    true the high was in the middle of the CV rework, as everybody wanted to check out the NEW ACTION CV's, now time has come pass and suddenly it looks like a lovely curve of average players numbers dropping, maybe not due to all the new CV players, but all the old sea dogs who are taking a break from the game, until something improves for all the Non CV players in the game. I have said this before, I am not spending a dime with WG anymore, not just the CV rework, but the AA rework, I was mis-sold ships that were AA cruisers that now can not do shizzle. If 1 out of every 5 games is not a CV game, then really I am only enjoying the game a 1/5 th of the time, which is not a lot. Certain not enough to spend money on. SO really time will tell, more live testing and HOTFIXES, while spending your cash on Premium time or premium ships then to have un fun game as you get murdered by CV's. NO Fun = NO spend... Luckily I have played this game for a while have wide collection of ships, premium and tech tree and am skilled enough that I can make a standard account work, but If I was say 5/6 mths into this game I would certainly be struggling to find enjoyment in this game in its current meta... But hey what do I know, CV's players are going to love there shiny planes and op nature until they are not.. It is all in WG hands, the only thing we can do is not spend money

    those BB have a lot more games in there stats, also CV's killing off DD's is not gonna stat pad, also CV population is getting better, so no real comparison

    and a Note on the business model, WG, what is the point of selling me ships to make flanking movements or ships that have excellent AA, Atlanta, Kutuzov, etc, when still they get through, and wear you down. It really takes fun out of the game, and I do not blame the CV players on this, this is a WG design, that is fundamentally flawed and either, you make CV vulnerable to loosing planes, ie getting deplaned or you give unlimited DEF AA too all ships that carry Def AA that will implement a scatter pattern. or, bring back RTS CV with 1 per match and a high skill ceiling for success! ;-0

    SO here is the results of a nice double T8 CV with 4 competent CV players. and hey ho! it comes down to CV on CV action by flying planes, we only won by getting 2/3 caps, I had no chance against the enemy CV's 2 planes shot down trying to torp dodge dozens of torps Def AA seems like nothing. Bye bye me. results like this are only gonna get worse as CV players gain experience and learn the tricks, you cannot counter it. One of the WG reasons for the rework was to make the mini map less busy, all I now see are planes planes planes, all I have to counter is a clunky( at best ) RNG based counter, verses respawned planes, spotting dmg, HP loss, wave after wave until your gone, The Chat was so in agreement that this was so boring a match and that we felt helpless, and as currently it stands t8, as a tier too play, in is in its worst state ever, due to being overpowered by double GOD cv games...

    Atlantic Fleet, Cold Waters, Men of War, Post Scriptum etc, I wont play War Thunder as I do not like the owning company, which also sad! sadly WoWs was the best Navel MMo out there. WAs being the operative word!

    well WG it has been a while since the CV rework, and I can confirm this: 1 - I am playing very little these days, 3/4 games and then my salt rises and I stop having fun, so stop playing 2 - I have not spent a penny on this game since the rework, where as before I was spending £30-50 per month on premium, gold and ships 3- the content suppliers of videos of WoWs on YT is now pitiful, mostly videos promoting premium ships, there are no CV videos as they are boring as F**k to watch 4- well done WG for not listening to your player base, making a once fun and engaging game in every match to game of maybe 1 out 10 matches being fun, the rest are just click bait for CV's... I see that this thread has grown and grown some more and yet we still have OP CV's that cannot be stopped, so really the impression I get is that WG are not interested in what there old faithful customers wanted and I have voted with my wallet and basically playing so little of the game now. Match after match now are so one sided, that I get games over in 10 mins with 12 ships left one team and other team finished. This is not fun any more. And also because most matches are CV'd when one does get a no CV match people have no idea how too play anymore, so you still get total potato teams... Watching people like FLambass, say every time there is a CV in the match playing against his surface ship making derogatory comments against the CV's and then when playing a CV making a point of ruining other players games and pointing out how broken this whole rework is: Bring limited planes numbers , so shooting down planes with RNG means something 1 cv per match across all tiers anyway I have been enjoying other games and feel that my passionate affair of the last 3 yrs of WoWs has now ended and the game really is broken with CV's in.

