From my personal experience both the Cleveland and the New Mexico have weak turret armor and I get them knocked out sometimes (not as often as before though). I think it's a good thing for balance purposes. I actually don't know if they nerfed the Cleveland since the CBT, as I find it not as overpowered as it used to be and getting turrets blown contributes to that. I remember a while back there was this period where armor was so bugged that almost all games I had I got at least one turret blown off, and several games where I had all of them blown which was quite comical I think the Clevelands turret survivability is balanced at the moment - if they were tougher that thing will be too powerful again.

I'm pretty sure that for the tier 5 skill it should say that it affects "carrier based aircraft", as the previous skills certainly define that in the description- 18 replies

- over me 2 left, no hostiles around them - over me 1 left The enemy carrier was sending planes to reset their cap and as I was out of fighters I was ctrl+clicking planes to try to take them out with AA and after a shot down a few I get a "Clear sky" medal. I actually laughed when I saw it and was still confused as I was sure I hadn't shot down 30 panes and indeed when I glanced at those ribbons or whatever they are I saw I've shot down only 20!! which confirmed that I have been shooting down my own planes! So I want to know is this BS working as intended?? Because it made my fighters practically useless for the whole match, I was hoping that at least when i service them it would "fix" itself. Has any1 else had this happen to them?

Okay Sharan, ty for the reply! If it happens again I will post again here, maybe eventually we will figure out what's causing it.

You will laugh at my failing to do anything that game also, after that bug hapened I was more focused on looking at wtf is going on than playing. Guess I will post it here, so whoever is interested can see it. Btw Sharana pls tell me after u see it, if in the beginning of the battle where I did an auto drop on a DD, if that auto drop was bugged some way because it was the most weird drop of torpedoes I've ever seen so far in this game - the cone was like very tight, almost like 2 of the halves of the cone overlapping and was kind of glitching around with the direction which will drop them, and it launched them in a very random direction not even close to the direction the DD was going and they could have hit a friendly. Edit: Forgot to mention in case you are wondering why in start I'm not doing anything it's cause my low end PC. When the game loads it's on average 18:40 - 18:20 left on the clock replay.rar

Sadly I haven't had much "fun" in them. And the only reason is that every single one of the games I went in, all the carriers were rocking fighter heavy setups and I didn't matter which nation or tier they were. I personally don't care about the IJN strike setup rebalance, it didn't affect me that much as on the public test I was still doing decent damage with my IJN CVs even with less TB and DB, but with the fighters nerfs and buffs I don't know how I feel about those. Yesterday a single squadron of bogue fighters killed my independence fighters, I'm not sure if he had an upgrade for the +20% fighter survivability on his Bogue but that was simply ridiculous!! I still managed to have some fun with my US CV, rocking a multistrike setup, but I'm feeling pressured to buy a fighter heavy loadout just because of the massive number of players playing it.... I guess I'll take a break from CVs for now.

Actually the Colorado benefited a little from an accuracy buff i think with the new patch, so overall it should be a better ship, especially if you go brawl with is as I think it should be played.

Greetings! I am considering getting a pre-order package, but first I have some questions regarding ship's earning potential in the game. As the game is still in a testing phase I think the current credits and xp we earn are buffed for testing purposes, but can someone confirm that? At the moment I am averaging @ ~130k credits and ~1k XP per battle, but if this earning ratio is the same as it will be on the live servers I don't see a real reason to get a premium ship. The second thing I am wondering is what exactly is their earning potential, can someone that has tried out some premium ships share his/her experience with them - how much credits do they get on average for an average and a good battle? What tiers are the best "money makers"? Is tier 8 gona be the best like in WoT? I haven't really played much of WoWp, but i remember reading somewhere that tier 7 was the money making tier there, but I might be wrong.

The maximum and minimum tiers you can see for each tiers are clearly mentioned in the WoWs wiki, I don't know why people don't bother searching for some information and so many topics about seeing ships 3 tiers higher than you are created...

if you are talking about the shell switching one, it's very situational and personal. I actually use it on my BBs because I persoanlly find it usefull when I need to switch shells for a DD or something i else I want to fire a salvo of HE, and it reduces the reload to 20sec which is enough most of the time especially if i am just about to come around an island. I'd recommend it for cruisers with very high reload time if you find youself to be switching ammunition a lot. But after all it's personal preference

It depends on what you want and how you play - if you are going for the tier 5 ones or you don't find any use for them. Do you want more survivability or do you want more gun performance. I can't recommend you anything cause I don't know your playstyle, but I highly recommend you to go on the Public test while it's still active and to test out different skills and upgrades so you know what works best for you. Personally on my BBs and CAs I don't find any of the tier 5 skills useful so I just put points in other skills, but today while messing on the Public Test I found a pretty interesting combo for the cruisers for people who like to snipe and engage from max range - If you take the tier 5 skill for -12% detectability + the modules for -10% detectability and the one for +16% range for main guns, you could actually get your Baltimore and Des Moines to fire from max range without ever being spotted which on the t10 has a huge advantage. Here's how those skills would look like: An alternative, for more aggressive and brawling like gameplay for ranges of about 7-12km may look like this for example: Of the Second example you would have 3 skill points left if I'm not mistaking in the end to put wherever you want to. Some notes I'd like to add: - if you are going to reset your skill points at tier 10 after you've grinded then i recommend going for the t2 skill -7% fire skill as the HE spam on lower tiers is generally higher; - from my experience picking the skill for an extra charge on your t3 skill for the tier 9 and 10 cruiser repair ability comes very handy and I've often had the opportunity to use it; - The skill for extra main turret traverse comes really handy for leading destroyers or other targets while zig zaging, but it has the most advantage for that module for +16% more gun traverse/-10% reload as it compensates the increase in traverse so you basically get -10% reload for the price of 1-2 seconds longer traverse;

8.6% draws.... It's about time something is done about this as it's pure wasted time! I've never actually thought I'd be happy when I see a Domination game, especially in high tier battles where 2/3 of the battles the whole teams snipe each other from their spawns.

Actually the strike setup for the Hiryu as well as the Shokaku had changed from 0/3/3 to 2/2/2 (the 0.4.0 fighter setup) so it gets one less DB as well as 1 less TB.

Yeah, shell travel time is around 17 seconds so you will need some mad leading skillz

N Mexico has okay AA - it's actually pretty good against low tier CVs, but mediocre against equal or higher but that is just how AA works. I think from the bad experience you've mentioned with your ship where you shot down only one plane was because you were facing a higher tier CV ( there is RNG in AA still though! ). As a CV captain I respect their AA as I've had planes shot down by N Mexico and have shot down quite a lot in my own N Mexico, but for a reliable anti-air defence you have to rely on cruisers that they will use AA ability, or at least launch fighters to panic the planes. An advice I can give you though is to ALWAYS ctrl+click air groups as not only do they get focused, but you actually do x1.5 more damage with your AA and that way you could shred planes.
