  1. When you win you have bonusses to your score.....one should be to not try and win. But other then that i play for credits and XP, and a win is preferable but a profitable loss not the end of the world. Since i prefer to get the 50 % ( or more ) daily bonus winning is still important. The only thing that frustrates me is not getting this bonus for several matches as i have a number of ships that all need it to progress. So my desire to win is bonus XP and credits based, not WR shaming or peackocery.
  2. I know all of it..... When you have a low WR no one ever will listen, or drag your stats out and make clear you cannot speak...as you are regarded a noob. When you prove you can have great scores, rivalling or surpassing their own, the mere comment will be this was a lucky one occasion fluke, or you were being carried by the team. It comes down to you can never win with any argument. But should you even try to ? I enjoyed this game for a long time without ever coming to the forums. I enjoyed many games without going to their forums. But when you do there is always a toxic elitst core that does not accept newcomers with an opinion anyway. Then you can either fight your way through them, but a mod will probably ban you at some point because you ruffle too many feathers. Or don't choose to do this at all, and leave the elitist their elitism. Actually i came here to deliver a counter opinion against the nerf calling complainers that hate CV class. But my voice was - ofcourse what was to be expected - not heard at all. Now i have to play a damaged design class. It was probably for the best i never went to forums. It is in fact a lot of wasted time. Can better play the game freely, free of elitist. In game you won't see any elitists...they sink just like any other player and in chat there is no "weight" to their voice at all, nor a possebility of showing off stats if you don't want to specificly look into them.

I have always done that, and if you are not looking for the approval of certain forum members not respecting your opinion if you do not have super unicum stats, or looking to enter a high profile clan......stats are meaningless anyway. But to some fanatics it is all there is, probably the game itself does not even matter as we see it in many games......in some games that has worse consequenses then other games, for example elitists blocking you entry to grouped content, as you strictly need them to get there. Luckily we don't have that here (yet) And yes playing to prevent falling stats means you are always under pressure, never free. This tenseness is probably at the base of the rage and anger if something is introduced in the game that requires changing tactics. As these fanatics cannot bear their stats falling going through the new leraning curve of the changes. CV rework was hell on most of them, and we got to read it..... To me it is bad voodoo.....but i understand game developers want this bahaviour as remaining on top is designed to make you spend money in some ways.

    He specificly instructs release the bombs in the front of the reticlule. When he does this his aircraft are already pulling out of the dive, thus giving the bombs more foreward speed. I do not think this is the best way, as this foreward speed of the bombs can better be aimed at the lenght of the ship so multiple bombs strike the ship. But having to fly around an evading ship to get the proper straight line over the lenght of the ship is dangerous, damaging to your squadron and difficult. So in practice this could be better, unless presented with an in lenght target. The British (carpet) bombers suck hard if you do not line them up over the lenght of a ship ( may change after monday patch ) so why not try it with all divebombers, at least that is what i think. But i agree that may not be the most effective way afterall, despite multiple hits per attack run. But 3x citadel hits in a single dive attack over the full lenght of the ship wich may be the result is truely ship wrecking......one citadel is merely a nuicance.

    Yes it would make a negative difference , it would not allow the squadron to reach the furthest corners of the map to attack a choice enemy ( more dangerous to team win ) there. That is probably why WG chose 2+ mins in the first place. You should be happy this is an option, or the CV would always focus on the closest enemy : you. So nerfing the time will be worse for you instead of better.

    In reality surviving aircraft will immediatly drop weapons on the CV killer or a more score wise/help team to win worthy enemy and after the last weapon is released the player is removed from the match. This will unlikely last more then 1 min in most situations. So any nerf to it is completely unnessesary. It will rarely be used to keep the killer DD spotted. Not in the least because the killer DD will often be dead after payback and does not need spotting to get him killed. If that payback failed then those aircraft will be gone too because their weapons were dropped to accomplish it. So again completely unessesary. In the most rare of all cases, in theory a very calculated CV player could refrain from dropping weapons and keep the DD spotted for 2 mins, but i believe i saw it is even more. But why on earth he would do that while he can get the kill and full score himself ???? Does not make any sense. Why WG proabably chose 2+ min is to enable the last squadron to fly anywhere in the map to attack all possible targets to still help their team. Nerfing the time would kill that option, so it is probably out of the question for that reason alone.

