Was about time they fixed the plane loadouts on the Lexington! I'm happy.

I don't know what team battles you saw teased man, I think 0.5.3 brings new jackets, which will be bundled with flags and some premium time most likely

I tried it out only on the test server. I got mainly in high tier games and those 6 inch guns barely did anything. The HE only works well vs destroyers and on cruisers it sometimes does very low dmg, not to mention BBs. The AP is also very situational. I don't remember what damage I did ( probably averaging 30k), but I averaged 200k credits on a defeat and 350k on a win, but was not performing well. Then I bought an Atago. My first game with it - 100k+ dmg in a tier X game - 800k+ credits. My 2nd battle - 700k+ credits. I did a few more games with similar results, but I think you get the point. I have no idea what the Kutuzov has going for it, other than it's very good AA, but considering carriers are next to nonexistent in the high tiers playing any ship that it's strongest side is it's AA is pointless in my opinion. I hope this helps you on your decision.

Well I only got it once in a ranked battle with my New Mexico. The easiest way to get it I think is by winning by points in Domination. The key is to be in a situation in which the enemy can not possibly get enough points to win and you to be able to either avoid shells by maneuvering or staying hidden. Because let's be real - if you get fired at, you will 100% take damage, it just depends how much it will roll for. And getting fired at by 4 ships in the worst case scenario or even 3 is a lot of guns being fired at you. If you care about how I got it:

Okay I'm gona start with a quote from a post I did on a topic on 0.5.2 when it was still in a testing phase and I had hopes something back then can be done: Well I'm sad to say that my fears did come true after playing today. My first battle - I decided to take my Aoba for a game, got put on Two Brothers and the game loaded for me with 17 minutes left on the clock. As soon as I typed "Is any1 experiencing loading time probleмs after new patch?" in the chat, I had to start maneuvering as the enemy had already made it's way around the left side of the map and was firing at me. Needless to say I got blown up. My second battle - I took my New Mexico, thinking that maybe the problem was cause it was my first loading for the day. Well this time it was even worse - on the Northern lights map I entered the battle with 16 min left on the clock. It was stupid cause I could see how 2 DDs got killed and I was still loading, even took a screenshot I will attach. When the game finally decided to load me in, I as a habit switched to my AP which actually turned out to be a big mistake - for that time I was still loading there were 3 destroyers around me on every side, another one eventually also came along. I literally didn't know who to shoot first or where to even maneuver. By the time I got a few of them the enemy was caping our base (I'm talking about a timespan of maybe 3-4 minutes max) which is insane! I will attach the replay if anyone cares to see what went down. So I want to know what the hell happened?! What did you change? I am looking at the patchnotes and can not see anything which could indicate I will get such horrible loading times. Please, WG, resolve this issue and hotfix this asap, the game is completely unplayable for me. If anyone else with a lower end PC or whatever is experiencing problems after the new patch please give your feedback also 20151223_195902_PASB034-New-Mexico-1941_35_NE_north_winter.rar

There and back again - from ranked to randoms.
Adrian1914 replied to Shaka_D's topic in General Discussion
I actually stopped playing ranked during the season as I was out of flags and had lost a lot of credits due to not running premium, so I was not performing to my max capabilities. What you notice I can absolutely support you and say I felt the same way in randoms - I was more aware of enemy ships. often I could see situations in which I can predict my own death so I avoid them etc. I started grinding some new lines - the IJN DDs and CAs and when I looked at my stats with them I was keeping a surprisingly high win rating (even though my dmg output on the mutsuki is a joke lol) and the reason I'm surprised is that I've played those ships solo almost all the time, except a few games where I was in a division. But I do tend to also come across some more skilled players now I've noticed - when I play my cruiser for example people that shoot me make some pretty good choices in when to switch between ammo and with my Mutsuki I find it very hard to torp people as most of them are always maneuvering and if I get spotted suddenly I get focused which is thumbs up for the enemy I guess. But overall I think even though the frustration that was rank 5 and above, I've become better than when I entered ranked this season. -
I don't use any mods and have always ran the game on the lowest settings possible, even switched to the Ocean port to see if something can change but meh.. Maybe it has something to do with the "minor visual tweaks" which were mentioned in the patch notes, I literally have no idea what is wrong with the client for me :\
-
Okay since I can't post this anywhere as a topic I'll post it as a comment here: I have absolutely horrible loading times! It's never been so bad, I don't know what's going on. The game loads for me anywhere from 16 to 13 min left on the clock which is mindblowing. I've never had this happen on the public test before. Usually if you optimize the game in the PT and it loads better, it carries over on the live game and I get improvements in optimization. Now I fear that on the live client I might get such horrible loading times also when the new patch hits. ( on live I load about 19:30 left on clock on average, even right on countdown is ranked) Does any1 else experience this? It this due to some sort of server latency?

