simply because i sincerely doubt some paper project even existed since the UP.41 was already too much. One can hope otherwise WG would build one from scratch

Here's a nice site with information regarding less known ships: https://stefsap.wordpress.com/category/never-weres/regia-marina/ There aren't that many articles regarding Italy yet but they'll come
-
The guns were the same but Nurnberg had a higher RoF so the dpm would be much better.
-
We'll see, especially since we know Cleveland will get moved eventually(when it's still unknown).
