Collision damage against enemies needs a toned down.

I agree with this statement. People just sail on without looking. so make sailing into friends just as devestating. I for one grounded my self trying to avoid collision with a teammate that wasn't looking where he was going. *grumble mumble* "should have just sailed right into him". Like the great Eddy izzard said impersonating margareth tatcher "I will sink your battleship" Anyway moving on. while it is big. while it is heavy and can take a punch. those things were not made to crash into one another. There were ships made for that but those were in roman times and they had rams attached to their stern and a lot of the time that would also mean the end of the ramming ship. So the above poster has the right point. -
How will you balance the ships of different classes? The game will inherit a slot system, so actually, it's the slots that will be balanced, not specific ships. Such slots may be occupied by one battleship or aircraft carrier, or two cruisers, or four destroyers. Combinations are also possible (e.g., one cruiser accompanied by two destroyers). Each ship present in the slot will be under a player's control. Each team will have no more than 10 slots (we ourselves, expect to have eight of them). Of course, there will also be a limitation in the maximum and minimum amount of certain class representatives per team I found this in the FAQ maybe that had something to do with it? That combined with the difference in tier? It is a wild thought though so I'm not sure it is. could of course be fluke in the MM system

Guys let's not resort to this. This topic should be closed.

Battle space too small especially with BBs around
Nielsken replied to Double_Blickaz's topic in Archive
Hey guys. I think the size is just fine atm. Although I have not played yet with battleships or carriers. But on several games I have found myself, having defeated the enemy on one flank, sailing for nearly 4 to 5 minutes without anything close enough to even try to engage before i reached a distance i could take potshots. So if you flank on one side with a cruiser and you win your side you are pretty much useless at that time for the next 5 minutes, that is unless you can park yourself in a cap circle. Do mind the effective range I had available to me was just 10km so. Kind regards Nielsken -
With the 6 slots I think you should have enough. More will offcourse be better but for the time being 6 seems enough. With 6 slots you can either go one off 2 ways. Either you have 1 or 2 classes you play and have a few tiers of those classes. Or you have one of every class of every nation in your highest tier which will differ after a week of playing. While I do agree that in WoT I too keep several lower tiered vehicles because I like them. I must say that I do find that most of them remain unused. So for the time being 6 is more then enough to do just as you please. On the other hand if you do want to have several tiers of every class of every nation then you can't ATM. But I hardly see that being usefull as a lot of those will not be played. That is my take on the subject.
