    0.9.9.0 unlisted change - constant fps drops

    I use 2 PC wich gives awkward results : 1) older I5 3,4 Ghz 16 Gb DDR3 with radeon R9 280 3Gb DDR5 : no issues whatsoever 2) newer i3 ( 4 core ) 3.6 Ghz 16 GB DDR4 with Nvidia 1050 Ti 4Gb DDR5 : stuttering and freezing. Same connection ( 250 mbit up/50 down/ 11 ping ) wich is actually always consistently reached. No bottlenecks there. Both systems have 2 x SSD and 1 TB HDD on SATA 6 connection of the same brand/type. Games are on a different SSD then OS/virtual memory. Updated all drivers, including BIOS. So i am at al loss what the difference is.....except for obvious differences in CPU and GPU and likely their drivers and WOWS interaction with them ? The thing is the i3 system has stuttering effects in some other games too......like 2 point hospital for instance. Offline aswell. While my i5 notebook ( 1.6 Ghz 6 core ) and i5 PC run that game flawlessly. But no problems for the i3 in a wide range of other games. It has to be the programming....
  2. Cruisers are trigger happy too.....some load in 10 seconds....they wat to spam fire....they need targets...NOW. Last time i checked how long a DD took to spot the first targets : over a minute....that means these cruisers wasted 6 salvo's....or so they will feel.
  3. When Cruisers and BB cannot shoot anything in 30 seconds it's going to be raining reports and -1 karma's. They want fast spotting, but do not want be spotted fast themselves. Something does not add up there....or maybe it does, as those very same players want OP ships, but if the enemy uses that against them it should be nerfed or removed from the game.....

    US BBs - a event where you HAVE to spend money

    I am still pissed off because of the steel wall CV...not likely that i am pulling the purse for this event which will be a first. It is not that slow BB with unremarkable guns are high on my wishlist anyway. Already got the California and there is nothing great about that one....i bought it for it's secondaries in Narai but in game reality that thing ends last on the score board and even then the slow speed hinders it tremendously. Everything is dead when you finally get there too.....it was hyped a lot on NA servers but it turned out to be one of the worst purchases i ever did in game. I still have a score to settle with WG for gimping those California secondaries, but having extreme ones on the Massachussets....and that is done by not buying anything until my displeasement settles a bit.
  5. WG announced the next time you will be able to remove the "snowflakes" by just playing a game......you don't have to win it anymore. So it will be much easier getting all these bonusses as you only have to play each ship you own 1 x. Indeed it took the whole of 0.98 duration to remove 180+ "snowflakes" because i had to actually win to remove them.....and i didnt want to spend all that time in COOP. Certainly not with ships tier VIII and above. It is a funny thing that on tier X players actually lose against bots on numerous occasions and a win is not as certain as you expect it to be in COOP. But maybe that is because of desinterested YOLOing snowflake removers.......with powerful ships bots actually get quite dangerous, especially when you are left by snuffed YOLO'ers being outnumbered by bots grinning at you with the most outragious OP ships tier X has.... I noticed some minimal abuse protection is already applied as when i was called away from my computer and my ship was AFK for a whole ( COOP ) match the snowflake was not removed. It won't protect from desinterested YOLOing and a < 3 minute sinking though..

    Those will be tech tree ships Jethro....no reason at all to spend real money on them. And if you must have economic bonusses, the usual only buying perma-camo's for the ships you want to keep is a lot cheaper then 64 K doubloons. In fact buying them all 3000+4000+5000= 12k doubloons. You can even save 4k on doing the Epoch campaign. I never cared for ugly fanatasy/unrealistic camos anyway. I was overjoyed when they build in the option to show generic camo in its stead...... If you do you like posh stuff gotta pay for it....

