Manfred von Richtofen: how long before the nerf??
Beastofwar replied to Alfa_Tau's topic in General Discussion
Have to agree with El2aZeR for a change....unless the maker of the vid wanted to prove how much FLAK and continuous AA FDR planes can eat ( or obviously not ) it was pretty toecurling bad to watch.....damn the whole screen was black from FLAK explosions at times.....you would almost lose orientation from all those black clouds - coming from half an enemy fleet - obscuring your vision ......that is not how sniping is done....sniping is attempted sneaky and/or fast...this was some kind of clumpsy frontal Ogre attack.... And there is such a thing as actively defending your CV with fighter consumables a little out of where CAP fighters and AA engage when an enemy tries to snipe it your CV ? As i am informed FDR bombers do have fighter consumables.....Taking control of the ship moving at flank speed and using WASD ? Pressing "O" to the side of the attackers ? That works in CV too, most CV have the most powerful/efficient AA ships can have.......One better defeats the enemy bombers before heading to the enemy CV.....when you want to remain buoyant that is.... But sure.....luring a CV with very fast planes that can cross the entire map taking safe detours in no time into a CV sniping contest, and/or going along with it in a CV with very slow planes overflying the enemy fleet is also not the smartest move....even not when it was arranged to prove something. That said, something was proven. But it was kinda obvious beforehand. -
Being able to dodge - or so they claim - all FLAK did not come across as very fair to the ones being attacked. It seems now WG has come up with a way of still being able to deliver a 1st strike but dodging FLAK won't save your planes as they are simply shot down after the strike. Non dodgeable that. There was mention of a bug overly being effective at this, but it is still way more powerful then it ever was now. If "fixed" at all. So Neo-like dodge skill CV players will lose more planes now, just like everyone else does. If not by approach, then by returning to carrier....or attempting to do so. Shortening attack wings won't affect these losses as they target specificly the ones returning to CV. Attacking = losing planes that attack. But will draw out losses over a longer perion so respawns get added giving fuller squadrons again. While finally having come up with a way to deal with overly effective CV players, i do wonder if this does not undermine the whole CV rework design. As that is based on low damage per attack, but being able to stack it by attacking multiple times per squadron....as being forced to shorten squadrons eliminates the stacking damage by attackign multiple times design. Could that be the reason why torpedo's now automaticly seem to adapt a pattern that will most probably hit the target ? As far as i have seen this hugely buffs my torpedo damage. So more damage out of less strikes....back to RTS mechanics ? I have seen rather agressive responses like "what are you taiking about ?? This was fixed days ago" but then please explain how CV could get damage buffed.......bug also ? It really looks like compensation for something ( a nerf ) to me,.......less planes now do more damage becasue they have become more accurate....Accident ? Bug ? Or maybe even something only average CV players will notice.....as their "lack of skill" has now become less apparent with greater passive accuracy of delivering weapons ?

Well there were a lot of not intentional changes......but that much data seems a little much to merely adress that. It must be other stuff also. If i were to really wear a tin foil hat i would say it must be expensive ( for real rubles ofc ) Tier IX-X premium ships with heavy AA that make Hallands look like amateurs to defend against the terrible game breaking FDR.....( wich is only a free in game currency bait to spring the real currency trap ofc ) Lets us see what would be most appropriate.....oh yes !! A 1963 post war RUSSIAN cruiser ofcourse ! Armed with this.....( AK 630 , 30 mm ) Let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the flooooooor.....

Yes i noticed....

