    I think it is rather strange no one on the NA forums complains or mentions that steel CV. Do they not get it for steel ? Do all of them bathe in steel ? Do they all hate CV that much ? I can't be the only one that is heavily dissapointed it is behind a steel wall and thus unreachable if you do not/can not play CB. I'm actually that dissapointed i am considering closing the wallet for a long time/and or quitting the game/at least not play it that much anymore like what happend to WT for me. Why grind/play if stuff is made unreachable for large groups of players that cannot play 1 mode for various reasons ? Maybe it was always like that but steel ships did not interest me that much.....that CV does....

    There will be always players that leave their AA active so you can still hunt them............but when they shut down AA and you have to make oil tanker turns hunting them on your own will become very time inefficient. But no worries......CV players can cooperate with other players......together with your DD or radar Cruiser you still can snuff enemy DD's as they will spot for you instead of the other way around for a change.

    Tier IX and X should have more noticable AA : the ships of that period are covered from bow to stern in AA emplacements with actual efficient type AA guns by that time.

    Very likely indeed....and as someone remarked i won't be playing CB's any time soon anyway : for a moment i completely forgot i RB'ed my tier X CV's and i won't get them back for weeks of grinding.... I wasn't expecting to see service in some high horse clan anyway....those players are generally toxic, uptight as hell and extremely demanding, and probably no CV player will be welcome without that steel CV anyways. I do not fit with such players as could be expected, some of them are on my ignore user list.... But there must be more relaxed clans playing CB also, more befitting what i can offer them if they would need it. Hidden stats or not i am a 60 % WR CV player so someone can take it or leave it. My own "clan" is a 13 player passive oil pumping collective.....that is not going to see CB's. Can't just leave the port i build for 2 years ( and the guys i just recruited that make use of it ) for another clan either.....

    I saw that insane wide stream of torpedo's you cannot evade at all....the nearly 300k damage it did....it is insanely OP and completely unenjoyable to be up against as you cannot evade anything as masses of muntions are dropped on you......it looks like a sick joke but it isn't aprils fools day......i swear WG propped the thing to punish CV boycotter clans !! Even if the mass of bombs/torpedoes/rockets have the power of child safe firecrackers, it will still ruin the match of any CV hater......as they are helpless against it and they will feel that for sure. Action = reaction so WG must know what comes of this.... But that woudl also mean when it served that purpose they will remove or nerf it to kingdome come it very fast too.

    I now need steel too....but im only good enough in CV ( ~60 % WR in all models ) so i am willing to fill that place for clans that don't have CV players or less experienced ones.

    I knew that was coming and i'm not too happy that CV is totally out of my reach for years to come. A great idea to make it only available for CV boycotting clans.......which in theory would make it rare. But i don't think it's gonna be rare.....these clan CV boycotters are turncoats and opportunists. They won't ignore powerful ships.....wait and see.... And since these CV hating clans that have acces to it will still hate it and cry the heavens down about it, it will probably be removed by the time i could get one....

    Fact is you must play a game as it is, as you don't get to decide how it should be.......if you do not like it you play something else. CV, submarines...if you can't enjoy the game with them, why play at all ? If i were WG there would be sea mine dropping ships and planes also......be happy they haven't considered adding that.

    Safely behind a rock in the center they can radar all they want.....they see me but they can't hit me. Got to take care a rival DD does no try to rush around the corner and torpedo though.....hydro is usually sufficient to discourage that. Many actually flee when detected, even when you can't hit them at all. Radar has that effect too....if you can't kill it with radar it is still good for driving off DD from caps that tuck tail and run. That is untill the team allows the enemy to encircle them ( not hold the flanks ) so i can be blow away from the sides. It that case i have to get the hell outta Dodge and give up the center. I often use a Smolensk in above described fasion too.....as an overgrown DD it is very good at hiding behind a rock in the center, and now and then lash out discouraging to dislodge ti from that position......and no DD with a brain will try to rush it......the DD ripping abilities of a Smolensk are unrivalled.