    I know all that, and admit you could see probably DD coming due to various mechanisms.....if you had nothing else to do. I agree you should be moving at some point too,and full speed steaming CV can only be shot at by DD with poppy guns. ( that can still burn and kill, but it takes a while ) I reality you can be caught up in a difficult map situation where the enemy threatens to turn a struggle into a win, and have your concentration on the situation outside your aircraft, or you are busy aiming your attack runs to evading targets. So yes you can be surprised. And it is my choice if such a thing occurs to still not per definition lose the confrontation. And i like the action of engaging a DD with a CV, or for that fact a CV ship with a CV ship. And yes the only time that was going to end in a secondary battery kill it became a ram by choice of the worthy enemy that recognised he was losing, ending it in control of his ship. If your opinion is that it should never happen, and thus you need not enhance those secondaries you are welcome to that opinion. I respect it, although i have my own opinion.
  10. Could that have been you i have bombed ? ...I can recall one of these Emeralds i bombed with HE bombs had it's HP bar turn completely black, i got a citadel ribbon but not a kill ribbon.

    My skills at playing DD are admitably not great.....but aircraft are my least problem, and rarely the cause of sinking..... As player that has CV as favorite class i know how to deal with aircraft. It is the other ships that kill me.( get the kill ribbon ) Seen from the air that is not much different for actually skilled DD players, albeit it may be aircraft spotting is a much more dangerous weapon then actual aicraft weapons.

    It is very simple : i do not aknowledge stats as skill. But i do aknowledge screen shots of obvious well played matches. The first can be manipulated in many ways. The latter is just a undeniable fact, in the face. So i am just the same, still have the same to you intolerable opinions....but i did compliment you on that performance. And i meant it.

    Will you try the IJN and UK one too ? Just to establish real mastery and such :-) Now it looks like you like to-be-nefed fire bombs too much.....but i give it to you, it is impressive for a DD guy I'm sure you would eventually produce impressive numbers in IJN and UK ones too btw...
  16. Use them on all ships as it strenghtens both AA and secondary batteries. Quite some amount of forum members seem to think secondary batteries are not worth putting points into, especially not if they have a short stock range. Ofcourse i can understand that line of reasoning. But secondary batteries were THE real life counter measure to torpedo boats and destroyers. In historic battles and clashes torpedo boats and destroyers could only advance if these secondary guns were knocked out sufficiently by larger ships. I respect everones opinion, but mine is i want my secondary batteries as effective as they can be. It would be a costly choice were it not it synergizes with bolstered AA. With both of these buffed defences are as strong as they can be. I want/need that more the some more hitpoints or one more heal/consumable. Btw : I lose much less aircraft lately.......i can only assume this is because these talents are being abandoned. I am happy with that as lost aircraft cost a lot of credits.

What would the reaction be if WG, tired of all the complaining, would actually reverse rework and those compainers would be sandwiched between 2 torpedo squadrons launching 5+ torpedo's each side of the ship again ? Or face 3-4 squadrons that release all weapons all simultaniously on 1 ship ? That was where we came from......the fact that CV were very rare for a very long time does not mean they were much more terrible to face when they focussed on YOU. On RL : near misses tore plating of the ship, ripped complete bows off and have sometimes sunk/often heaviliy damaged warships and often killed a lot of crew. In game near misses do nothing. Complainers should think of that.

