It was accepted but did nothing. Probably because i already have one.

Indeed. All games are......games are no IRL accomplishments, count for nothing IRL and have no worth IRL.....games serve only enjoyment and passtime. If you forget that......well you probably suffer. Judging on the many complaint and rant posts many actually do. Toxicness is a good indicator of suffering too i think. Or having the tendacy to try make others suffer attacking their "stats" To start enjoying the game again if you were slipping away simply turn public stats off. And put "ignore user" on the hateful ones that must attack you on not public stats and let them suffer their own convictions.

Smoking up in front of allies - and blinding itself when it was spotting - that just saw a perfect broadside enemy Cruiser sailing by in the distance...... Ramming an almost dead enemy that is under fire by friendlies that would die shortly anyway......with a full HP ship. and so on and so on.

I am always excited about new additions. If it is not understood how they roll one should put effort into understanding how WG thought they should roll.......or watch an actual quality streamer/reviewer that does understand it. No the screamer drama lama's are not among them....in fact if they brand it trash, it is reasons to really look into them. WG is not interested in adding trash. They are interested in filling/creating roles in the battle's flow. Unique operating classes are like keys fitting a lock. That is why the keys of screamer drama lama's do not fit.....they stick it in the wrong lock ( tactics/role )

Judging by the daily complaints i think many do expect exactly that.......and not only this, but a core developer/game CEO to appologize to that player in person. And within minutes ! "Ofcourse your class/ship will be immidiatly overpowered and immunized against damage ! We are very sorry you were destroyed. It should not happen. From now on you will enjoy high scores and obliterate anything in your path. And bounce anything that is incoming for a laugh. Because awsesomeness should do that. Attacking planes will look like celebrative/decorative fireworks only. You will never have to bother about tactics or game mechanics....and ofcourse it is never your fault the mean enemy had the advantage. That is because our game is so unbalanced. We will remove any class that did bad things to you immidiatly. You deserve better dear player !" -

I am sure you are not speaking for WG's native market/server. Ofcourse these ships were wanted...... Same goes for CV....in Asia they seem quite fond of them while in EU and NA 3/4 of forum visitiors ( which is not the same as all players* ) dislikes them. *You should have a look at how many players bought premium CV or spend money getting tech tree CV early....this might surprise you. -

They are keeping tabs via their communications guys. And they are listening. You see that in the patch changes. Subtle changes in the direction the playerbase wants to move. The game creators obviously do understand what game balance is about and do their best not to disrupt it too rigorously. So if you are expecting rigorous things as banned or removed classes, extreme nerfs to everything a vocal group doesn't like and such......yes they listen, no they do not seem to agree. And neither do i on the bulk of usual/daily complaints about the overpowered classes or individual ships of the day......but one issue : i really think there should be much more permanent Operations/Scenario's and for all tiers. I do not like randoms to be the one and only main mode due to the long range campfest, burning down all that dare advance it has developed into. And indeed this wish of more instead of less Operations/Scenarios seems completely unadressed. -
Finally became unstuck at ping-ponging between rank 14 and 15 and got the blue flag. My greatest "champions" that could get me out of the stalemate were Moskva and Yoshino. Not Thunderer. Not Smolenks. ( that did more then OK but lost as much as they won ) And definitly not Puerto Rico. ( that completely sucked for me ) So i look to these 2 Cruisers to advance further. Resetting 5 tech tree lines for RB points was a big mistake. What a terrible mechanic gimping me to only have coals, freemium and bought ships left. And no DD and CV that normally do so well for me. But no one to blame but my greedy self. But there are bright sides of having little choice what to use : i am getting better at playing very large Cruisers that previously mainly got dev striked in my hands. Now it seems they can be actually well performing. Each ship can......but i have yet to learn how. So i need to use that @#$%& Puerto Rico untill i know how it performs too....