No after T3 more complex game mechanisms get added.....CV planes, smoke, CV with plane heals, hydro, radar carrying Cruisers, far better conceament via modules, CV with far more damaging weapons, Cruisers with heals, radar carrying DD, increasing speed and range of everything and the introduction of a-typical of their class ships that you have to play different then other ships in the class. For DD that is already 4 roles from ultra silent stalker that sinks BB without ever being seen to blazing gun mini-Cruiser that can be spotted from the moon but capable of schredding cruisers with guns. At least 3 role Cruisers from high ROFopen water shell evading ballerina's to island huggers capable of firing over them to close range to cap DD killers with smoke and at least 3 role BB some being ultra long range snipers, flankers or brawlers.... It is easy to get stuck somewhere as no one teaches you to deal with these changes....i could not mention them all as almost every nation/tree line has tricks up it's sleve that make it special. They could open a professor seat at an university for learning all of it....

    They don't want to reward you......they want to get you addicted. Since your time schedule does not allow to get addicted it merely feels as irritating.

    3 matches EVERY day is still a lot of time.....if they last the full 20 minutes you are looking at an hour per day. Times 7 days = 7 hours a week.......almost a full working ( office work ) day. For casual playing you are better off in single player games or games that work offline too. Depends what you compare it to.

  11. Or any torpedo. Although DD ( while it could if concealed at the flank of the target ) or any torpedo carrying ship will probably not launch with that intention. But can still cause it. Evading right into a broadside AP salvo can be cause by any evasive action. And although OP accuses me of being stupid not seeing the bad planes turn ships intentionally ( ofcourse, that is by design of AP rockets ) he does not explain why players are stupid enough to actually not heed the danger of turning into much heavier AP damage by enemy ships as they are ofcourse full spotted as well. It is like being lit up by a spotlight and then do what all the triggerhappy onlookers focussed on you want you to do...really smart.... Chipping "citadelling" damage vs obliterating citadelling damage...an easy choice one would say..... And it's not the CV player that turns the ship into oblitteration.....it is the player in the turning ship.
  12. Now there is something i can agree on.....i noticed that myself too... the plane symbols turn around you so on which side the hell i press "O" and the only thing you can see when looking up is bombs falling...

Yes when i push with BB i either get burned down by long range Cruisers or torpedoed by invisible DD's, but most often a combination of both as the invisible DD will be spotting for the Cruisers and BB far in the back allowing them to fire that long range......CV are usually the very least of my concerns. There is actually no overview of that in summary......it would be very clarifying to actually be able to look into what is your worst enemy. My bet is CV would not get very high in that overview : in a lot of matches they arent' even there, and when they do at high tiers there is almost laways only 1 of them against 11 other ship types. And contrary to popular belief it can't teleport around the entire map and be everywhere at once. So some players will get sum...most will not and stats showing what got you would prove that. But stubborn refusal to skill into anything that strenghens AA already does.....as it simply is felt not worth it.
  14. Why should it not be compared to other classes ? The most heard argument is that CV attacks cause too much damage. "ooooh look at what his mean CV did to me......a full 20 K strike .......it must be delete from the gaaaaame boohooo" and never "Ooooooh i just blew up ( 50-100 K HP lost ).......just from a single salvo of penetrating Cruiser/BB shells/DD torpedoes"

    This is very much true. And quite troubling if i am honest how far it has taken me. I swore after WT to not fall for it again....and that didnt even have a steel wall stopping me dead when i left it.

    The turrets armour/model and guns are the same as Tier VIII and IX French BB........and those do certainly get busted more then other BB's turrets for some reason. There were posts complaining about that in reality these turrets had a heavy armoured bulkhead between each pair of guns making it unlikely a hit disableing a pair of guns would disable the other pair too......WG did not model that....at least not at the time of that posting which was quite a while back i believe.
  18. Campers always are. BB sitting still or are cawling in reverse deserve being turned into sinking screaming metal. You need speed to evade air attacks.....WASD does nothing without speed. But then a lot of the designed island huggers not coincidentally have considerable AA......not stopping a 1st strike, but not the 1st choice to attack either as islands block direct approach angles from safe airspace you can make on it, and enemy AA usually surrounds them making the other approach angles costly in plane losses. It is almost like WG designed it to be that way....w8...maybe they did......
  19. So you complain turning into AP shells trying to avoid AP rockets ? Is that it ? Have you ever taken note you only have to turn ever so slight and not a full 90 deegrees to avoid AP rocket citadels ?? That require almost a straight 90 degree apprach to your flank to penetrate citadels ? AP rockets are not main gun AP shells of ships that will have a chance go in at every angle greater then 30 degrees....... By turning your broadside into enemy ship AP shells you are trading a very large evil for a very small one.....and AP bombs...no one should camp idle or move slowly in reverse if they don't want to be hit wiht high probablilty.....but campers do.....

