I sadly don't see this a lot anymore since i skilled out of BFT/AFT on CV's and thus now lack the range on most CV .....but it never gets old. -

I never tested if the modules, skills and consumables actually increased AA damage at all. Now i know that they do. Continuous AA is non dodgeable so that was never in question be it god, demon bot or human AA is shooting at. Now it is only about : - if you can dodge larger FLAK explosions as these seem to vary in size of the weapon firing. Dodging a small puff will be easier then evading a powerful explosion affecting a large area around it. - if you can dodge X amount of explosions. Some make it seem they can dodge infinte amount of explosions, but that must be a 'blatant lie" begging to be debunked. -

It is a good trainer in Operations. No stats can be damaged there. Operations allow you to practise a broad range of attacks that can be carried over to PvP when mastered. From using AP with DD guns to aiming torpedo's on oblivious targets while staying out of their visual range to speeding toward oblivious targets pointing their main guns in other directions, shoving torpedo's in them almost stonethrowing distance before they can rotate/reload their cumbersome main guns and explode.... -

So it is gulag time for those boycotter clans......their nightmare materialized as something that can be seen as nothing other then a punishment. Or the finger at the very least. Well....i can't exactly find sympathy for them. It will be amusing to see the duality between clans that betray themselves fielding it anyway after all they whined and moaned about. As they cannot resist using the most OP ship of the day ofcourse. They will be the laughing stock of all that see it. And if they field the BB killer FDR the devs will smile upon them too......"Ah, we see in the statistics CV are accepted in CB now....players choose them over an extra BB." -

It does not have fighters though........so i guess the enemy CV when not using the same CV is supposed to use his fighter consumables actively on his allies and against that FDR that cannot drop it's own fighters and lure the enemy ones into them. They will persue and kill FDR planes when aggroed. The playerbase asked for fighters playing a more important air supriority role......they got it now WG style...... Yet El2aZeR seems to have noticed lower response times of fighter consumables aggroing on enemies in their patrol zone......if true there is nothing "incidental" about all these AA and CV ninja changes : they are supposed to keep that new CV operating within limits. But that messes with all older ships mechanisms. It is hard to believe WG themselves could not foresee that fiddling with global settings. -

Well it is certainly not the answer to everything as you say.......but it proves these skills are not fake placeholders but act as advertised against most players....or bots obviously. Which ever you rate higher. -

RESULTS......And yes there are things to consider : First 2 pics : both AA modules, DFAA and AFT ( i dont have captains with AFT and BFT currently ) The bot CV can't even come close with any type plane and is outright destroyed. Take into account DFAA was ofcourse on CD most of the time thus not the sole cause of the CV unable to drop weapons. No damage taken whole test. All as one would expect right ? But here comes the thing you dont expect : Without these AA modules, AFT skill and DFAA consumable that "skillless" bot suddenly CAN bomb and rocket me because killing the planes takes too damn long !! He does manage to lay torpedoes 1 - 2 x in the water too. Which did not hit. The bot Hauryu does not spawn more then ~66 planes and was deplaned in both cases so difference in that or AA damage cannot be established. But is is obvious the more damage AA does, the less affected you will be. Any one thinking i rigged this test for my agenda can simpy repeat it himself in training room.......i did not have BFT at this test and did not test or ever used "massive AA skill" so i don't know if that would affect things further. Changing the modules did cost me a couple of million credits though.... -

Why haven't i thought of this before ? If someone can make video's trying to make his point attacking bots....then i can test AA differences on bots as wel.... I have already tested Smolensk without any AA upgrade against a bot Hakuryu ( with AI setting set to "high" if that does anything at all ) that was deplaned in minutes but ofcourse kept sending squads of 2-3 planes up till time ran out. Lets see if taking actual AA skill does speed kills up noticably. -

It matters a lot when they are bots though. I assume bots do not deploy DFAA and don't have a 6th slot module spawning 2 more flak clouds spawning when they would actvate DFAA. I have seen some Smolenks increasingly get more powerful AA making EU DD looks like boyscouts. Since they can have DFAA and the 6th slot i do not wonder what the squadron smashing Smolensks have picked...... When producing a cherry picked video, cutting it through a video processing software and whatnot.....you are not credible untill you can prove those ships you are attacking are 1) humans and 2) actively and passively did all thye could to kill your planes. Attacking a Smolenks with hydro equipped and long range batteries is not the same thing as doing that with an AA built Smolenks..... I fear the current killing of all returning to CV planes is no accident either.......the "solotion" seems to be not very fast forthcoming is it..... -

I am at a crossroads at that too......being shot from the front....will they really set that 4th fire on your stern that can't hit from that angle ? Will 10 % more fire resistance really stop a fire when shot by an English BB with large guns ? Is it at all worth its' 4 points when not taking the point right into a wall of enemies ?? When charging into a wall of enemies, will anythign at all save you ?? -

Yes some DD have turret rotation times that cannot be explained in any way. It obviously is meant to force them to avoid caps as that would mean fighting with DD with turrets that turn 360 degrees in a few seconds. And usually have much higher ROF to boot. -

