    What carrier should I get

    Besides the Graf Zeppelin has annoying fragile aircraft that act like a magnesium powder flash when in contact with AA, they are so fast you will have to adapt the range you start torpedo runs by 2 km further away at least. They turn as wide like their own CV ship does - decelerating in the turn does not seem to help much - getting shredded by enemy AA as they overfly the whole of the enemy fleet while turning. They seem to require Boom&Zoom tactics where you do not come around for another attack but accelerate out with incredible speeds. Other then that they seem to fly higher ( watch what happens with a dive bomber attack ...) then other aircraft possibly having some effect on enemy fighter consumables. I do not know exaclty if and how it works yet, if the high speed or the higher altitude was causing it, but at one occasion enemy fighter consumables seemed to not engage me flying through their circle on my way to a distant target as i litterally passed above them. These fighters were patrolling in the circle, not on their way there.

    That fails as you don't always get to spawn near one. They can be minutes away on some maps as CV do not accelerate or turn that fast. I would have done it if any had been near. But you are right if it would be a pre match strategy that would pretty much fail right then and there where CV's do spawn near each other, and seek to use each others AA. That being nonsense does not change enhanced AA kill squadrons faster. More then one squadrons potentially drop more torpedo's or bombs sinking you if you are a stock AA defenceless nub that can't kill them fast enough to prevent too many weapons dropping. It is therefore important AA kills squadrons faster - even if these squadrons are simultaneaously killed anyway - and enhanced AA does just that : kill faster.
  3. Excuse my ignorance as always, but why does a DD need priority target ? Aren't you supposed to be screwed when you see "detected" symbol anyways, without having to know how many enemies are turning guns on you ? Or is that a cap brawl thing to see if there are more - concealed - DD turning guns on you then the only the one you are brawling with ? Or nearby concealed Cruisers maybe ? But i take it taking fire is pretty obvious when you fall out of stealth....and the least of your problems if there are CV in the match....No wonder DD die like idiots in caps perhaps ?

    Other CV with diffrent builds would have sunk.....Being able to alter what your ship does to some extent is a feature of the game, you can choose to strenghten AA or to leave it stock. Stock AA could NOT have resisted 2 CV. But if you payed attention enahncing AA was still not enough....had to defend with dropping fighter consumables around the CV as well to fend them off. But it made enough difference as without it nothing would have mattered, while now desperate measures proved succesful. That is what made the AA in general seem so extremely overpowered right after the rework as almost EVERYONE took AA skills and modules, while some others still complained AA was too weak.....that is choosing captian points and modules doing that....not WG fiddling. That is probably why is is so difficult to '''balance'' in the first place.....you need to account for several possible builds. Guess what the "mandatory" build will be if ganging up on a singled out CV ever gets in fashion ? Because it will be very attractive if it works - it will with stock AA CV - and you can blap enemy CV out of existence in about 3-5 mins from match start. DD will want this, as they can do their old stuff again, undisturbed. If you noticed more strategies are already emerging using BB long range fire for that too.....CV won't be king-o-the-hill for much longer.

    Well WG probably found out premium versions of supposedly disliked classes like reworked CV do sell (probably extremely) well......and consideable money can be made by those hating those class by selling premium counter class to them. ( how many expensive AA cruisers did WG market up to now ? ) .......that ups the chance they would want to introduce submarines. If WG wants to cash again : - Introduce good damage submarines operating very stealthy - Sell even better versions of those as premiums - Cash in on the fears and grudges by selling premium powerful anti-submarine Destroyers and Light Cruisers - Cash in again on selling premium Support CV's with aircraft with depth charges and other aircraft with rockets and radar ( for search&destroy surfaced submarines + DD alike ) Pityful conservatist won't recognise the game anymore by then...but that did not stop other developers changing their game....i know of tankers that wanted no more precise fully human controlled aircraft with human selected payloads over their heads, and got attack helicopeters added....when you don't want players to leave on the long run, you must add complexity and fresh elements to your game.

    Well i'm not going to ague with most of that... But i can tell you i felt pretty alarmed when i saw what was going on, that they really inteded on sinking specifically me out of all enemies and just after minutes after map start, probably flying detours to do it......all options from then on are non-usual. Have you defended your CV with your own aircraft yet ? Felt as a pretty desperate thing to do for me..... When i think of it....they were not taking detours for their follow up runs, they arrived too fast after their last attack for that......must have been using "ninja" concealment captain points and module overflying the small gaps in the enemy line unmolested. Well that worked quite impressive, but obviously that does not protect against long, mid and short range AA opening up on them at their target....getting them killed nonetheless.

    Because my CV seems to be very differently build then most others......for which they rediculed me or even blame me for "losing matches this way" This difference cost these 2 CV their aircraft, plus some manual defending with fighter consumable drops since even that was not enough. Players wtih non-enhanced AA will not be able to withstand a combined attack from 2 CV simultaneous. That is the difference between nearly sininking and actually sinking when you encounter this. Since there are 4 CV in most matches with CV now you can expect to see such strategy more often.