Do please get the damage statistics of all popular Tier X ships and compare them. w8.... a quick example...i already can see all MvR is OP whines are useless when looking at Slava damage.....and im pretty sure that is not the only ship doing more damage then MvR...... So the howls and whines of conceived MvR OP'ness : emotional only. Just like me whining about that steel wall behind me and that one CV i cannot get......it just irritates.

Well most DD players i see insist on blowing up after being radared and/or rocketed in caps.....as if they are the only class that can cap and the match depends on being there first per definition, no matter if their spotting contribution or enemy DD allied line penetration ( after which concealed cruisers are continuously spotted and BB are torpedoed out of nowhere ) safeguarding is lost..... The ones that have brains and live long enough to torpedo BB from out of nowhere......sure.....how long does it take to cover 8-10 km for a 16 x 15200 dmg = 243K potential damage torpedo salvo ? You could theoretically sink 2 BB and a Cruiser with that in just one lauch...... Such a single strike is worth 12 AP citadel strikes OP dislikes so much.......so you can take your time getting them as DD.....math..... And the braniacs that claim every rocket or bombs causes a citadel, never miss and such damage are not expressed in potential damage like all other ships.....
  22. And i don't know any CV that can hit you every 10 seconds with 9 x 5800 = 53K potential damage like some Cruisers can.....not every 20 seconds for 12 x8900 = 107k potential damage either. You are very selective what you get upset about......CV aren't any more damaging then other ships, at least not their own damage. And of course not every bomb or rockets actually hits, or even gives damage reward, or even hits a citadel......just a few degrees off and AP rockets won't citadel at all. Not to speak of AP bombs that easily miss narrow Cruiser hulls or strips of thinner deck armour between thick unpenetrable strips of deck armour as many BB have. Balance is not emotionial : it is cold statistics that should keep within min/max boundaries. Players getting upset by CV citadels without noting the damage they take isn't actually more then being hit by other ships are emotional..... It is just the fact you hate you can't shoot back at their ships unless you get close enough and someone spots them. And even more likely the ability to execute low HP ships anywhere in the map that are trying to limp away into concealment ....which is impossible with CV in the match. But that is not a matter of extreme alpha damage CV do not (yet) have.....you can do that with low chipping damage CV do have, as low HP enemies take very little damage to blow up.

    Change in ship recovery rules.

    I recovered them all about a week ago.....and was very happy i did not have to "beg" human employees for it but could handle it myself via an automated system. Although i had to process them one by one which took many days before i got them all back. And there was a penalty fee already so i don't get how you can exploit that either ? The function is costing way more credits then you got for selling them. And WOWS is notorious for "sales" with no price reduction from normal at all. So buying low and selling high....don't see how you can do that. In each case i am never going to sell them again......50+ spare slots while i'm in the Tier IX range with tech tree ships so i see no need to free up slots anymore at all.
  24. And how much damage do these MvR "citadels" do ? Not BB or (super) Cruiser AP shell grade citadels that is for certain......or you would have killed every enemy ship almost 2 x over.

    Ah never mind...i'm just going through a reality check i spend too much time - and money - in this game while the rewards are not even for me.....it is very sobering. Maybe i should be thankful instead of angry and dissapointed. There are many games i wanted to play but i am too addicted grinding this for rewards.....but if they are unobtainable....well.....then it becomes painfully obvious my time and money is not worth it.