Recent CV nerfs maybe fairer then they seem ?
Beastofwar replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Dude.....what F spam ??? Do planes automaticly use that when they dropped their load ??? No they do not.....entirely different mechanic you pulled by the hairs to get your justification of the WG postings are correct compared to what CV are experiencing RIGHT NOW Note : the screendump is made from a camera still hovering overt he last drop position......OBVIOUSLY "F" was not used or i would be instantly in my CV !!! -
Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Beastofwar replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
That was obvious in that all "unicums" lose aircraft too......if they were untouchable because "AA is useless" they would be able to show* minor to zero plane losses over a match...which they ofcourse cannot. But that does not fit the agenda of some of these CV hating CV "unicums".....if such a twisted thing is logical in the first place... * losses are viewable which is handy as some type of CV hating CV "unicums" will all to readily accuse enemy plane kills to all have been fighter consumables or spotter plane consumables.....wich is ofcourse a blatant lie .. These plane losses are mine btw...no painfully exposing of others here. -

Yes all unintended....and somehow still functioning.... A reticule that help you not to drop your torpedo's on land with showing a dot ( thereby being able to strike ships close to shore with certainty instead of player skill estimation ) and fully automatic adapting torpedo patterns to the targets angle and strikable surface. Riiiighhhty....give me more nerfs like that ! Ofcourse this is compensation for bleeding more planes. Or the justification for buffing CV is your wisdom ?? -

I cannot judge features being dropped in live server on accident....as i do not know which are intended and which are not. It is obvious some features are here to stay. The even seem to work ok with some getting used to. But this begs for a quote of someone very familiar : "This is a blatant lie" Not only because i say so....read the first reaction in the topic carefully and think about that.... -
Manfred von Richtofen: how long before the nerf??
Beastofwar replied to Alfa_Tau's topic in General Discussion
Oh bummer...ddint get that. So that is just DD protection then....fighters dont have their own spotter planes and such... -
Manfred von Richtofen: how long before the nerf??
Beastofwar replied to Alfa_Tau's topic in General Discussion
You need extraordinary fast planes to fly all the way to where the enemy CV is without negatively impacting the match ( not being able to do anything else all match long ) anyway.....so slow planes have no chance in hell to do the same before their CV sinks or their team loses if it's allies are in need of help.... And you have consumable defence fighters to help kill FDR planes.....both CV automatic CAP fighter consumables and your own attack plane consumables. FDR has no fighters so they cannot lure your consumable fighters into theirs and such actions. So you can thin out their numbers very rapidly with consumable fighters if you actively defend your CV between sorties sinking the enemy one. -
Nope that is revoked too now.

Beastofwar replied to Alfa_Tau's topic in General Discussion
I could do nothing about a T9 BB chasing me around the map in a T8 Parseval......the weapons are too weak to sink BB fast enough.....since they are practically all anti Cruiser. AP rockets = anti cruiser. Razor fast weak torpedos : anti Cruiser, maybe anti DD. AP bombs = anti cruiser, they bounced, shattered and merely penetrated plating but nothing more on that BB. So if the T 10 MvR is a continuation of that......wtf is all the fuss about then ??? OP how compared to a Hakuryu or a Midway ??? It probably has Cruisers* on the menu....so what ?? * Ah i begin to see.....it kills OP stalinium camper Cruisers !!! What misery.... -
Then all these rentals should be removed ? Or can you mess up with DD and that is all well ? Since DD explode in caps <3 min anyway ? Wich one would not expect since CB are supposed to be the mode of skilled players....
-
Really...why can someone that "never played a DD" use a rental DD ??? Of all classes a well played DD is the most important role in a match......yet you are offered one no matter if you should totally not know how to play one......but CV ? Nooooo...remove them. That is extreme bias. But since WG was actually listening and actually removed it.....that is even more awkward.
-
Not understanding why a CV among an offered DD and Cruiser must be removed ? Damn RB reset is the worst frustrating bullcrap ever. Did it myself though.
-
And why exactly was that nescessary ???????? What use is a rental fekking Zao or Grozovoi then ???

Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Beastofwar replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A FIX TO YOU ????? That are my torpedo bombers returning to carrier after they dropped their payload...except none ever will .... NO FIX ! -
Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Beastofwar replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Well it is NOT fixed.... -
?!? I RB'ed mine and was stuck at rank 10 with coal cruisers and a BB.....hooray ?