    Do something about the CV vs. DD Issue already

    I experience the 4 CV per match situation as a continueous duckrape to DD as well. Because i can do little else start match but scout enemy fleet heading and search&destroy DD, i do it too ofcourse. But the situation is not acceptable for DD. Their reaction is however nerf, nerf, nerf and that is not the way. WG should be adressing the MM as that is the cause of all the problems with duckraping DD. Now there are 2 CV attacking often a single DD in a match. A healthier ( and normal ) situation would be a single CV attacking one of the 3 DD in a match,

    What carrier should I get

    - Extremely low hitpoints , behave like a magnesium powder flash igniting when in contact with AA - No AP bombs that make IJN divebombers so dangerous to armoured Cruisers and Battleships. CV is VERY vulnerable to aircraft damage. Tier X Aircraft are few in number but incredibly strong to lower tier ships, but weak because of this low number when compared to real Tier X CV. ( Just had the sitiuation me and an enemy Saipan were both heading toward a cap late game being the only survivors , and i realized i could not engage it with secondaries ! But it exploded violently after taking a strike from it's own type 3x Tiny Tim fighters i send on it, because i had no other aircraft left....very, very vulnerable ship...) T7 aircraft make it look weaker then the others but it is the most powerful CV of the bunch indeed.

    CV- JPN AP Bombs (CV Players)

    When you wait untill your aircraft almost pull out of the dive - the moment historic dive bombers would have released for maximum accuracy - you don't have to worry about "patterns" because the reticule is all over ship area as that ship fills your whole screen by that time. Some unenlightened ones will critisize waiting until maximum hit area will have your bombers exposed to continuous AA too long, but that is why you can get a ship Bombers Modification 2 module enableing to withstand just that. Taking the torpedo module is not mandatory, it is a choice what you want to be able to do most effective. When you think of it as i do, bombers always spend more time over ships of all the aircraft types, so they are the ones that should have more AA resistance. Because aircaft still have foreward speed bombs - especially when already pulling out - will fly foreward too, so it is a general good idea to attack coming from bow or stern so foreward flying bombs will still hit the lenght of the ship. Coming in sideways you will miss much more because of this. UK carpet bombers are even more aimed towards hitting the lenght of the ship, as their pattern will hit targets in lenght, but it is not so much different from AP divebombers or HE divebombers as it seems. Aim to hit the lenght of the ship coming in bow or stern. Coming from the bow you aim well in front of the bow compensating for the ships foreward speed. When coming in from the stern you overfly the ship aiming somewhere in front of the bow to compensate for the foreward speed of the ship. When the ship is not moving or going backward....guess

    A few questions about AA in 0.8.2

    This situation is not representive of what actually happens : it is missing the point ships will have their AA focus zones up in the direction of atacking aircraft thus not present 100 % to the outer edges where aircraft come from but more. 125 % ? But it is still healthier to "bounce" back at a similair angle you came in from thus staying on the outside of the circle of 1 ship, certainly not overfly the ship and head toward another as you will then enter the focus zone. This indeed opens possebilities attacking even a "blob" if you remain on the outside of this ships defence circle and not overfly it toward the other ships. Torpedo bombers will be very suitable for this.

    WG modelled CV to have very low DPM compared to other ships. To be able to have a decent score CV need to be around mid-late match to build up that score slowly. Also, at map start when ships overlap their AA a CV is almost powerless. Late game when enemy ships are scattered, alone, have wrecked AA modules and low hitpoints......then a CV becomes extremely powerful as it can always reach them anywhere in the map at any moment. So CV staying aline untill late game....that is 100 % intended by WG if the enemy was not able to do something about it. CV can be sunk at nearly all stages of the match you know.......it is done by keeping them spotted and bringing long range guns in range. That spotting can be done by an allied CV ( oh the horror ) or a DD that does not show himself to the CV as he will be killed if he does. Then it is only a matter of BB or Cruisers coming in range and focussing it down before it can run off. Ofcourse being able to focus on the CV is situational, as there are ofcourse other enemies around that prevent this. If you demand it is CV that delete other CV....convenient, but no WG decided that is not the way of the CV anymore......many still try, but nearly always fail at higher tiers then T6....most T8+ CV have 60+ pieces of AA.....has something to do with a bit of realism.

    This brilliant plan will cause the enemies to be all very skilled players as well......that means you will lose more often, probably bringing you to above or below 50 % too. Is that what you had in mind ? Being skilled only has effect if you deal with less skilled......if you go up equal skilled players, the result of your skills wil be 0. Don't worry...that is the thing many stats elitsts forget. They have only such stats because they fight unfair odds in their favor and don't seem to recognise that. Change that, and have stats that are above or below 50 % as other skilled players will even you out at that balance point. You need less skilled players to have good stats.....

    Did anyone inform you there are map edges stopping you from running away any further ? You have a failed tactic there, just as your stubborn failed Guru pal.... But if 2 CV decide to focus on you or your failed Guru pal there, you can sink all you want...and there are more flaws in your reasoning....