ww2 ships making the most damage to enemy military ships?
Beastofwar replied to Puffin_'s topic in General Discussion
Yet the British suffered horrendous losses at the hands of Germany as well......BB Barham, BB Royal Oak, Carrier Glorious, DD Acasta and Ardent, Battlecruiser Hood and im sure i'm forgetting a few right now. And do not forget the real Graf Spee shred 3 UK cruisers ( Exeter, Ajax and Achilles ) to pieces ( by splitting targets up between main guns and secondary guns and engaging them all ) that all but sank. These British must have been inmensly brave to keep fighting taking such damage and human losses. And if only our Graf Spee in game was half that powerfull.....4 km secondaries with always defective rangefinders and aiming mechanisms....HA ! The Brits themselves did a quite a number on the Italian and French fleets as well, especially their awkward carriers with biplane Swordfishes. But all that took place early in the WW and Americans were not really involved in it......so Hollywood tends to largely ignore it. No great movies about that, have to do with black&white dated stuff of other countries making. That said the Pacific was war inmense and savage. But despite pearl harbor the highest chance to die as a sailor was on a Cruiser or Carrier..... -
It gets better and better for me. But i play all classes....not only 1 which i want to be overpowered and immune to anything.

This game is mostly arcade but has some "realism" in it as well. While WWI was the pinacle of warship combat, WWII was a turning point where aircraft became dominant and large Battleships obsolete. You get to feel that transition and will see warships being covered in AA over their whole lenght and every available spot up to tier X. And ever faster and more powerful planes as well. If you can't deal with that, play something else.

Very solid ship when you don't show any broadside. It's "weak" reputation is not justified. This while i still can't make the Puerto Rico work......for me it is the biggest turd of this ranked. -
Well here is a CV player that - does not drop fighters on DD or other allies. For the reason i need them myself as spotter planes for DD hunting, CV defence or to continue spotting indirect damage when my planes return to the CV. - that does not turn enemies from torpedoing friendlies. DD do a lot more damage then CV can so DD torpedo salvo's that actually hit are better for the win, it would be contraproductive for own interests to interupt that. So you must be quite happy with that......many team mates are not. And "saving" those that cannot stay buoyant with fighter consumables is not good for the win. Dropping a fighter over them will only delay their demise a few seconds to minutes at maximum. Rarely will they use that slightly extended life to sink enemies because they were already in trouble/failing to be in such state. And waste a limited consumable. So it is not productive. Live and let die. Killing enemies is good for the win. That goes faster with focus and not being distracted by actions that are futile. If you think that is harsh, i am in DD for roughly 25 % of my play time myself......and Cruisers and BB for 45 % of the time. i NEVER mewled for fighters dropped on me......i like to keep my own pants up....
-
Standard Cruiser stuff....concealement, +1 consumable and so on.
-
Since the RB reset i only have coal/buy/fremium tier X ships left. 4 Cruisers and 1 BB. All of them do fine except for PUERTO RICO ! Is there anything i'm overlooking playing that in ranked ? It's weak points are obvious by now.... CONS Gun accuracy is found wanting, using American battleship dispersion. Low penetration for a large-cruiser. HE performance is lackluster. Clumsy handling with a slow rudder shift time and enormous turning radius. Large surface and aerial detection ranges.

Manfred von Richthofen's bombers are OP?
Beastofwar replied to Warrior_16101991's topic in General Discussion
It's actually easy to find out : go to a 3rd party stats site, type the names of known high WR CV players, and have a looksee what they are exploiting playing. If the Richthofen is right on the top of their WR list it is OP. If not, it is definitly not OP. These guys have a nose for the most OP ships......skills only go that far......they will never touch ships that are not OP for more then a few matches....their WR would fall !! -
https://youtu.be/YPL7QPCfVZc Yeah i loved that......and the "golden" command centurion had even a lower "voice" https://youtu.be/YPL7QPCfVZc Still......Why we have rumble ( which was an ejectable cassette tape of Soundwave before CD/DVD/harddrives were invented, so much for futuristic stuff lol ) but not soundwave... https://youtu.be/qOu3hYXE_tM?t=34

It really does take a lot of damage....and repairs it right back And these guns with AP on desperate close range Cruisers lol..... -
Then again Soundwave probably can be easily imitated with that true metallic robottic voice. Starscream is much more difficult to mimic. By the way why not the not the Dinobots ? They are a perfect fit for the BB playerbase that only plays this class....large, powerful, clumpsy with their size and power and not really that bri.....