What is wrong with WOWs and how to do it better
Beastofwar replied to zengaze's topic in General Discussion
I play as it is intended : farming credits and XP to progress through the tech tree. Credits are performance based, so you get rewarded for good performance and punished for bad performance. Easy as that. XP is dependend on win or lose, but losing you can still make the best of it when you put extra effort in it. I never will understand the players that quit doing anything but typing accusations why the match was lost....losing XP there.... WR ? I guess that is only important for pretentious clans that want the best of the best and only important for you if you want to join such clans. In itself WR does give a good measure of performance, but it is flawed in that it can be manipulated* *Starting new accounts without your historic learning curve, playing only the choisest OP ships, sealclubbing in lower tiers, synchdropping with clanmates upsetting balance for a sure win claiming this WR is solo, divisioning upsetting balance in pre planned ways and more... I saw more practical clans having no WR demands but just asking to play with them so they can evalutate how you play. These are the smart clans that avoid artificial bloated WR and with that players that are not as good as their WR indicates.. And avoid historic learning curve WR fogging and playing ALL ships alltogether, so they can get the players that became experienced but just took a while. WR after a few thousand of matches in not so easy to raise while performance can have become MUCH higher then WR reflects. Kudos to these much smarter clans, they will end up with the players they want ...probably less toxic also, as they are not on the verge of being unmasked as frauds all the time, not having players that freak out over meta changes, or panicked over losses that might infuence their WR and don't have to be that uptight... -
More rediculous ninja nerfs it seems.....when trying to turn to attack DD i am contronted with enormous turn radiusses these planes did not have before. Also the planes are very inresponsive when trying to aim them. Not only them, all T6 rocket fighters. And it is not only that, many DD have become near invisible with AA shut off too. The latter is a nerf i can agree with though. So what is wrong with that ? Wikipedia : With its low-wing cantilever monoplane layout, retractable, wide-set conventional landing gear and enclosed cockpit, the Zero was one of the most modern carrier-based aircraft in the world at the time of its introduction. It had a fairly high-lift, low-speed wing with very low wing loading. This, combined with its light weight, resulted in a very low stalling speed of well below 60 kn (110 km/h; 69 mph). This was the main reason for its phenomenal maneuverability, allowing it to out-turn any Allied fighter of the time. Early models were fitted with servo tabs on the ailerons after pilots complained that control forces became too heavy at speeds above 300 kilometres per hour (190 mph). They were discontinued on later models after it was found that the lightened control forces were causing pilots to overstress the wings during vigorous maneuvers.[12] I know this is an aracde game but the recent nerfs are done with a rediculous heavy hand. I can accept heavier and faster higher tier planer getting less nimble. But extreme heavy handed planes that were still small and relative light ? It is over done. They cover almost half the map turning a full circle .....

I did not progress beyond rank 9 so i may not have seen it all......but i have the strong impression CV did not make a significant impact in ranked this time. I could not use them myself, i barely saw them used by others and when they were there completely failed to have an impact other then losing a lot of planes. Is there something about this ranked that disfavors them ? Maps too small ?

Is FLAK as useless as claimed....when it is hitting planes attacking other ships ?
Beastofwar replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
Good points. Especially the differnt caliber AA creating different explosion timing. Most ships have a mix of calibers..... -
I only meant the low tier rocket fighters, as i mentioned the Mitsubishi Zero's especially.....as these planes had no armour or self sealing tanks......ultra light and should be ultra nimble......i have no idea how the highter tier ones are now since i RB'ed them.... I suspect WG nerfed the low tier rocket planes to discourage sealclubbing after thousands of complaints. I am not sealclubbing but working my way back up after the RB reset.... Btw my planes nervously wiggle their wings ( multiple times per second....) when flying.....this seems very bugged to me.

But i learnred that from "the best" these forums have.....sometimes i do pick up stuff you know. Even from those i dislike.