End of the Year In-game Competition Submission Thread
Adrian1914 replied to Ph3lan's topic in Contests
A game I had, where I tried my best but still couldn't win solo At least I didn't go down easy hehe Still got as much XP for a loss as the enemy top player for a win, and that player had a pretty GG also -
Raise! Kind of an old game, but still impressive
-
They add a level each time they introduce some feature. So my guess is on the next content patch we will see some level increase

Well the players in this game are quite a lot so the systems they play on also vary a lot. I myself play on some very old hardware and I also load late for the game - in randoms anywhere from 18:00-19:00min left on the clock. In ranked battles, especially if I've just played on the same map and due to the lower amount of players my best loading times are like 10sec after start. Hopefully when they make some more improvements to the game and how it utilises hardware, all will have excellent loading times.

I'm just curious, as rank 5 gives you a premium league flag, does that mean that the rank is one of those milestone ones that you can't lose?
-
I can give you my thoughts based on my experience so far. I started this season as rank 14, now I've hit the R10 wall. - For 2nd league - if you want to carry - I'd say play a New Mexico. At the 2nd league people tend to not know what they are doing and the frustration in that bracket is unreal. Expect people wandering off, yolo rushing and getting killed and overall stupidness. Even people with stock ships, coming for doubles. Other somewhat good ships are the Fuso, Cleveland and Mutsuki, based on whatever playstyle you want. The main reason I recommend the NM is because if you want to progress in that bracket you will definitely need to carry the games and the NM has a lot of potential to do so. As I said ppl tend to do stupid stuff so you will come across a lot of cruisers sailing in perfectly straight line so citadels or early lucky one shots on cruisers will be something you will often have. Also the NM has excellent armor and when you face other BBs if you face them, making yourself a small target it will be impossible for them to pen you. And you will have 6 guns pointed opposed to 4 for the Fuso in that case. Also take all the advantages you can have in each game -commander skills, flags, premium consumables, camo, etc. I averaged 60k+ dmg each game, always on top so I never had a battle where I lost credits and those extra credits you pay will help a lot in the long run. Your biggest enemy will be DDs so each battle ask your cruisers to prioritize them. - For the first league - North Carolina is best choice for BBs in my experience, followed by the Tirpitz. For cruisers I'd also support the guys recommending the Atago, seems to outperform the others, and for DDs my money goes on the japanese ones, tier 7 or 8. For BBs - The NC seems to outperform the rest due to it's very strong AA potential, and when the captain is facing you nothing can pen it from the front, not even other NC, shells just bounce off or do small dmg. The Tirpitz is semi good from what I see, but it struggles against other BBs, also CVs love them. For CAs - from what I see the japanese cruisers tend to dominate and Atagos are very often on the top by XP. The good captains make some good torp ambushes, I myself have fallen for some. For DDs - my recommendations go for the jap ones for their torpedoes as they can harass the enemy very well and hit hard. Also due to the team play as well as player skill increasing in the high tiers, the gunboat DDs get focused and killed pretty fast. CVs are broken atm, so I can't even recommend playing them
-
I think he might be referring to an issue i currently have with spotting. When I play a DD and pop smoke, when ships are detected for some reason for the first few seconds they appear stationary and then pop up forward with some distance and start moving again. It's something to do with lag maybe, and it's since the latest patch.
-
Almost all IJN BBs tier 4+ and US over 7 go at that speed so they are quite a few ships. And if you are BB and the team doesn't support you, just load the HE, hope the DD makes a mistake and you will generally be fine. But as OP said he was talking about dreadnoughts in particular, so sure I get his point. But here is the other thing. XP is buffed not only for capping, but also for defending as well as denying cap by sitting in zone. Here is a game I just had, I'll attach screenshots. I did a bit over 100k dmg, but due to the resetting and sitting in cap I managed to buff my XP quite a bit. It's just how the game plays out at the moment, try to take advantage of the ways to boost your xp (caps/resets) so you grind faster, and if your ship is a slow turtle just do damage mainly, you still get decent XP for that. And just be a team player!! It doesn't matter if you weren't the top player by xp, just do all you can to support your team and win. Who cares if a DD gets xp by playing the objectives
-
^This! And I personally don't see the problem with them getting more xp, as a mainly BB player. I've lost or drawed so many games where the reason we didn't win was because no1 capped, so the more initiative players have to cap, the better it is for me, as I will do the dmg support for them while they cap. Also I don't have any problem capping myself with my BBs that go over 28 knots so still I don't see a real issue.