    yup 3 mins of flying and striking with there last squadron airborn, so even when they are Hull dead they can still wreck your game. as this replay shows at the end, after I have killed of the CV he kills me and another DD after his hull was dead.     and even if you manage to sink the CV hull they can still get a squadron of planes into the air and sink you and other ships for upto 3 minutes after you have sunk there ships! WTF wargaming...

    Bowmangr, I completely agree, the real sad fact is the unlimited planes, and that even after you have shot 30 planes down they still have more and more and more. Yes they have slow regeneration numbers but its constant power buff through out the match, as the surface ships get worn down, CV's get stronger. Its stupid and it is killing this game. 1 cv per match, with a limited plane load out, and then we would see CV's being more careful about how to use there force, and then if as a DD who has been focused by the Carrier and shot down say 10 planes before being sunk, it then has some actual meaning against the enemy CV because they have a limited number of planes. all this AA and shooting down planes is all RNG meaning less, because buffing away in the back ground are new planes, it really does not matter what AA ship your in, the CV will get through and hit you, time and time and time again. It is so obvious a bad game design and makes for a much more boring game play experience for all surface ships as shooting down planes is meaning less. pointless and therefor and has no real effect on the outcome of the match... and now coming up next Russian BB;s with 1000% AA, Dead shot guns at any range and very thick armour!

    especially when you have hunted down the enemy CV and sunk him, and yet he can still fly his planes and kill you and another team mate, even after his ship is sunk. CV's are op [edited], in their new action format. What other ships can you have control over when your dead, if you have fired torps before you died, then they run on the course you set and that is it.     this arguement for the CV change that players where getting de-planed and there not fun, well hey I get de-HP'd which is called been sunk, so maybe we should have renewable HP so we take dmg and then disengage and hey we can then recoup our HP too come back to fight again - oh wait, would that be unbalanced? If a player of CV's gets deplaned then surely that's your fault, like if I get de-HP'd by that nasty BB that is his fault and there fore I should unlimited HP...

    All I can say is that every time I am into the end game of a match where a CV is involved, irrelevant of the ship I am in, Mino, BB or even a DD. AS the CV can almost field full squadrons even in my Mino after 15 mins of game play, I have no COUNTERS, my HP has been chipped away, my consumables have all been used and it has made no difference if have shot down 30 plus planes, the CV will win against me. ALWAYS as there is no penalty for losing planes. So CV goes out at the beginning of the match and perma-spot the enemy team and DD's and in the process he is de-planed all the CV has to do is hold back on loosing any planes for 5 mins of the game and hey presto he can be fully Armed and lethal at the end game. I cannot have my smoke renewed nor my heal and my DC can only be active every 1.5 mins, which in the meantime the CV have cycled too another full squadron and is all over you, DOT dmg is the killer. And I cannot counter it, as the CV has renewed planes from now where. As A CV really can still field full squadrons at the end game of the match where all his opponents have reduced HP, limited or no consumables left and hey presto there a fully planed squadron attacking you even if you have shot 30 plus planes. It is all meaningless, and there for ruins the end game play. SO adapt they say: Fine so any match with a CV in I make it the mission too hunt down the CV and ignore the objectives as I know that if at the end game it is me against him, the CV will win!.. And ulitmately this is not balanced due to the re spawning nature of the CV's planes, instead of a limited hold of planes for the match like all other ships have a limited HP pool that once depleted means your dead. THE CV just has too stop loosing planes for a period during the battle, and he can then come after you with impunity and with FULL SQUADRONS. I am fairly average player 54% win rate in randoms. But I am now not enjoying any CV games, as once the CV has decided that you must go then there is NOTHING you can do to counter this as killing planes IS meaningless... WG i do not know where you are going to go from here, but will say this that until the CV has LIMITED PLANES then all the balancing you do in the meantime is pointless as the CV will have planes. where as you will not always have HP or AA or counter measures (smoke, DEF AA, Fighters etc). SO enjoying the game when there is NO CV and wanting too suicide when there is. And every time it has come down to me and a CV at the end game, the CV wins every time... unlimited planes, means I should as a player have unlimited counter measures

