Carriers do not have magazine.... at least I did not ever see a carrier getting "detonated". Well replay would be nice.

Not only I played a PTS I even played Midway yesterday. And that ability is a crap. I was even on chase of 3 Hakuryu bombers, when I thought "Oh ok, so they are running away from me and I am super close to them, let's put that AoE to use, aaaaaim carefully aaand click" .... fighters turn around to approach in a better angle resulting in bombers getting away and bombing BBs in my team.... well implemented I would say..... You can have your experiences from mid tier, where planes are about 30% slower and the AoE range of the skill stays the same, thus resulting in more easier use of it, but come back and write your experiences after you will try T10 planes. And if you were able to "devastate" IJN planes, well then I would say that the IJN captain was dumb, to let you do this as he has more fighter squadrons so he can easily lock you down. Oh you are playing with IJN too, then I dont get it at all, cause every solid CV captain, would not let you to properly use that ability at all.... -

Co se týče max nastavení grafiky, tak dle mého hra nejvíc trpí na absenci nějakého rozumného AA (antialiasingu). Je to takové vše hrozně kostrbaté pořád. -

This would be all nice if it wouldn't be only theory. Practice is different. 1) Every decent Hiryu player will sail with the fleet thus having CAs covering him so no CV snipe from 0/1/3 Ranger possible. 2) Yeah tight spread is good... against big targets. But try to hit a DD with those 34knots torps. 3) Yeah better speed that is good right? Well not it is completely opposite, cause they did not remove Dogfighting perk, which means more DPS to Hiryu fighters against more speedier Ranger ones. 4) New fighter manual AoE is crap, cause they suffer from the same "turn around and make cleaner approach" as bombers, which totally throws off your aim, and you will probably miss a lot of times with that skill, which means wasted ammunition. 5) US DBs are superior to IJN, but having ONLY 2 DB squadrons will make you suffer. And no they are not more accurate than IJN ones, only that there are 6 bombers on the same spread, which results in more hits of course. The only thing USN have for them is better ship AA thus making themselves impossible to snipe. But really, we will see when Ranked battles come and how many Rangers there will be. EDIT: And in Ranked battles, you can count on players having there captains with air superiority, that means 2 more fighters and DBs for 2/2/2 Hiryu, which will result in even more drastic air superiority over 0/1/3 Ranger. -

Ok then let us compare more. Hiryu 2/2/2 vs 0-1-3 Ranger - do I have to write more? Hiryu 3/1/2 vs 2-0-2 Ranger - Air superiority is the same, BUT Hiryu has one torp squadron more, and that will make it way better against ships. Now do you see the imbalance? Main thing is that 2/2/2 Hiryu setup is universal AND completely viable. But 0/1/3 Ranger setup is suicide one, and against 2 Hiryu fighters completely worthless, and 2/0/2 will achieve nothing against ships. And the second thing, potential damage is nice, but if your fighters are getting wiped out before they can unload all their ammo, then bad day. -