    But i do not have problems being deplaned......or even losing too many credits for lost aircraft. Not since the last rigorous nerfs anymore. So i don't need more aircraft survivability. Not even in Tier IX-X matches as i won't fly into dense AA formations anyway. I need CV survivability, as a considerable amount of players do come to kill the CV itself. I don't blame them, because if it works it is the ultimate effective way to remove enemy aircraft. I have the experience some CV's stock AA does let too many damage come through. With it intensified nothing comes through. And you keep ignoring the more agressive late match uses of being a moving no fly zone, when mostly or only enemy CV remain that can still kill all of your team when they are badly shot up. There are many uses for that benefitting your team greatly without even having to consider using the secondaries.

    1/3 of the CV try to sink my CV with aircraft. For that alone those points are exactly right destributed, i did not lose many CV to air attack but it has happend. And when you have to relocate but still take some BB/cruiser shots before you can escape you better were not be left with a few HP due to previous air attacks..... Because these points have double purpose strenghtening secondary batteries too they are even more worth it for me, as it increases the chance you can get away from attacking DD and fight on. And it can be put to use in more aggresive late match capping that can be very hazardous for other low HP ships that fail under relentless enemy air attacks. And can be put to even more agressive things....

    Why ? After rework i tried it, found it to do nothing usefull, ditched it. With last weeks free respec tried it again, found it to do nothing usefull after really trying to find use since everyone and their mother says it is mandatory, , ditched it again..... What does it do that i need ? 5 % faster reticule closing ? This does nothing for me, i have closed reticules ! 10 % for bombers ? This does nothing for me aswell, i drop only with closed reticule. Maybe it is ever since the nerfing "hotfixes" i learned to correct with very slight mouse movements not widening the reticules to begin with. Decellerating with torpedo planes and rocket fighters to gain more time if needed. I really begin to think this is for heavy handed fools....but maybe i'm wrong, then please enlighten me.

    Well with everyone looking to outside Guru's for knowledge instead of thinking for themselves, i do think for myself and settled for this for now. Reasoning is easy : took all the aircraft skills that actually make a noticable difference and put the rest in defence of the ship since that is under attack most of the time by enemy aircraft and sometimes DD. It also enables the CV to move around more agressively in late game for instance to take caps with a good chance to survive ambushes or intercepts by heavily damaged enemies. With this you will come out on top with CV vs CV close combat as well, this can be important as using aircraft against surviving CV can deplane you and leave you powerless to kill the remaining CV(s)

    Skill trees have options, which fit into certain styles of play. Skill tree options are never "worthless" if they fit your play and you actually use them. That has nothing to do with trolling or cultism...your behaviour however, trying to "shame" or derate me for simply saying this....

    Again and again this referring to STATS as an all-indicating source what a player is. Again and again ignoring these stats can be influenced in many ways. They CAN indicate someone is a good player. But they can also indicate one merely observes how stats are measured, and stack odds in such a way they will go up. The behaviour of what look like shaming cultists or something is such they cannot even ben skilled players. Because truely good players would not need to behave that way at all. The mere fact referring to stats or peacocking them indicates insecurity, or posing themselves better then they truely are. And obvioulsy blocking others from thinking of using given oppertunities offered by skill trees, modules and ship abilities. Because WG put thse choices up there because they are "worthless" right ? To fool the fools chosing them...riiiiiight....

    - The secondaries HELP kill the DD faster by ADDING damage that was nerfed by "hotfixes", as hellfire rains down from above. The correct way is a simultaneous attack with BOTH weapons. - CV have 50+ K healthpools, torpedo bulkheads ( that can absorb a lot of torpedo damage ) armoured belts ( many were converted heavy cruisers or even battleships ) armoured protected citadels and many have armoured flight decks that can stop weak guns from doing long range plunging fire damage. - When having a functional brain you take on incoming torpedo's on the bow....will never be more then 1-2 which you will survive easily. manouevering your CV with autoilot every few seconds while attacking with aircraft ( between the attack passes ) may be challenging at first but it can be done. - Most DD i have attacked with my CV secondaries and aircraft simultaneous missed all torpedo's seemingly in panic. ( lauch too early, have not aimed well ) Their moment of death trying to hide in smoke indicates this as well. This is where theory goes out of the window - DD can kill u EZ - and very different things happen in reality. - You underestimate the wall of fire secondaries can put up.....the faster ones fire every 3.4 sec ( and even that can be improved ) and there are a LOT of guns on T8 CV......with a reach of ~ 6 km they are grossly underestimated. Probably because no one ever had bad experiences with the weak stock ones at ~4 km. - The most killing feature of secondaries is..FIRE damage..that is re-applied every few seconds. Most attackers burn to death. ( i have points in that too, as it is usable in rocket fighters too )

    Overall WIN RATES ? So in what way are these NOT influenced by using other ships of all tiers and classes ???? How is this tied to CV use or what i claim ???? Hard fail on relevant facts.
