Thank you for answering! I guess I'll use tags then

She would be inferior to both Amagi and North Carolina. As tier VIII material is better KGV

I asked Ectar way back regarding the section but nothing came out of it. I hope they will add it soon, it would be appreciated

Nelson was placed at tier VII, although right now there isn't a way to know for sure.

Dear Wargaming... - Why the game needs the Hood and Bismarck to survive

Well calibrating with two different AA mounts which had different elevation and train speeds is impossible. -

Well Bismarck had a big issue like having two different mounts for the 105 mm guns, making the tracking complicated. The speed is irrelevant since tracking slower objects is easier than tracking fast targets. -

Dear Wargaming... - Why the game needs the Hood and Bismarck to survive

It was the Swordfish: it was too slow to be tracked by the uber stronk AA of Bismarck . Not joking, someone thinks this is true for real -
Considering we don't know the short terms plans we have to wait for quite a while before knowing something else. We just know Italy is planned to come, when and how is not known at this moment.

First you would need to build the thing and the slipway where a ship like this is constructed tends not be able to withstand such bombs

Dear Wargaming... - Why the game needs the Hood and Bismarck to survive

As said above she got some love during the inter war period. Moreover Hood was already under construction when Jutland happened and everything started from scratch pretty much to improve the belt(it was supposed to be only 8"). Granted she never moved from the dockyard but there are other examples like the Renown-class which got their belt improved as well. ps: Hood was completed in 1920, she never saw WWI. -

You may want to check Fuso and Nagato belt which are indeed 12". A thicker deck would have meant a greater immunity zone which would have given more tactical options. With a deck capable of withstanding incoming shells Hood and PoW would have had more options other than charging strait on to reduce the chance of a hit penetrating Hood like it happened. A lot of WWI ships were uparmored over the years, especially as far as decks are concerned(although there are occasions in which the belts were also improved, Hood herself is an example to that). At tier VII with the refit form as upgrade she'll do just fine since she would be comparable to Nagato in terms of protection but she'll be faster and she would have a somewhat inferior firepower(although the good old 15"/42 are far from being bad). -
As said previously I don't have them so I haven't noticed they are too high from the water. If that's the case and it's gimping them too much they could lower them so at least it would be a tiny more difficult to penetrate and doing massive damage to them. Granted wouldn't improve the actual thickness of the belt but the it would surely decrease the penetration of incoming shells which is still something.

They never bothered. The only thing she ever did before getting scrapped is to act as the set of the film about the sinking of her sister.

They are quite an oddball but I wouldn'0t see them anywhere past tier III due to the low firepower and crappy protection. -

Hood had 12" belt and her deck was supposed to be upgraded but the refit was never done. Nikolai wasn't bad, she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Pretty much every ship would end up being a pile of scrap if involed while under construction in a civil war with foreign forces involved. Besides the Reds had no interest in the Navy because they had other problems much higher in the priority list like, as example, rebuilding a nation after years of civil war while reforming everything. Kongo changed designation but she didn't change all that much. Besides classifications are meh(Fantasque for the USN is a CL as example and some people think something has happened when the US designate her that way). Back to Hood: the refit was planned but not performed due to delays and then the loss of the ship. Wouldn't be that surprising, then again who knows if we'll see the BB or the BC line first since both have big names on. -

WG said, not too long ago, this: Source: their magazine which went live some time ago. Back to the topic: as said above modelling ships takes some time but, eventually, all the ships you said will appear(although Prinz Eugen kind of is ingame since her class is represented, you just need to mod her skin). -
They added Bly some time back respecting the nationality. There may not be other Polish ships around but she had to be implemented due to the fact she was one of the strongest pre-war destroyers around.

What we know about Ships: Updated 05/04/2017
Deamon93 replied to mr3awsome's topic in General Discussion
In an article on their magazine they said they will focus on the German and Russian tree first. When that will happen and what there will be who knows for sure. Still WG should announce before hand what they are going to implement as they did in the past. -

Up to this moment WG added one line per tree every time ship content patch hit. As a consequence if Germany gets BCs it won't happen anytime soon(I don't see WG dropping the BBs due to all the Bismarck fanboys). As far as CVs go WG said all the nations will have all the classes so, eventually, there will be German CVs. Granted I don't think they would have the priority compared to other classes but it will happen. The Q&A in EU was public but I don't recall if it's locked or not and, more importantly, where the thread went after WG changed the forum. I'll try to find it and come back to you! -

I don't know if there is a Q&A still active, at least in EU and NA where I have accounts(can't say about ASIA and RU). I don't recall if that specific question was asked, it's plausible though. In any case I think the BCs can easily have a line for themselves in case of some nations(UK and Germany), for the others I don't know enough design which could make the split in the line plausible(there may be but I'm not aware of them at least). -
Capabilities =/= service record. Prinz Eugen was an oversized cruiser which still had meh protection. Zara as example before getting things stripped out to due the excess weight had 200 mm of belt armor, that's a bit different against the mere 80 of Hipper&co don't you think? Emden luck was the fact she operated in the Indian Ocean and finding a ship like her took forever. Take as example the hunt for Bismarck: the Brits took a while to find her, not because they are bumb or because Germany has stealth technology but because finding something in the middle of nowhere was, and pretty much still is, complicated. Emden was perfectly suited for commerce raiding but in actual combat she wasn't(otherwise why wouldthe Kaiserliche Marine would have bothered refitting most of their newer cruisers with the 150 mm guns instead of the 105 mm guns?) Saying they were fast is a bit vague though, simply because regarding the post WWI cruisers that tends not to be true(compared to contemporary cruisers from other nations that is). Stealthy raiders? If you have a way to find 100% of the times at the first try what you're searching go and apply to any Coast Guard, you would save them a lot of money. Overwhelming numbers? The Brits do like the overkill, so what? They had the numerical advantage so they were able to exploit such advantage against the Germans, both in WWI and in WWII. Granted from Jutland onward nobody has ever gone so overkill than them(the whole Grand fleet crossing the T against the poor Germans, granted they survived because they GTFOed the moment they realized what was up) 1/2 imaginary? Let's make a run down, shall we? II)Dresden: historical III)Colberg: historical IV)Karlsruhe: historical V)Koenigsberg: historical VI)Nurnberg: historical VII)Yorck: she was a paper design developed prior Deutschland VIII)Hipper: historical IX)Roon: probably fictional X)Hindenburg: probably fictional So there are nine cruisers here and to get 1/2 you need to have between 4 and 5(depending on how you round up). You have two probably fictional and a historical paper project so the maximum you can achieve is 3(ie 1/3 of the line). If you count the probably fictional only you achieve a bit more than a fifth(2/9=0.22, rounded up). Maths doesn't lie. Crap armor? Find me a German cruiser which had good armor(ie superior to their contemporary counterparts) if you think that isn't the case. The German BBs, at least until tier VI/VII(depending on which ship will end up at tier VII) would play out more or less as the US ones(slow and with good level of protection) but with some differences, especially regarding the primary armament. Saying they will be crap is a bit of an overstretch, especially since the only BB we currently ingame(Tirpitz) isn't crap(although I encountered a lot of people not able to use her properly, not surprising in case of a premium).

Didn't notice that, thank you sir! I'll edit it right away
