Developer haben sich in letzter Zeit eher gegen das konstate Nutzen von Nebel und Rauch ausgesprochen (deswegen wohl vermehrt auch Hydro und Radar auf den Schiffen). Sie werden den Nebel kaum buffen, was aber die deutschen DDs bessern würe, wäre wieder an der Entdeckungsreichweite nach dem Feuern zu schrauben. Man kann sie ja nur minimal nerfen, anstatt es fast unmöglich zu machen.

As a member of the flying ducks, i must dissaprove of the noun "quack". The other stuff is pretty legit. Ph3lans community-staff also did his part by burying the topic at the start, before it got updraft.

You've had years to learn from the mistakes in communication and treatment back from the whole bundle-discussion. If you don't show us some good-will in the time of christmas (ffs even soldiers stop shooting each other at that time), you can't expect any more good-will from us.

So you guys thought that you could just overrule a decision all other servers agreed on and be able to pay for content on our server...and it was good? Seriously, what are the job requirements for management-positions in EU? Absolute lack of commen sense and community-thinking? You even tried to bury the first threads and comments about this topic, so the fault is also on your community-staff, Ph3lan. This isn't something you just can't hope beeing forgiven. You will leave a really upset playerbase.

Because this topic is now going on for quite a while, I made myself the effort to scrape together some commentaries I found, besides our comfy forum here and the reddit-posts. Most of you guys will know them, but I want to lift off some weight and search from our dear community-staff. european commentaries: (one of the first to talk about the topic) (probably the most known now) (german, with guests. Thank you, that's what we've expected (and hoped) from you guys. One thing tho...I mentioned this back when we had the bundle-dicsussion years ago and it might tone-down the tension between EU-community and the EU-management: Give us a monthly (or every 2 months) Q&A. We alread have a pinned forumthread for exactly this. We could ask questions and avoid some more problematic events. It doesn't have to be huge, 10 or so questions would be already awesome. Just let us build a healthy communication...it's long overdue.

I think as soon as the community contributors picked up the topic, and reddit got lit, they knew they couldn't just bury it.

Differences between the servers popped up quite early, and we saw a lot of smaller event who didn't happen on EU or in a very reduced rate (black friday, rememberance days for big naval battles, etc) I think one of the first big differences we saw, were the bundles sold by WG. The ones in EU were a lot more expensive and you could get premium ships only in sometimes ridiculous bundles with flags, doubloons and premiumtime attached to them. It took a lot of effort, especially from a bunch of the community contributors to bring WG EU to offer ships only (with port slot) on the server. Then we had the event for Kamikaze R where EU only wanted to make a lottery for 2000 ships, while all other servers everyone could get them by achieving the goal. Again, EU turned around due to a massive sh*tstorm. The next that came to mind is the Grand Naval Battle-mission, where (of course) the collection rewards were a lot smaller than on EU. The reaction then was the promise of "something big" at the 15 million mark ( i think), due to the higher activity of EU players. It turned out to be overhyped and I think maybe 50 additional flags. And of course the recent events with the santa convoy. The problem isn't one event in particular, but the continuous treatment of the EU community comapred to others. In every event you can bet NA players are more rewarded by the same missions or challenges. We never got a Q&A (although we still got a pinned thread for collecting questions) We have to collect information (more than frontpage-announcements) ourselves by threads like "something new from RU" The EU management doesn't care about the community itself as long as the sale numbers are good. Now, if you take a look over the big lake: They got so dedicated people there who make up events, because they love their players to have fun (they even just now released a "Rouge" event, just because it's fun and a hommage to the new Star Wars flick) There is also so much more communication between staff and players and I would recommend every new player to start there.

I really love the NA-staff. Even only looking what they do to have fun with their community makes me smile. Those are some really dedicated people who love the game and their jobs. We could only wish for something like that over here.

The main problem is the proportion of battleships in rl and ingame. In rl you had 5-15 destroyers for 1 battleship. Ingame, everyone can play a BB. Of course they are nerfed ingame (secondaries, gunaccuracy, etc) to make other classes somewhat competable. But if you want to reduce the number of BBs in a fleet to a more realistic amount, you would have 1 BB at most on each side, and at least 5 destroyers.

It's holidayseason. Every scrub crawls out of his hole and plays WoWs...so take a break for 2 weeks^^

But it would raise awareness and force WG to say something about that topic.

I like the idea of changing it for nations. Maybe rank-symbols from the different navies?

Meanwhile, on the NA-server: For trying to have a merry and festive christmas, you really don't want us to have fun, do you? What's your excuse this time, WG EU? Sorry for getting salty, but at the moment you are burning the last remaining trust in your management and good-will for the community.

The average player doesn't even read the forum or reddit. The part that gives feedback on the forums are a minority and those people who take part in the complaints are a minority of that minority. A whole lot of people are buying christmas gifts like crazy and WG EU will laugh it's [edited]of if they see our complaints next to their sales after the holidays. Still, I'm not buying gifts, although i was teased by the low price and really would enjoy a new premium ship like Atlanta. The main problem in this whole mess is still the same from back when we talked about bundles. There is 0 communication between playerbase and community management. We have to be happy with what they release by official means, but we never got something like Q&A or announcements outside the calendar. The communitymanagers in WG EU just have no authoriity in anything...maybe they can throw a small event once in a while, but that's it. If I hadn't seen some guys at an event, i wouldn't even know what they look or sound like, because they never do videos or something like that.

We got screwed over big time compared to other servers at least at 4 big events now (not mentioning the smaller stuff like memorial days or similar). I'm well aware that a lot of people don't care and just here to enjoy the game and we won't bother them. On the other hand I would like you to accept that there are players who want to see the game and the treatment of the european community at it's best or at least comparable to other servers. We have to raise awareness for that and forums and reddit are one of the few possibilities to do that. So please stop whining about our whining and have a nice christmas.

I was bored and actually found a phonenumber for WG EU in paris by google maps. Maybe we can phone in after the holidays and ask them if it's warm and comfy with the burning sh*tstorm all around them. (Yes, it's a joke, because we would be either hang up or not even picked up.)

This christmas, WG EU did an active effort to reduce the events and stuff we get. What did you expect? They didn't even put a +100% weekend-bonus on christmas eve.
