I have finished at phase 30. I have started playing on December 20th after 2 and a half years of not playing the game. As I am quite old and have time to play only two-three hours after work at best and not every day my goal was to grind Gorizia. Of course I did. Also I stocked some amount of coal and steel, resources that was non existent when I stopped playing the game. I am sorry that I could not grind any directives from set VI as they rewarded coal, but I had not time for that. Ok I will grind it regular way slower.
I can imagine why there is a rage among players with the Puerto Rico event, as it was communicated badly. It had to be announced as an opportunity to get TX premium if You spend some doubloons at beginning of an event, and for those that do not want to spend money there is an easy grind for tier VII premium and lots of resources, flags and free premium days. Selected few that are the best players could possibly get it for free if they spend a lot of time playing during holidays. That is the way that had to be communicated.
I played event with realistic goals, and I am really satisfied, I am at 1/3 of needed coal for Georgia or Jean Bart, over the half of free XP for Alaska, and I have grinded 3 tier IX and 3 tier VIII I did not have before. I was playing at tier V to VII most of a time when I was playing before, those are the most fun tiers for me. And I really have no need for more then 1 tier IX premium credit grinder.
The only things that actually I do not like beside bad communication and I think that are the biggest problems are:
People who gave money for boosters for dubloons and could not finish in time due to ridiculous amount of directives tasks, they should be given their dubloons spent on boosters back. Not refund money, just refund the in game currency.
Stupid goals that encouraged people to play badly, selfishly and completely discouraged teamplay, in order to achieve event goals. Someone that actually plays the game should have designed goals for the event. For example Cap points, defend points, spotting damage, number of wins, percentage of shots landing on target, amount of HP healed and so on. The number of games people waited with their salvos to fire on near dead ships ignoring the over half HP ships was tremendous.
The T10 snowflake lottery was just trolling. It should have been some amount of steel (120-150 per snowflake) or small amount of dubloons and no RNG awards
Best regards to all