    If a CV captain does not fly a squadron for say 3 mins in the middle of the game and had a bad start at the beginning say loosing 60% of his available wing, how does his re stocking of planes work out, he will eventually have a full set of planes, though once I have used all my smokes and DF and have been HE spammed to say 30% hp and there is still 5 mins of the game to GO and the CV can field full squadrons,. I have a limited amount of Consumables, so really as Captains, it goes with logic that we should have unlimited rechargeable consumables to give any cruiser / DD/ BB an end game chance against the CV. Otherwise all this AA balancing is meaning less because we are limited on HP and Consumables and they are only limited on recharge rate of planes ie: Attrition rate, but as we get HE spammed and our DPM goes down and there are fewer team mates, etc then we are at the mercy of the CV, or as you will say we can all spec our ships for ANTI CV AA and nothing else and in doing this, too even start to have a chance of issuing enough RNG DMG, you are instantly shrinking the boundaries of game play diversity and end game tactics as all ships have to be one version of the same thing. I can see this in the game play and the experience of the previous few evening games... The only ship I am having any fun in is my radar MINO, and killing 30 planes in a match ,which is meaningless as there are still always 30 more planes to come at you and I have limited hp and consumables... still 30 planes.... meaningless, it may as well be 300 planes, there was prior to patch 8.0 if as a Fletcher you shot down 7 planes, you new that this had affected the CV in the long game, could make all the difference to the end game out come. Now it is meaningless, a distraction, that eventually will kill you. Do a proper RTS cv gameplay Manual, get some of those very talented CC CV players, they know who they are, and get them to put together an RTS game play digital manual and lets get back into the arena of realistic Aircraft carriers with limited stock of planes, as I even seen many deplaned CV's use there ships to ram and sink an enemy to win a game...

    Well I think this update has been a massive disappointment, I have never played CV, never interested, as this is a ship game and the old RTS style gave the CV a high level of Skill, so when you got dropped by one or permaspotted you accepted that the CV player was good and was doing there role. It was a high level of skill, and they had to be careful too not be deplaned, so would encourage clever play and good games. Which when you put it together with all the other aspects of the game meant a fun and engaging game with team tactics, class tactics and ship skills. all thrown together for a great matches. THIS patch has sent the game backwards. Has alienated a lot of your core players (like myself 3 yrs and 100's £). I am now really not enjoying the matches anymore, the game play is stupid and pointless going for objectives, unlimited planes, should there for mean unlimited consumables for all the other classes in regards to the AA and defense. There is no counter to unlimited planes, at all, as they can field, full squadrons at the end of the game, after they have whittled your health to zero, even if you have shot 30 40 100 planes down, it becomes meaningless and there fore pointless which kinda takes any of the fun out of the game. Seriously WG, I know your dropping the HOT FIX tonight but really what you should do is keep the PC version of this game as HIGH level skill based game with RTS carriers, and shove all this DUMBING down bollocks of CV "action" to the consol mob and let them be happy there. It looks boring to watch, it looks boring to play, it feels like the lowest common denominator has brought a once skilled and fun game to a level of bozo brain dead idiots. - on a separate note there is bug with these torps as they are not showing themselves armed (dropped by CV) (little flag) and yet they still explode and cause DMG. pls fix in the next HOT FIX.

    I Have suddenly had terrible lagg issues since a few days back!... becomes unplayable. Bases in the Isle of Man, only started recently, since the anniversary weekend....
