As far as weight is concerned the 203 mm shells is more than double(122 vs 45.3 kg). The splashes should be different enough to see what caused what. They may not have been the most useful of all times, that's for sure. Moreover the ships themselves, from what I recall, are just a WG what-if based on the primary turrets(which apparently were designed) but that's another story.

So? The caliber of the primary armament doesn't change the fact you can have a heavy secondary armament.

If you hate paper tier Xs then realizing having a paper there will be the norm,excluding the DDs which should be mostly built. Still only the CVs are paper heavy and those aren't exactly the priority

Eventually there will be more ships. The only class which would be more problematic is carriers: there were projects for carriers but placing them in a line would be complicated at best. Not only that there will be issues with the planes since in most cases the choices done won't help with balance. As example the Italian CVs under construction were planned to carry only fighter-bombers, capable of fulfilling every role a CV required. That kind of flexibility would require a lot of work since it can't fit on the current system where there are strict specialized squadrons

Two years for the whole process(research, modelling, art etc etc). Still it was already known the fact that it takes some time to complete the whole process, without taking into account the country of origin(which may or may not influence the initial research, depending on how complicated is to access the material and so on).

Well all the WWI era designs will require what-ifs due to the fact they had very minimal AA. One more or one less wouldn't change all that much

Depends on which period you are considering. If you're considering the naval rearmament under Stalin there were the Projekt 23 BBs in the works(their construction was halted due to the German invasion). After WWII they made a revised version(Projekt 24) but that project was canceled(I don't recall the exact reason). In any case there were a lot of designs which remained on paper, both for the Imperial and the Soviet Navy.

Instead of Ersatz Yorck I would go fo L20. Granted she has larger caliber shells compared to the counterparts but barely. She van easily be balanced to stay there

I had to vote for Italy, I would feel bad otherwise Strange that France is beating Russia in the don't want, poor France(I personally voted no preference because I think the more the merrier) Personally I hoped a fix in the US line before adding cruiser lines, too bad they added Germany and Russia while Cleveland is still at tier VI(nerfed to the ground to stay there). Regarding the OPness of the RU cruisers I don't know: from what I tested(not much at the moment) they are good but they can't take a lot of punishment(more or less like the German ones). Still need to have more games with those to have a proper opinion though

That is quite an amusing theory. I can just talk about Italy since I'm more in touch with things there(due to my little project of mine). There are two main museum: one in La Spezia(currently under renovation so a part of the museum is closed) and one in Venice. La Spezia has also an archive but I still have to ask if it's possible to get access. As far as private archives are concerned a friend of mine went to Ansaldo and asked about their archives(he's an Ansaldo employee): they told him they are quite messy and never bothered working on them so they don't even know what they have. Moreover there's the factor the Russian community should be the largest, plus the fact they have easier access to archives(closer to them and they don't have to translate).

Isn't Audacious more comparable to Essex? As far as I recall Essexwas developed around the same time and thry should more or less have the same capabilities. Anyway cvs aren't my cup of tea and most of the balance depends on the planes rather than the ships themselves(making things more complicated)

Potentially she can be the most liked ship for BB players with good aim, then again there may be a relatively high dispersion to compensate(I don't know how the guns are placed in the turret but, if placed like in Ferrati, there may be a valid reason to have a highish dispersion). The tier X has the potential to be dangerously strong in that regard, then again with the guestimated data I put there the dpm isn't that scary. The scary part is that this gun(as the 381/50 and the 406/50 before it) should have one of the highest muzzle velocities and the flattest trajectories ingame. I still need more info regarding the tier X, hopefully I'll be able to have it SOONTM

They will add the RM eventually. When will that happen exactly is unknown. It's possible in 2017(so in a year or so).

Well they mentioned the UK and Australia which, as a British dominion, had only British ships(sometimes slightly modified but nothing too fancy). I guess the most likely interpretation is that they are considering UK&co as a whole(which makes sense). Then again we shall see