    You know that is not true. A captain point concealed DD with the right ship for it can be incredibily stealthy at T6. All it needs is some luck in gaps in the line, and you know CV are not all seeying. I don't have AWACS on my CV. I have that....all important aircraft skills ofc, except for the 4 point aiming speed one. But the more aiming time ship module is useless ( even squadron killing ) more FLAK clouds is useless ( those things have up to 60 AA guns + fighter patrol already ! ) so a secondary gun module can be installed aswell. PvP yes. As i said it is far more formidable in Operations or Coop. But it will add, i assure you. Would you like a screenshot of every one of them ?

    nah not the first, certainly not the last because i like this build. In Operations ( T6 ) it is even better, kills cruisers and even a T9 BB ( Izumo ) too ( by continuous fires ). But you guys are not interested in Operations performance usually. Sure it will be "useless" in PvP most of the time as not many DD are able to sneak up to right next to you in a CV, but when a DD comes into range an it automaticly kicks in, it gives a very acceptable chance of killing the sneaky ninja attacker. After that you can go on scoring.....another CV build would have probably sunk. Si in my opinion this is not "useless" or "throwing points away" When you consider it : what good will 1 repar more, or a few thousand HP ( when you already have 50+k ) do if you cannot stop another torpedo salvo ? I took the important aircraft points.....but the rest...beter spend where they can make a difference.

    No it was (almost) full health when it popped out of stealth near me. And ofcourse i used aircraft as emergency defence too, but as you can see the secondaries outperformed the aircraft, the combined damage making the difference between me sinking or the DD sinking. This is just the thing i needed when WG nerfed CV so much that close/emergency defence with aircraft - other then US CV, but if HE DB is nerfed they too - became impossible. But that does not mean the DD wins obviously. And this is only T6 mere 4 x 127 mm epr side of the ship....T8 has 12 x 127 mm per side of the ship......

    CV 127 mm's secondary guns ....warranted to never fail. It popped up near me, i evaded it's torpedo's, my CV outgunned it and it got killed. Just as i intended with this build.
  22. Maybe all divebombers should have AP bombs ? Then they will be instant useless to DD but not to other ships, as a nerf to HE dive bombers would hurt damage against all ships and that is not right. In return i would wish for slightly more powerful rockets again, the weapon that should be used at DD. There would be a reduction in quick CV kills against DD but i noticed that promotes close cooperation with allied DD, as you need them ( their spotting and damage ) to get rid of enemy DD. I did a few games with very close air support for one DD and that worked very well as far as winning the macth is concerned. It did lower my score drastically though.
  23. Ever so often a survey pops up in my game asking questions that are to me never important. Most about ranked matches ( do play them but they are not very important to me ) or simply if i am satisfied with the game. Why is there never in depth questions about real important matters ? Such about how the CV rework is experienced by all surveyed actual players. That could give very different results then forum complaining,due to various reasons why forum members complain. Could be as rediculous as they dislike something that lowers their "stats" or in other words is doing exactly what is it supposed to do : be effective against other ships. All those successive nerfings of CV do not sit well with me, yet i am satisfied with the game itself. But i didn't buy air supply boxes to get a T8 UK CV because of the nerfs of which i am very dissatisfied. So just presenting me with a simple "are you stisfied with the game" will not bring that to light. Ask more, ask important things about the game, not promotial stuff about some new game mode. I could not care less for grouped competition stuff. maybe WG would like to know that too if i am not alone on this. I am sure WG will not really read what people say here in the forums of all languages, the communications guys merely monitoring mass discontent or activism such as mass stop p(l)aying. So please ask better, more relvant questions. To all active players, not only forum uproar. Or am i an idiot not recognising this is marketeers stuff not really interested in improving their game but shove new modes into out throats that are supposed to make us spend more doubloons/money ?

  25. With me it is always after a very rewarding win, lol One time after the strike fighter nerfs i answered " not satisfied" but they do not ask for explanations...so never could know why i might have given that answer. I guess they are not really interested exept to push new competitive stuff.
