Australia isn't Asia though. Besides Australia, New Zealand and all the other Dominions mostly used British built ships so they should stay within the UK. Regarding the flag it's an easy way to avoid the political controversy, besides it should technically collect other Asian countries unable to have their own trees(Thailand as example which should have a few ships elegible for the game).

Someone has to pay the bills and these ships are meant primarily for the Asian market, just like the ARP missions were. Granted without statistical data from their server is hard to judge but it's fair to say it is a cheap(in terms of costs) addition to make more money there(especially considering the gaming convention which should happen in a few weeks in Taiwan). Well Italy could have more interesting premiums than a simple reskin. Still all depends on the estimated revenues and, most likely, a Chinese ship "spoilered" right before a gaming convention has a higher potential. Selling her in the other regions is just a way to increase the revenues(although most likely not by much, then again hard to say). If they make bundles it's because enough people buy them to justify their presence, simple as that.

A lot of things went in and out of the folders so their presence may or may not be relevant(Bismarck was in the folders for ages and yet she's not in the game yet, just as example). It may be a way to say Habbakuk will be implemented though, who knows

Mainland China has strict rules. As far as I know not a single historical flag is allowed so the trees have fictional flags and the nations have fictional names. The ROC flag wouldn't be an issue because the mainland Chinese user wouldn't even have the other flags but something else.

The Sumner-class was the second Lo Yang. The name was re-used after the Benson-class was decommisioned(in the article isn't specified though).

Ah ok so a sort of mix between design 2 and 3. Well the name can be invented taking into account the usual sources for the French BBs. It could be a province(Lorraine perhaps). Then again the name is just an educated guess.

Actually there was an Alsace with 3x3 16" guns, then again it would be like Iowa so still not suited for tier X.

They required a lot of time to complete them and so the design got updated, this doesn't change the fact that the original design was different.

Remember that the plan was to laid them down by 1940(ish) but then the Germans threw that plan out of the window. The gun wasn't even in the papers yet. Well she is a tier IX, she can't possibly compete at tier X.

My bet is on cruisers, then again even if they do start with BBs WG has to implement the cruisers from I to III which are pretty much the main problem of the cruiser line. I guess we have to wait and see. In any case lately I'm working on the guns and I'm trying to make them work as far as damage is concerned. I've avoided the range/dispersion issue simply because it's beyond what I can hope to achieve

The 100/55 was designed in 1945 and entered service in 1948, a bit too late to be considered for Alsace. The gun would have been the 100/45 Model 1933 most likely(planned for Gascogne which was developed a bit earlier than Alsace but not much earlier). Still the mixed secondary armament is less efficient as far as weight is concerned compared to the 5"/38 spam of the US. Moreover the 5"/38 spam is multiple times better as far as AA is concerned, the contrary is fairly hard to prove.

Before commenting on the subject I'll wait to see how it works in action. I have a question: will the current effects of positive reputation canceled or will the popular topics remain so even after the change? Because it's a bit unclear.

The last capital ship which had something to do with the British is Fuso(being based on Kongo which was developed for Japan by Vickers I believe). From Nagato onward Japanese BB and BC designs had nothing to do with the UK. The H-class was impossible to realize in practice: it would have taken almost a decade to complete H-39 which was the smallest of them all and many of the later designs were done to please Hitler and weren't intended to go beyond the papers(and they were a waste of papers at that). H-44 would have trumped Yamato in theory, in practice H-44 was just a way to please Hitler's fantasies. Alsace most likely

That's a strong statement since you can talk for yourself and not for everyone here. Not many people think as you do. In my opinion I don't particularly care about the nation it comes from, it just have to be an interesting design and I'm happy. As example Bly: as far as nation she's a dead end(Poland doesn't have a lot of material) but she is quite an interesting DD. Of course I would rather not have it Chinese simply because it would be a clone of something else which either already in another nation tree or should be there.

The Condottieri-class is a big family and there's enough material to have premiums, Montecuccoli is one of the plausible premium variants(since Duca d'Aosta should get the spot in the line). She would be a tier V or VI most likely although the exact tier placement depends primarily on balance. I don't know which ship either China got at the end of the war. They may have got some high tier material from Japan or the US since the Soviet Union gave some 7s to the Communists and that was it. Plausible of course but I don't know what they could get there.

Moat likely is a British one, then again it's too early to say. In any case good catch!

Haven't seen that name in a while. Granted it's just another Omaha clone but with all considered should be a reasonable trainer and money maker. I wonder if they'll make another run in EU as well(if there was one but I believe I noticed one once at least). Or he just checked their portal, that works too.
