Another copy/paste error, thanks for spotting it! Anyway finished the cruisers, tomorrow I'll do the BBs and start bughunting(because I'm sure I missed a few errors here and there). After that I might start analyzing the results which will take some time.
-
Corrected, thanks! There might be other errors as well so if you spot others feel free to pointing them out

Started another spreadsheet to compare the various ships as far as main armament is concerned. As of now I've done all the DDs and started the cruisers(might be able to finish them for today). Here's the spreadsheet: https://docs.google....dit?usp=sharing
-
Updated the spreadsheet but there are still plenty of things missing. It will be quite complicated to fill the gaps but I might start comparing them to what's already implemented in what's already in the sheet while I figure out a way to calculate the rest.

Wasn't the 57 developed with Bofors? In any case I'm sure WG will add the Bofors+Oerlikon spam to the French from tier VII/VIII(ish) up, although I hope they'll avoid that(since there will be already said spam in the US and UK lines)
-
France had good AA after Uncle Sam came along, before then was crap

The cruisers were hinted in the Christmas video. Anyway tier 8 Algerie with tier 9/10 there are projects derived from Algerie. There should be threads on them
-
Most likely, except a few(La Galissoniere, Algerie and the potential tier IX/Xs) aren't that remarkable. Most of them are made of paper(literally, with only boxes around the vital parts and nothing else) and not that fast. The guns however tend to be on the good side compared to the other nations.
-
Kawachi guns weren't the same performance wise, which is why WG replaced the wing ones.
-
Glad to be of assistance! Regarding the name of the tier III I don't know if the ship will get name after her designer, still I'm sure WG will find a name for her (like in case of the other projects).

I started working on the guestimation of the various stats and here's the spreadsheet. Disclaimer: it's a work in progress so things are subject to change. Link to the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WTSPZLFwZa4RK1p4BXiZgRKPuZ5A5ThfkUhOghAf-D4/edit?usp=sharing Every feedback is greatly appreciated!

I used the formulas in the NA forums to calculate the various stats. The 381/40 would be an oddball because it would have, unlike the others, a high HE damage and Burn % chance. Most likely would have quite a different style(HE for long range, AP for shorter range). Then again all the stats are based on reversed engineered formulas which might change (still working on the spreadsheet, when it's more or less readable I will show the results)

People could want something all they want but if you have around 2.5 work days per month of access on the archives(USMM) you can't get stuff done fast. Even if WG decides there are rules they can't wait for the Italian beaurocrat
-
Popular demand isn't the only input. In any case their tree will help ours due to how closely related the two Med powers were(and still are), plus the fact I will be able to work on something more solid There are Italian ships in production, don't worry Speaking of what they thing of adding the plan for the Soviet DDs is quite important: first made my miniline for the destroyer leaders possible and secondly could make the Italian DD line as I depicted possible(depending on where they place the various ships). I guess I have another reason to keep the smaller girls on hold

But if that's the case water would be able to enter only into the extreme fore/aft sections since there's the bulkhead stopping(at least from what I remember about their protection scheme). Regardless a sizeable amount of water can put her in danger that's for sure, although it would take a while to get it(a 250 lbs bomb should be small in diametre, making it somewhat difficult for water to get in quickly).
-
NASA lost a satellite for a mistake like that so in my eyes might happen a mistake like that, abeit I don't put in doubt his expertise and professionalism. Still even a small bomb can do damage if it penetrates something vital(like the charges or ammunition depots)
-
Possibly but it's hard to say For tier VII there's BC 1930,pretty much a downsized Littorio. There isn't much info easily available on that ship but I can help you with what is readily available. For tier IX there's UP.41, tier X is complicated. As far as the tier III slot is concerned Dante Alighieri should be quite excessive(she is a lot stronger than the tier IIIs in firepower, relatively faster and a protection comparable with tier IVs). I can see why you picked her though since she's the first built
-
250 lbs bombs are quite small, strange that such weapons could deal that much damage. Anyway I will start an overhaul of the tree on the 13th to fix some issues present in the various lines and start comparing the various ships listed to what we have in game. I will prioritize cruisers and battleships first since the poor DDs would take quite a lot of thinking(due to the fact they don't differ a lot from the RU line while being overall worse than them). It will take some time but thankfully I'll have plenty to spare.

Whenever possible please link the source so it's possible to verify how legitimate the content is. I'm not saying it might be false, just saying it should be a good practice so we can be sure about what's in there

The class you mention won't be particularly suited for the game: slow (15 knots), not that protected (100 mm max on the turret faces, the rest is all thinner). The armament is decent considering the displacement but not enough to compensate the various drawbacks she has.

Queen liz class aka warspite (starting a conspiracy)
Deamon93 replied to Black_Prince42's topic in General Discussion
Tirpitz has torpedo racks, Warspite has fixed tubes. Moreover there's a reason why such tubes were removed over the various ships and never installed again after a certain point onward -
Proposed Soviet super heavy cruiser by Ansaldo 1936
Deamon93 replied to ptdockyard's topic in Warship Projects
The ship has only three turrets and not four. Sadly I haven't found any picture of said project, perhaps Ansaldo has something but their archive is a mess. The only hope is to have something in the Motherland archives -
French cruiser and some new content teased in the recent Bad Advice.
Deamon93 replied to RoyalColor's topic in General Discussion
It's not French because it has an aft turret . Joking aside your assumptions are logical and I agree to what you say. Hopefully WG will give us more pieces of info in the foreseeable future
