Why are the British CV's excluded from Naval Battles

I could swear they do, despite they obviously lack the premium camo. The T6 Uk CV makes much, much more credits and XP then my US and IJN ones. In Operations you can see that very clear as conditions are similair and not as 'random" and in random matches. Ofc i have some idea of why that is.... -

I wonder about these CV are represented as some sort of premium now, but without a premium camo. I guess when the tech tree is relaesed they are back to normal tech tree ships ? Just like the UK DD were ? I haven't read that clearly in the update news concerning that but may have missed it. Why on earth would you purchase many air supply chests - actually buying those ships - if they are not real - or remain - premiums ? Just for instant acces/no grind to get to them ? -
I read about the battle on the river Plate, where the British split up so Graf Spee would not be able to alternate main battery fire between the British Cruisers easily. Graf Spee aimed main guns mainly on Exeter, but secondary guns on Ajax and Achilles. It seems there was little difference in effect between main and secondary guns damaging all British ships, so splitting up didn't work as well as hoped. In this game those 3 cruisers would sink a Graf Spee in under a minute. IRL that Graf Spee was much more fearsome and all but taken out those 3 Cruisers. Probably destroyed all of them if the Captain would have had less respect for life of other human beings, including his own crew. Main difference game and RL : gimped secondary batteries. Given manual control ( and more realistic range for gun size/power ) Battleships and Battlecruisers would change into powerhouses they really were. Can't have that in this game can you ? There would be no cruiser of dd player left.....

In this operations all conditons were accomplished.....5 star....or should have been. But it did not happen because the team were not going to the exit point ! Just kept blasting at the bot ships. I guess nothing can be done about it. Seen it before but not so extreme as actually meeting all objectives, and then fail to just finish the Operation and collect the reward(s). But i do wonder why players go to an Operation and just shoot at anything without caring for getting that 5 star (reward). If they thought they would be well rewarded for killing many ships......losing you don't in Operations. What is the matter with these players ? Do they even learn from the very discouraging low credits and XP losing ? Why then are there always others that behave the same way ?

Could it be Nvidia drivers then ? That's the other difference between my systems.

No because they were so good the Shcors was still alive and just behind the 1st merchant until few sec before the merchants reached the exit. Then it got a full salvo and sunk without anyone being able to pick the commander up in remaining few seconds .....4 stars :-) Never seen that before too, although later today Shcors and even bot in Baltimore survived 2 x. Bot in Mahan always dies...just as suicidal as that Parks in Dynamo. I guess you are really good if all those friendly bots live.

Well you know how to aim torps, that is often beyond my skills in randoms unless oppertunity presents itself. :-)) I'm getting more proficient with DD too thanks to the Exeter missions forcing their use upon me. Still i use those poppy little guns more then you it seems, ( 2 hits lol ) they burn down ships at rediculous rates :-)) I haven't dared changing smoke for torpedo load accleration in the Shiratsuyu and do way better in the Akatsuki. My guess Shiratsuyu is more for the pro's.... -
Automatic DCP for all classes

In CV's that option only works relatively well because they are not dealing with continuous incoming damage, or should deal with that. Other classes simply need mechanics that are tailored to their intended use. If the charges are not unlimited - they are not now for BB/CA/CL/DD - you would quickly return here to complain your (dumb) automation depleted it when you needed it most..... -
I doubt if it is server related, i have 2 PC's and one lags after the latest patch, the other does not but is not very powerful by modern standards. My stoneage E8500 3.16 Ghz Duocore , 8 Gb mem with Nvidia 750ti 2Gb mem lags a lot. Freezes the screen as if connection is broken for a second or stutters. This is since the latests patch, before it could still run games like WOWS, WT and a lot of other ~ 3 year old or older games well enough. WOT however was(too) heavy on this system already. My somewhat more modern i5 3570K 3.4 Hhz 8 Gb mem with Radeon R9 380 4 Gb mem works just fine. Both are on the same 200 mb/sec connection with ~ 10 latency. ( ~35 in game ) Both are running 64 bit OS, have more modern stuff like SSD and so on. I think it is in the programming....weren't they discontinuing support for 32 bit systems ? Maybe it's an issue with older drivers that are 32/64 bit or something in that direction ?

This is true, but still it is a (mass) player fault not to manuever. To change penetration values just to make bad players move....seems not desirable. Maybe submarines will be able to make them move, if they can dive deep enough to avoid detection untill they are inside a camping zone. A few slaughterfests ( and a whole lot of whining they should be removed or nerfed ) later and the camping is something of the past. -
Today i played several times the weekly Operation and now the team was so powerfull and killed so fast everything that i wanted to hit exploded before my shells, bombs, rockets or torpedo's got there..... So you can end up with low score if you fail the ops because your team sucked so bad they are all dead after 3 mins after which the bots overwhelm you or time runs out without objectives met. Or you can have a similar low score because everything explodes before you can do damage to them..... I would rather have a situation in between of that.....but it struck me as funny you can become frustrated by a TOO GOOD team also :-)))

If an enemy team camps, you could just communicate with your teammates and charge them together. Charging or closing in fast is a military manouevre and always an option in certian circumstances. Some type battlecruisers and battleships had to do that as plunging fire was far more dangerous to them then flatter trajectory fire. If it is one on one i often charge too, having battleship torpedo's or strong secondaries encourages that. When i lose that but can reach the enemy there is still the option of ramming. That requires no game changes by WG. -
If it was a lottery there would be rules to ensure fair play.....it is just a rigged gambling game with programmed variables only WG knows. That said i got a UK BB out of 13.95 euro's worth of boxes - because i could not wait for that T6 UK CV - while that ship costs some 36 euro's in the shop. But that might just be such a programmed variable because WG detects i never buy boxes and wants to encourage me it's woth it and buy more... And indeed 5 duplicates make 1 original. I always used that and have failed completing only 1 collection, and the rewards were not worth it anyway.

