Well maybe was built to resist almost everything. She survived several attacks, two nuclear bombs until the leak happened. Quite impressive indeed, counting the fact that probably a Zara class wouldn't have held so much punishment over the time

Strange to see that Prince Eugene is more appreciated in Germany than in Italy. My own city owes him a lot when he defeated the sieging French. Back to the ship: was a very nice heavy cruiser. It's a shame she ended that way but many other ships did. Thank you for the topic by the way!

Something is wrong with the host then, at least i guess it's the most probable cause. I hope this issue will be solved soon enough! -

Daimon_Frey_89, on 06 November 2013 - 01:29 PM, said: Actually Russians focused on submarines and had a lot of succesfull attacks in Baltic and Black sea. Their destroyers provided last phase of escort to convoys to Arkhangielsk and so on. They had simply different approach and no need for surface fleet, and this approach is still present. Kupniula you spam in every topic so hard to make those 150 posts that I can't watch this :sceptic: Same for Germany but Germany improved its surface fleet while Russia didn't due to different approach as you said and lack of skill in building large ships(they tried but they failed). Nevertheless Russia is not one of the naval powers, the few ships they had were unsuccessful/used as fortification to reinforce key points(the most known example is during the Siege of Leningrad). Of course the Russians had more focus on subs due to many reasons and subs were their line of defence against German and Finns ships(although they were trapped in the Finnish Gulf for a long time due to mines and anti subs nets) -

Achmed_Gringo, on 05 November 2013 - 05:43 PM, said: But are they gonna complete the whole (atleast mostly) tree of Americans and Japanese before release? Well the ships present in the tech trees shown here are the one in which WG has worked on/is working on/is planning to work on. So most probably yeah we will see more complete tech trees from them right at the start, at least i hope so -
Fine ships, although they didn't do much due to our lack of fuel. Probably with more fuel(and without the British raid on Taranto) we would have been a more difficult opponent for the RN. Still inferior tecnology and training wise but still

Nice ship for WWI, although not the best(there were heavier ships around back then). After WWI the only possible way to use it was how Polish used it. It's a shame she ended scrapped by Germans but she was old anyway, she couldn't have been on servife for much longer. Thank you for the post by the way, my knowlage of Polish forces is pretty limited so you tought me something :)

HMS Queen Elizabeth - British Aircraft Carrier class 2014
Deamon93 replied to Raider_'s topic in Modern Warships
In the early stages here was a carrier with two towers due to balance issues. I don't think that this design was built though, quite difficult to land in a ship like that without crashing in either tower.- 63 replies

HMS Queen Elizabeth - British Aircraft Carrier class 2014
Deamon93 replied to Raider_'s topic in Modern Warships
Surely they will stress the sistem to the limit without any risk. In fact it's just a what if scenario, it's more probable being hit by an asteroid - 63 replies

HMS Queen Elizabeth - British Aircraft Carrier class 2014
Deamon93 replied to Raider_'s topic in Modern Warships
Yeah the engines now are pretty developed but still it's just one part of the whole. With less peiple on board the automatic sistems need to work perfectly and they should have a pkane B in case of failures(could be quite problematic a failure in a ship with minimal crew). Of course i think that nothing will fail but you never know- 63 replies

HMS Queen Elizabeth - British Aircraft Carrier class 2014

<p>Quite an impressive ship, especially counting the little crew needed to sail her. I wonder how she will be on the sea trials, seems a promising design.- 63 replies

Also the Swedish use HMS? I thought only the Brits used it. Anyway seems a nice low tier destroyer although it's quite "young" for low tiers

Ships of the British Navy: A history of HMS Invincible 1747 - 2005

If it's true it's old, the shipyards don't work as before(almost no ship built). I will check anyway! -

Deamon93 replied to Raider_'s topic in Age of Sail Warships
Well i'm not English so i don't know how it works. Here in Italy the Navy chooses the names, although for the politician is not a problem. We don't buy new ships anymore  -

Ships of the British Navy: A history of HMS Invincible 1747 - 2005
Deamon93 replied to Raider_'s topic in Age of Sail Warships
Sad story the one of the battlecruiser Invincible. I read a book about that fight and, as far as i know, the explosion is due to the fact that they didn't store the explosives safely to increase the rate of fire. I hope there will be another Invincible in the future, hopefully able to honour the ships before her -
Nice videos, thanks! mmmbeer, on 28 October 2013 - 07:40 PM, said: I never mind more battleship videos... Well they were the main ship until WWII when the carrier became more important. They deserve all this attention, counting also the fact that now they are just museums(if they were lucky)

Strange looking ships but ehy even the Dreadnought was strange back in her days. I'm wondering how should be the life in there, seems quite claustrophobic(even for their standards  )