How many Reserve Captain slots do you get for your gold?
Adrian1914 replied to Ewokgod's topic in General Discussion
you get 4 more slots -
True. But they have said that the Cleveland will probably be moved to tier 7. But until then it's the only way they can balance it, and when they bump it up they will fix it's nerfs I guess

Alright, so I am experiencing a really annoying issue with the game on my lower end PC and would love it if the developers did something to address it. First of all I am experiencing slower loading times - I enter the game with about 1.5min of the battle passed already but I can overlook that. Probably soon when i get a new drive things will be better. A bigger issue I have is ship rendering. Often at the start of the battle, especially if it's the first one for me in a particular tier bracket I experience the following: I see some friendly ships on the minimap, but I don't see them rendered in game (it's sometimes just a few ships) which can cause me to run into them which kind of looks like hugging an invisible wall and I have to apologise to teammates for that. A bigger issue though is when those ships that are not rendering are enemy ships. An example is when a DD spots some of the ships in the enemy spawn and I want to aim at them but there is just no target rendered yet. A even more frustrating situation is when I am that DD. I just had a game where I was going for B cap on Strait map, when an enemy DD spots me. Now I see clearly that I am spotted and I see him on the minimap as a triangle that hasn't filed yet, but has red borders. I wait some time for the game to load the ship, but the DD is firing his guns at me so he is slowly chipping away my health. When the game finally loaded the DD I was left at about 2-3k health and suddenly some wild torpedoes appeared and finished me off. I should mention that while I was firing I had very bad frame drops. I usually play at about 30-35 but at that moment they were dropping down to 5 or even less. Now I can't say that those issues happen every single time I play, but they do happen randomly. I make sure to not have any background junk running but still... So yeah, I would love it the developers did something about game optimization. After all even though I have a lower end PC, I see people with very good gaming rigs that experience performance issues. PS: I don't know which will be first - the game receiving a performance optimization, or me eventually upgrading my hardware, but I want to ask the more knowledgeable people what hardware component has the most impact on rendering speed? I think it might be RAM, but can someone confirm that? Sometimes before I enter a game click on some random ships in the tech tree to get them loaded, thinking that the memory will cache them and that would help out but idk if what i do is a stupid thing

About my OS I am running Win 8.1, and about my PSU I have a Cooler Master V850 as it was one of the first things I bought, along with my case, when I had decided to do some upgrades but somewhere along the road I relocated my funds to some other things with higher priority. It's funny that my PSU costs as much as my system I was also looking at options for second hand parts just to make things OK for a bit, but still that would requite new ram, mobo and CPU, so i was thinking about buying new stuff straight ( z170 platform to be exact) But anyways My main point that the game could be optimized better is that for example a heavy game like battlefield 3 i play without any problems on low/med settings and get adequate fps. I remember when I started playing WoT, For those who play it, it was around the time where the IS-4 was a tier 9 and the KV-3 was a tier 6. I don't remember what patches those were but it was years ago. Back then I was getting decent frame rates and was actually running an Radeon x1550 with which I actually bought my PC many years ago. But as the game developed and more and more maps, effects, physics etc were added the game became quite heavy. Now though as they have made a SD and an HD client, the game works perfect on my PC and frame rates as well as visuals are very satisfying for me. It's a fact that the optimization for the game is not at it's best, even on some videos of youtubers with beast rigs this can be seen, and I think the game losing the beta status was kind of rushed, but that's just my opinion. I would like it if someone else with low PC specs could share his experience with game performance so I can see what issues we have in common.

Everything is on minimum yeah. Pentium D 945 3.4ghz Radeon HD 7750 1gb gddr5 2gb of DDR2 ram ( not sure about speed) + i think 2 more from that setting where u use a part of your drive I'm not sure about the HDD, I know it's a Seagate 160gb 7200rpm and that it's at least 4 years old. Also the cable interface is SATA 2 I should mention that adding ram is not an option due to the mobo not supporting any more, and that's why I've been putting off upgrading so long as I have to change so many things

Can someone tell me if I am experiencing a problem with my app or I'm not doing something right: I downloaded the app for IOS and got prompted to get the 30 day trial. I clicked on the blue button and then I get the following window telling me to tap something to purchase but there is nothing to tap:
