    Ok..having calmed down from the pretty abrupt change of playstyle that was in effect for ~ 2 years i see it is not the end of the world It kind of suits me to let DD be the responsibility of other classes and ignore them alltogether. Don't have to fly to allied DD to throw out fighter planes neither as i see most CV ignore DD too now. If they are bombed or torpedoes...well bad luck for them, can't be over caps for scoreless minutes on end now.... And striking Cruisers is just as much fun...only did that with larger missiles before. Scoring wasn't really impacted....scoreboard position for me peronally still where it always was : somewhere in top 5. Will get over this and probably learn to use it better as well. ( still don't think Cruisers find the change an improvemnt of life though....saw the other CV focussing and killing them too )

    No it is for Submarines that are coming as they need to be on the surface for half the match duration. That is why secondaries were nerfed too, which no one could understand why as they already were quite bad. DD profit from it as they are very similar to the new Submarines now. The 2 classes have become almost interchangeable. But anyone can see coming if BB are massacred - WG's largest customer group - the culprits will be culled. Never ending story really....

    She fought tier VII and VIII enemies IRL. Some of the ships in her fleet she commanded were tier V and VI.( although it was a bit of a rabble with much older ships too ) So in that light yes.... But in game not the weight of the rank of her commander ( Admiral - flagship ) is important, but her actual weapons compentence. And then it likely really is a tier IV ship. Still i voted yes as she else will not see Myoko's and Kagero's in game...her real life enemies and most glorious moments as a warship. As fighting superior enemies in a last stand are always glorious and inspiring no matter how grim they end. Not sure how much "glory" the men on the mauled ships actually felt, but they sure were brave and did their duty when that meant paying with your life for it. Often we judge what a ships in game should be based on reputation.....and i think WG really counts the weapons and armour for that verdict. Lots of (main belt, citadel or gun turret) armour of ships is actually 1:1 with reality. Only the extremity plating is tier based "fantasy" balanced.

    EU DD line Pan Asian DD line All CV lines RU BB line German BB line Limited DD killer type Cruisers I like all purpose DD ( capable of killing all possible DD and then continue to kill BB ) i like(d) using planes i like fighting CQC with BB if i must use Cruisers i like to kill ( capping) DD with them. I have various Cruisers with DD caliber weapons on them for that purpose. No like : camping or long range shell lobbing. ( although they are my favorite target as they are easier to hit with DD and planes, and fun to run through with CQC BB )

    If you think some one that started a new account ( to wipe his learning curve ) only play the choisests tech tree ships, plays through them for the 2nd or 3rd time butwith previous playthought not recorded, and more so producing only purple stats has more meaning then another that has not done all that.....well that is your ( hollow) opinion then. There are some real unique skilled players...but the word says it all : very rare. But there are masses of parade purple stas that did above who are no different then any other player, except for manipulating their stats in all ways possible but by having exceptional player skills. How can you tell the difference ? Toxidity.....real talented players do not need to be toxic at all ! Why would they ? Parade purples know they have no exceptional skills.....toxic as hell.....

    Well i would have advised against that earlier, due to it unenjoyable playstyle being limited by at least 3 limiters and 2 other limiting factors. But in the light of the recent mega nerf to rocket planes FDR is not that very different anymore. It could have even served as a testbed, like Fenyang can have been for the new German AP DD line.

    But this nerf has nothing to do with DD ! It is to make sure Submarines are not killed too easily. It is the same for nerfing the secondaries no one understood as it made no sense, unless you add in the fact the new submarines are very fragile and must be on the surface for at least half the match. And when you add that all up, ramapant running DD with accurate high ROF guns are a threat to fragile surfaced Submarines too. So i am serious when i suspect where the next nerf bat is going to fall. Or counter mechanisms being improved or added.

    It dawns on me (again) this nerfing of rocket planes, and nerfing of secondaries is not meant to protect those poor DD crybabies at all... It is all to protect the silly surface sailing and very fragile Submarines, as they must now spend most of their time above the surface ! So that must mean they are almost upon us......and what price most of us have to pay for that class being forced into PvP balance..... I would swear DD main guns are now much too accurate and much too high ROF for those fragile Submarines too....

    You can't have that if it does not pay lots of credits.....and it does not. Only doing damage does.... So off to farming BB it is as else CV are wasting their credit income and time. Now players stumble over me for being a noob player that plays for credits and such, but soon reality will dawn upon them all CV players want to be paid in credits just like in any other class......and soon BB will be credit farming pinatas ( and not only to CV as DD run rampant now too ) Winning does nothing for the credits that you earn.......losing neither. So that is not very interesting. Soon the forums will be filled of lamentations of victimized credit pinata BB that wish for the WOWS it was before DD ran rampant and even CV mass focus them.

    Yup..but everyone requiring low background steel has butter on his head when purchasing that......it is not just steel they are looting....it is low background steel. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-background_steel These ships were made before dozens of atmospheric nuclear explosions and accidents tainting everything on the surface* and were deep under water when they happened. *If you are born after the nucealr testing and accidents you have even traces of radiation in your hart cells, that people born before these tests and accidents do not have. Btw : So people who buy or use these, or get examinated or treated by these are scum too right : ( because that is where the robbed steel ends up in ) Geiger counters Medical apparatus: whole body counting and lung counters Scientific equipment: photonics Aeronautical and space sensors

    I did not watch my turrets turning when i first noticed Tone is pretty adept at fighting off persuing enemies, in sharp contrast to Ise. Now i did pay attention i realize why...... 3 turrets turn facing rear.......they do not have to come around all the way when you keep enemies behind you. ( 1 turret does though ) I also think this is pretty impressive
  13. Here in EU forums but also on NA forums ( and i assume all forums ) players are rolling over the floor fighting with words ( and insults, stat shaming and whatnot ) over planes in the game. It is obvious with so many modules, AA enhancing skills in commander skill trees, slots which can be equipped with DFAA and choices wether or not to equip a fighter or spotter consumable must have some effect are are not "noob traps" as some claim. Can there be an explanation by WG how the WG devs responsible for the design of AA envision how AA interacts with all the AA enhancing options. ...explain to us what is then supposed to happen if you enhance AA with certain combinations of skills and modules. As that seems to be such a big puzzle very few are even trying but masses are complaining ! Many players are angry because they cannot counter FDR spotting ( even at the "higest level of play" or so they claim ) .....so how do you counter FDR spotting ? Please @YabbaCoe ( i realise this is a daunting task ) @Crysantos @MrConway@Tanatoy correct this far too long festering issue ! And please not refer to an older "how to" video that was already released or https://wiki.wargaming.net/en/Ship:Anti-Aircraft_Fire : it is obvious that was not clarifying anyting to the mulittude of angry players at all. Or are these modules, skills and consumbales indeed "noob traps" and those that want to use them fools ?

    Yes sorry, the game play of ships should be interesting. As i said she has fought tier VII and VIII enemies IRL, so as a tier IV she is indeed too undertiered to be interesting. So i agree with you.

    Believe me, i know all about that country, how they think about defence budget spending ( never changed ! ) and how well trained their military would have been. The only thing these ships had going for them was the bravery of the men on them....and we do not get that in game. Only an air strike substitute to make up for it i guess. I can recall having read somewhere De Ruyter even had a mock gun barrel at some point in her career......go figure !

    You realize that ship faced Myoko's class IRL when it was sunk ? Kagero and Shiratsuyu class ? I would soil my trousers on that bucket if i were to see real Myoko's steaming up to to kill me..... It was meant to impress or intimidate colonies in a PR role....serve as a token force in distant regions.....not fight superior naval enemies in a war.