Noob maybe.... too bad i didnt get a screenshot in time but someone complimented me while i was using a DD....killed 3 BB in quick succession that wanted to disrupt my capping but that wasn't my intention at all.....i just wanted to cap for the Exeter mission. When the 3rd BB blew up we won the match...and i still didn't get my cap !!

Whatever i did i kept on losing.....thats why i don't believe in stats. But i sure made some nice credits.....this way i don't mind losing :-)) One thing...i chased a Midway and lost due to unrelenting air attacks and my Atago not optimised for AA. I kept shooting that CV with HE but i think i made a mistake and should have used AP. Is that Midway heavy armoured ? Edit - i see i may have hit his armoured flight deck with pluging HE fire since he was far away. -
Clans are mostly a band of noobs. That they prove in Operations by sinking after 1-3 minutes. Why not ignore them all together ? If they refuse to shoot at each other, then you off the enemy one right ?

I take it that the thought behind buying a premium ship is buying yourself into a tier where you cannot get to climbing through the tech tree yet, or are impatient. I use them however to keep playing operations in a tier i already left with the bulk of the tech tree ships, for enjoyment. In almost every review i read Premium ships - the ones still available that is - are often actually weaker then their tech tree counterparts/sister ships. Why would one even buy a premium ship then and not slap a doubloon camo on a tech tree counterpart ? If you slap on a doubloon camo, is there then any difference that i overlooked apart from the gold vs white class/tier indication ?

Roma had become my favorite BB that does not give the impression you are totally screwed landing in a +1 or +2 match and before i had the Mushashi was my highest credit and XP ( for XP chests ) income ship. I used it every day when grinding the then soon to be removed Mushashi. The only thing i would wish for it had torpedo's for close quarters combat :-)) Some enemies ( even +2 tier ones ) are frightened by it aswell when you charge them with it. Maybe because they don't see it that often and are not sure what it is. Maybe fear it has torpedo's.... Mine has fallen into some disuse because of missions that require a certain nation ( which never seem to be AXIS forces ) exclude it, Operations at that tier are unavailable and i am busy with the CV's.

I know enough of clan warfare that aligning the ego's of individual skilled players - especially those with ""unicum stats" - and make them perform according to predetermined objectives or execute specific plans is the hardest part of clan warfare, not the game in which it is done. A bunch of prima donna's all doing their own thing is not that effective. In a devision they might roll over others in random because they have the (unfair) advantage of communication and club lower tier advesaries giving them their stats, but not over a competitive clan. It is the same sort of thing trainers of professional sports teams face. Huge ego's that prevent true skills being used effectively to execute a plan, strategy or tactics the way they were asked to do. That is why i am not in any clan now. ( and i do not like clan warfare being monetized either ) But i know all of it.....in any strategy or action game....been around as a gamer a long time.... -

Ever saw Shaka Zulu where tribe "wars" were always fought by standard rules ? Do a few impressive war dances to hopefully intimidate the enemy , ( in this situation showing off stats lol ) throw a spear in each others general direction and that's it. They were completely shocked when a warrior did something completly diffrent, not by the rules. And were defeated and warfare forever changed. You guys sound like these rigid conservatists fools. You don't get to set rules for the CV.....you either use it to it's full abilities or be defeated by those that can use it to it's full abilities. -

"Once you get past the lance point, it just like killing rabbits"" I do this with BB ( for me always enhanced ) secondary batteries too ofcourse, that is what they were for IRL. With BB it's even easier with HE loaded in the main guns as well. -
A lot of guys take this stat buisiness way to serious.....you should think the other way around.....such stat fanatic fools look up your stats, see all red numbers and think you are a noob. All the better because underestimating an enemy - or think way to highly of your own abilities - is a sure way to be defeated.

You should have your eyes on your aircraft and your ship, the position and heading of the targets, have your eyes on the minimap and the readiness situation on the flightdeck for the next launch......not read crap in chat :-))) I do not often get comments as they need to be far too busy to race me to the top score position....typing lowers DPM you know :-))) -

Ofcourse they do. With coordination and communication CV are much more useful as support ships. CV are not that powerful on their own, but used as combined weapon together with the fleet it will be a force that can only be stopped by an equal force. Clans can have their own version of Blitzkrieg in them, call pinpoint airstrikes where they are needed and punch through where they would have struggled otherwise. Catch "missing" DD before they can do much harm. Force bow tanking BB to show their broadside by making them evade aerial torpedo's so they can be citadelled by the fleet. Ofcourse clans with coordination and communication that have able CV players will trample clans without into the dust. AA cruisers won't do much if taken out first by the enemy fleet. Powerful battleships will just take torpedo after torpedo. DD will be found and executed. But they would have done so without CV too, so there is no change in "natural" balance. -
Yes German battlecruisers/pocket battleships are my favorites when it comes to dropping AP bombs, have seen citadel after citadel with every pass on them too. But that is about the only target where AP bombs do not fall through with or without damage. Overall it's just a liability. I wish you could select bombs before takeoff or before the match. I have of late interest in what happens if i actually can drop steady enough - not ripped to pieces by AA or fighter consumable - on turret roofs of BB. Seems like a good place to make the whole ship detonate when the bombs fall down there deep enough.