  17. I can tell by the way you react you still assume you should be able to stop the 1st attack. If so you clearly do not understand the CV rework design. WG had the choice between : 1) gruesome apha damage ( this would be realistic ) instantly sinking any full HP ship upon a full hit. Resulting in uproar and lamentations of the insta-destroyed players that cannot accept this. 2) minor chipping damage that must be repeated several times to sink a ship. Only already considerable damaged ships ( by whatever source ) can be destroyed instantly as the minor damage CV planes can do must be sufficient to cause that. They chose the latter. And still you complain it is too much damage....... The full broadside weight of a Yamato for instance is 9 x 14800 = 133k potential damage. Compare that to Hakuryu's 3 x 6800 = 20k potential damage. Or 40 K if that squadron lives to make two attack runs. That sqaudron needs to fly back 3-6 times (!!) to do the same potential damage as a BB does in one single salvo !! And will take the planes MUCH longer then 30 seconds to do that. You will say that 133K potential damage almost never will reach that value. The same goes for the AP bombs.....most miss, shatter, bounce, hit 0 damage plating or get a much lower value simple plating but not citadel penetration. Just like AP shells do....but for MUCH lower damage. But whatever one can reason, the rage of an insta-blap by bombs and impression that must be insanely OP sticks......even if it is not by facts. Some even fuel that rage and revel in it. I can tell you when i see aerial torpedo's hitting a BB for a "whopping" 4k i am not too pleased myself.......this should be ofcourse close to DD torpedo's = 20K dmg a piece, surely sinking most ships with 4 of them.......yet i understand the CV rework.....this chipping damage ( needing a bloody 15+ torpedos hitting the target = 4-8 times flying back to sink a 60k ship IF you don't miss any ) is the sacrifice for not being able to get stopped all that easily.
  18. You can launch torpedo's from the 2nd line......just don't complain when you turn "pink" for a few matches when someone helms into them. It happens now and then. It wears off. It is no big deal. There must be very few players that never turned "pink". Take the "pink" like a grizzled WOWS veteran....it won't be the last time your name will be coloured like that : when in zoomed view you won't always notice some parked his ship so close blocking your guns either.....

    Destroyer IFHE against Cruisers or DE against BB ?

    I did check fire mechanics.....but to me is unclear how 2,98 % fire chance is going to help me against Cruisers that need to die within them being able to fire off 2 main gun salvo's on me or so. 2.98 % does not seem very impressive. What also does not seem very impressive is halving the fire chance when it's a rediculous 2,98 % to begin with !!!! Like that the punishment of taking IFHE in fire chance does not seem to be very significant. Not being able to take other skills might be much more influential. I do not attack full HP cruisers with guns unless they are distracted and i am in their flank, and then it would probably be AP......but i do engage Cruisers late match or in other situations when they are low HP and want to kill them FAST.
  20. Yes you can see it that way..... But you cannot shoot down an AP salvo of shells coming toward you, deminishing it's potential damage that is a multitude of that of a flight of planes. But you evade it the same way : WASDkeys.... And you can deminish the potential damage of aircraft in 4 ways : 1) FLAK explosions - dodgeable only for skilled players so perfectly servicable in any random game as complaints about stupid teammates fill the forums also 2) Continuous AA damage - non-dodgeable, will kill planes of gods, demons or just human players indifferent 3) fighter plane consumables launched at the right time 4) WSAD keys making dropped/launched munitions MISS. Because of all these potential damage reducing defences aircraft hit a more dependable then AP shells......but their potential striking power is infinitly less powerful also. You can't deny this.....i am playing Thunderer in an AP shooting fashion and enemy Supercruisers do not like that.....BOOOOOOOM full HP insta-balpped in just 1 salvo in the flank.....no CV can do that. THAT is UNLIMITED POWAH !!!.....a CV has not. CV can only begin to attempt ista-blapping anything from ~ 50 % HP or lower enemy ships, but even more likely below 30 % HP. Complaints about that are the wails of the anyway doomed and damned that weren't to remain buoyant for long anyway.

It may come as a shock to you, but rockets, bombs and torpedo's that miss your ship cause 0 ( that is ZERO ) damage......although you might get ever so slight near miss damage from HE munitions .......the sikrit is WASD keys dude.... No such thing as guided weapons on CV in the game. WG seems very reluctant to model actual devine wind ( after the tyfoons that sank the invading Mongolian invasions ) doctrine flying bomb attack in game.....even with the suicidal ultra low life expectancy of planes as it is in game.
  22. "forgive me" for not being able to show you my Tier X CV's...i reset them for RB points.... These are real WR solo player values, not deep fake seal clubber/match rigging divisioning/clan synch dropping and whatnot WR values.....
  23. Still there it is.....when you have struggled with launching rockets at DD - as a newbee you won't be the equivalent of El2aZer any time soon - you will learn how to evade the worst of it. Enough to stay afloat and continue the match. Same goes for dropping bombs - this is not without skills either - or launching torpedo's at ships that catually use WASD keys.... Even if you remain completely unskilled at playing CV, you will see perfectly well how fellow players in surface ship succesfully evade your attacks. From this there is a world to learn.
  24. Here...the complete newbie guide in easy pictures to how to handle CV.... And when you think of it, you are dealing with DD torpedo's and with incoming shells ( certainly as a Cruiser ) the exact same way !! WASD keys. Why cry nerf when that muntions dropping from the sky are not shells but are called bombs or rockets ? Or the things buzzing toward you are not DD torpedo's but aircraft ( or very soon submarine ) torpedoes ?? Learn to play the game as it is !!! Tier I/II/III are there for learning without a too steep learning curve so that is why DD get introduced somewhat later and CV just come into play at tier III+....you are supposed to follow that curve through hydro, smoke, radar and increasing range and speed and not stay stuck at that Tier I/II level of only lobbing shells....