I read her old work yes.....but she is biased also, being a known CV hater and a furiuos Smolenks hater. Still her findings are backed with sound reasoning and good explanations. That do not lean on WR's for credibility. But her article passed on FLAK alltogether, and only examined continuous AA. -

But this means that : - DFAA - pressing "O" to 1 side - BFT - AFT - Auxiliary Armaments modifcation 2 - Massive AA fire - AA modification 1 Are ALL fake options that do nothing usefull whatsoever ?? Not in combinations either ? That is quite incredible if true. Is there any well written/explained quality article on someone testing that besides our non-credible match rigger/video cutting videos with 0 value or CV hating infamous drama lama CC's ? -

See...that is acceptable reasoning. And it is still a WG fail you have to reason at all to get an overview to what is happening. But then there is mentioning of size of explosions too.......can slippery CV players "evade" large explosions too ? -

I do wonder why WG lets the AA mechanics be in this state then......server load as they say themselves ? Or the fact it works somewhat adequate against casual CV players ? Why would they be forcing CV into modes where everyone supposedly knows how FLAK fails as they are high attitude clans ? -
Ever notice there aren't that many flanks to exploit in randoms up untill half match at the very least ? Because you face a homogenous wall of enemies over the entire width of the map......that focus the 1st guy to pop into view. Speed actually kills before those enemies are dispersed or thinned out. I know flanking.....it was my favorite tactic in 3vs3 or 7vs7 ranked sprints. But there is no wall of enemies executing you trying to get around them...... Maybe it is one of the ships that does not function well in randoms specifily ?

I haven't really found a good result tactic for it either. I would wish WG explained with the info of the ship before purchase what specific tactics it is designed for ( what tactics it is tailored to in the minds of the WG guys fiddleing with it's settings ) on top of the advised build. Obviously with a range of 25 km it is not hard to see what they could have meant......but it fails to play that way.....so that must not be it.

I am trying to understand it myself......and if anything WG fails to explain it. I could/do take the advise of guys not having an agenda.....but deep fake stat players that i saw match rigging myself are not among them. It is much too obvious if such players already do know the system like they claim, they do not want others to know.....or their stats come down ! So everything one says is suddely a "blatant lie" as standard garbage reply. Such players have 0 credibility for me. It is not their fault WG created a rediculous mechanic ( if this projecting a wall in front of you no matter where AA comes from is true ) and fails to explain how it works exactly though. WOWS wiki simply links toward old versions of how AA worked before changes if you want to know more then their version how it should work... And it is not my own CV performance suffers from "now knowing" as i do enjoy a ~60 % WR in them. I want to know what to do with OTHER SHIPS against it as there is a score of AA options they can use but their direct effects is very difficult to measure or notice. As does everyone else want to know.....and "AA is useless" is NOT an acceptable answer. I did notice i am being shred to pieces when attacking DD that are not alone......and have cruisers firing on me outside the cap from different angles. The same for overflying spaced out BB in the beginning of a match. So it's obvious something is going on there that is different from attacking 1 ship that blows AA directly in your face. -

So El2aZeR is claiming there is no directions FLAK is coming from but just spawning of explosions in front of the planes......Then it would be a matter of density being spawned. Smolensk can throw up 8 explosions, and 10 with DFAA+6th slot module. How many FLAK explosions would be enough make evading FLAK explosions impossible ? Can 1 Smolenks + a Grozovoi ( DFAA+6th slot ) = 16 explosions do that ? 2 Smolensks + 1 Grozoi = 26 explosions ? -
The daily bounce guy claims the guns have ""excellent" battlecruiser dispersion......but he also claims it is to be used at > 14 km. Now why would you use a ship that can shoot 25 km at merely some distance over 14 km, when it has "excellent" dispersion ? I think i know why.....i could either not hit reliably at 25 km or bounced, shattered and such when i did hit.........or was the guy suggesting it is actaully to be used like some kind of fire breather Cruiser, flinging HE at long range ? It does have decent fire chance shells and HE penetration.

Not only the density although that would add much to the effect ofc........but mostly the direction it's coming from. When planes are shot from multiple angles that are not in their heading they cannot dodge it. So spaced out ships that are still covering the other ships with their FLAK zone/ outer AA ring around them are a terrible threat to CV players. That is why even blobs may not work as expected.....when packed tightly together all FLAK still comes from 1 direction and can be evaded ( situation is perfectily displayed in El2aZeR vid btw.....FLAK still coming from 1 direction : in front of him, which is not what i meant with spacing out giving other ship cover from other directions, thus shooting the planes in their sides and back which can not be evaded ) For FLAK to work you need to catch planes attacking another ship shooting them from the side or back. This is often achieved automatcily when being ~5 km away from a ship that is attacked, such as rocketeers griefing a DD while you are within FLAK range with a Cruiser..... So DD maybe need to learn to stay near the outer AA range of allies ships if they want to live.....capping is important, but exploding in a cap is retarded.