They do not sound like the originals. But The background music is from the original series......i recognise it from almost 4 decades ago. For the Decepticons it is '80s "hard" rock which fits intense battles well. As does the comments of Rumble that now found a place on a ship where i think he belongs : in SMOLENSK. Rumble causes panic and chaos with his pile driver arms. Smolensk causes panic and chaos with it's sky blackening streams of shells. Or ripping DD apart in mere seconds in flat trajectry closer ranged combat. "We destroyed a destroyer....get it ?? HAHAHA " Besides that Rumble sounds like a transformer that could have been in the series. Close enough for me. I rather would have had Starscream ( the original ) or Soundwave ( the original ) though. But i read somewhere/some time that these voice actors maybe not with us anymore as we are speaking of things that were produced almost half a century ago. Then it is harder to get "original" voices. Not impossible though in a time where you can produce deep fake imagery and sounds. Or just mimmic that voice a lot closer then was now attempted.

Detection [7] Detection - detecting a ship for the first time or detecting one that has been undetected for at least 90 seconds: CV receives 0.75% of XP/Credits of the reward for full HP damage to the detected ship. BB receives 1.50% of XP/Credits of the reward for full HP damage to the detected ship. DD receives 2.00% of XP/Credits of the reward for full HP damage to the detected ship. CR receives 3.25% of XP/Credits of the reward for full HP damage to the detected ship. The detection of aircraft and torpedoes also generates a small reward. Spotting and Damage on Spotting [7] Spotting - detecting a ship that is then damaged by your allies (that could not otherwise see the target) gives the following: BB receives approximately 10% of the reward for full HP damage to the spotted ship. CV receives approximately 20% of the reward for full HP damage to the spotted ship. CR receives approximately 30% of the reward for full HP damage to the spotted ship. DD receives approximately 40% of the reward for full HP damage to the spotted ship. The spotter must be detecting the target at the moment the shells hit. The reward is divided by the number of spotters. Damage-over-time (fire, flood) is not rewarded to spotters. Other Considerations The more Base Capture and Base Defense points you earn, the better. XP is not awarded for damage to shore installations. Total rewards do not scale linearly. Destroying one cruiser earns full reward. Destroying two cruisers earns about 0.85 x gross reward. For destroying three cruisers, 0.67 x gross reward. (These are estimates; actual scaling is not known.) Diversity of activity is rewarded. For instance, a BB that camps at the back doing one task - shooting at long range - will earn less than the BB that accrues the same damage while shooting and also defending a capture point. Achievements add hefty bonuses to the reward. Finally, the Base XP rewards increase 50% for the winning team.[8] 20 % of of the reward of the damage allies do upon your spotting do not seem a small score bonus contribution to me.....especially not in the higher tiers where damage dealt is heavier as the weapons are heavier and there are much larger HP pools to deplete. When some ally claps a Yamato in a few broadside salvo's that is still worth 97k - 25 % = 19k worth of that allies damage score. So ending up with well over 100k of allied caused damage cannot contribute marginally to CV score but is an important part of it. Maybe an inconvenient truth to players that lean on CV high scores and think they are special.....a considerable part of it is not their own damage, but produced by a passive mechanic.

Why play a BB if we got Stalin and Petro?
Beastofwar replied to Mastadans's topic in General Discussion
Not ever is a big word.....but without clan battles or ranking out in ranked battles progress is pretty slow....years for certain. -
I may have a clue what that is about though : CV also receive a score contribution in game from spotting. So when they spot and their allies make excellent use of that doing very heavy damage to enemies in the planes view the indirect damage score of the CV will soar up. With ranked often being more confined areas of combat = faster/closer action = more damage done in CV planes view. And that is without active action of the CV's own doing like attacking ships itself, which will add up ofcourse. It is quite common for CV to get well over 100+ K of indirect damage attributed to it's score, which it did nothing for to achieve but fly near enemy ships. DD get more score contribution from damage allies do to enemies upon spotting, but they take far longer to get in position, and often must hide behind view blocking objects making CV superior in indrect damage earnings. So when nerfed a bit, this will be more in line with direct damage based result scoring of other classes.

Wows wiki mentions they are not so tough at closer ranges...... Solution : don't camp them at 20+ km ranges. That is their element. You lose.