    I already read DD are gaining a power trip momentum and already make the lives of BB players extemely miserable....unchecked by CV that now instead of killing DD are farming BB too. Since BB are WG's largest customer group.....how long can this last ? I really feel it is approriate i join in the sinking of countles BB playing a DD the coming weeks or months too.....seems more appropriate then sinking Cruisers in CV just because you can't hit DD anymore. Can't shoot what you can't see ....im the invisible man, im the invisible man....see right through me

    Are you aware CV in general won't hunt or spot DD anymore at all after the latest nerf stunt ? You wanted CV to go farming Cruisers and BB as that now gives them credits....as you wanted them nerfed vs DD that will now not gives them credits. Forget spotting, that yields no credits, face the DD alone in your BB.....pray WG will listen to your lamentions when sunk by rampant DD a thousand times over. I will be in those DD, as it is not the time of the rampant DD. Now you have what you wanted....enjoy !

    Yes i use her in Operations where she is a fresh change of options to fight the bots. She is not stronger then normal BB or other classes in that enviroment but the planes have much utility when the guns are not needed to keep DPM up. Primarily in recon unveiling where bots will come from and pre damaging bots in remote locations out of gun range. Stuff that only CV usually can do. In PvP it is much more finicky to use as the 356 mm's can only overmatch 19 mm of plating so any Cruiser or BB that does not allow to be long ranged camped by it cannot be stopped clsing in and engaged at extremely unfaverable distances for Ise. While runnign away ise is unable to shoot at persuiers as well ( flight deck in the way ) I predict it will be very rare to encounter in PvP in a few weeks time......and this after video's where CC's seems to have eaten soap and mexican peppers when "commenting" the "insane OP'ness" of Ise......soon te be very rare Ise, because she is not even near OP at all. To add : Tone seems to be a much better Cruiser ( almost Atago ) then Ise is a BB ( Like Hyūga ) but as it has the same planes with the same ( individually very low dmg ) torpedo's that now must face Tier X enemies in PvP, so being a much better Cruiser ( even without the planes ) is a very necessary thing.

    I regarded comments that described WG developers of being drunk with Vodka while programming the game as nonsense, but when you see what are the consequenses of this act i begin to question if they might be right..... Lets assume El2ZeR and other "unicum's are right : i and other "lesser" CV players lack the skill to hit DD any longer ( while they supposedly can ) and start to hit the next thing we can hit with rockets : Cruisers....can that really be a surprise WG did not see coming ? What does that mean to already since captain rework falling Cruiser player numbers ? Now Cruiser players will cry for "AA that is not useless" instead of DD that had far more options not to be attacked by CV then Cruisers do...as these are far less concealed and get killed when constantly being attacked and spotted just as well as DD. Now i lost the match ( but saved my star ) with the BB lead picture like this* so "CV are dead" is far from true, and i do not feel discouraged to use CV even when maimed like this......but i do feel the amount of DD protection was 1000 % overdone. WG seems to be unable to make fine adjustments that actually work as needed. *

    Entirely new ballgame this....i saw the enemy CV resorting to torpedoing DD and that worked well for him ( IJN = fast torpedoes = CV class based ) Look at how much you must lead a BB before your controls freeze !!! To hit a BB sized target !!! Even FDR has easier gameplay compared to this, and that in one hell of a bch clunker. So against DD sized targets and agility this is "fine" ? WG shot a Shikishima gun on a mosquito insect with this nerf ( not the 1st time though ) .....i wonder how it will go from here.

    Not for Tone.... No you can't shoot at 180 degrees ( not through the superstucture ofc ) Yes you can fire at very usable slightly ship angled rear direction angles. And the double 10 km torpedo launchers are pre-angled to the rear too. They seem meant to sink persuing Cruisers and BB, or sink very close ones finishing a sharp turn. It is really an Atago with 2 less guns....how often do you only shoot Atago's 4 guns to the rear anyway ? My bet most of the time you want the 20 sec gun bloom to pass quicly so you go invisible when going in that direction..... ...and Tone can bug that persuier with planes, forcing it to give up overtaking you if it should prove to be faster

  25. If they can shut down the other CV : yes ofcourse. RTS galore.... That is the same thing as 1 side gets a CV ( that pre-nerf wacked all DD silly and won the match basicly by itself ) I doubt with the new nerf effects that can happen again....but CV...ofcourse they can damage and kill you....any ship in game can.