Are we seriously playing the same game? How are USN fighters better by stats than IJN ones? Take for example Ranger vs Hiryu - 1/1/1 vs 2/2/2. You sure that the IJN are the ones getting their [edited]kicked in this scenario? Or Midway 1/2/2 against Hakuryu 2/3/3. Again you sure the IJN are weaker ones? It is completely the opposite right now. -
Ok, so here are my 50 cents regarding CVs after the patch: 1) Fighter manual aim - completely worthless, fighters using manual barrage has this same stupid "feature" as bombers that they go crazy and start turning around if you issue the manual aim on a different angle than they are flying, to prepare for a perfect lead. I can understand this with bombers, cause you know, bombs and torps are heavy and they are not supposed to turn on a dime, but why the hell fighters? On T10 the planes are so fast, that it makes this skill usable only in 1 in a million situation. 2) IJN vs USN balance - is now completely out of whack, the only thing that is somehow balanced is T8. The mid tiers IJN are way superior in every deck compared to USN, why? Cause IJN fighter decks have the same amount of fighters as USN fighter decks, but USN fighter decks have 0 torpedo bombers. Then comparing USN and IJN balanced decks, problem is that USN balanced decks are only the stock ones, so for example Ranger vs Hiryu 1/1/1 vs 2/2/2.... he has more fighters, more bombers and can cross torp DDs with them and more DBs for fire micromanagement, seems quite balanced right? Then on the top tiers it gets even worse. Hakuryu vs Midway. So yesterday I had battle with my strike Midway against strike Hakuryu. Our fighters engaged above one of my Tirpitzes. So yes I had friendly AA accompanying me. Guess how the battle went? My fighters got shredded to pieces and I only managed to shoot 2 out of his 10 fighters. So again lets do a simple math 1/2/2 Midway vs 2/3/3 Hakuryu, 7 vs 2x5 fighters (counting captain perk as I suppose all T10s will have it) IJN wins on fighters, 12 vs 12 TB it is the same, 14 vs 15 dive dombers, IJN wins yet again. Then comes worse part the 4/2/2 Hakuryu against whatever Midways setup. Against 3/0/2 the Midway will eventually win the air game, but only cause of its plane reserves, but by that time it will be too late as Hakuryu will be able to do much more damage with its 2 TBs and 2 DBs. Then against 2/1/2 and 1/2/2 the Midway does not stand a chance in the air superiority whatsoever. 3) Mirror MM - good on paper, bad in practice. Yesterday I only played 1 battle in my Midway as I wasn't able to get second one as we left the queue after 11 minutes of waiting. Thing is that about 7th minute in queue, I was watching papedipupi's stream, and he just got into queue too, so I was thinking to myself, ok nice we will have a match, but guess what happened? After his (only!) 3 minutes of waiting, he got into 8v8 match against enemy Essex, and we were still stuck waiting. So yeah it seems that this mirror MM really needs some serious tweaking. 4) Captain perk - why the hell did the Dogfight perk survived the patch? I thought it was introduced mainly cause of issue with lower tier carriers having no chance against higher tier ones, but now after fighter rebalance, the skill is just there to throw the balance out of the window again. My advices on how to "fix" these issues? 1) If it is possible, pls allow fighters to turn on a dime when executing the barrage, or just make it scalable (bigger area) with tiers, as on top tiers the plane speed is just too much and the skill is pretty useless. I would love this new feature if it would work as it should, cause right now the fighters without it are a complete point-click-nobrainer. 2) Increase the HP of USN fighters by at least 20%, maybe 25% would be better. And give Ranger 1/1/2 bomber setup to at least somewhat mitigate the ultimate 2/2/2 on Hiryu. 3) Tweak the MM to prioritize ppl by the time spent in the queue, that cannot be that hard. It shouldnt happen that someone who waits 3 minutes gets favorable match, when there is someone else waiting 10 minutes already. 4) Replace the perk completely, with something interesting and not with something that screws balance again.

Dude you serious right now? I am not complaining about that change but about that it does apply to fighters manual aim too. Calm down already, this CV players hate is really starting to piss me off.

Well the problem is that this same thing applies to manual aim of fighters, which makes it.... well.... completely unusable and a joke?

You are still thinking as there would be no CV on the enemy team, like that the DD will not have a carrier on it's team. You need to think of it as a bigger picture, and as always it all depends on individual player skills.

Jeeez and what do you think I was talking about? If there will be no opportunity, then why the hell CV captain should go after enemy CV as that would be covered by CAs too and by his own fighters? Your post doesn't make any sense. It is much more viable to try and wait for someone to do a mistake, than to loose all planes in a futile attempt on enemy CV and hit him with like one torpedo. Just please do not try to teach me how matches of CV vs CV looks like in battles with good players. Ofc I only brought it as an example where that rule can be broken.

Nechápu na tom příspěvku skoro ani slovo co z něho zaznělo. Nejen, že se to nedá číst, ale vůbec to ani nedávalo smysl. Vskutku tvá představa počítání WR a nějaké sčítání procent mne (a nejen mne) docela rozesmála. Prostě a jednoduše jsem ti tu (s Loktarem) postnul hráče, kteří mají horší WR na CVčkách než na ostatních třídách a k tomu jsi se ani nijak nevyjádřil, nejspíš proto, že ti došli "argumenty". Neustále dokola tu opakuješ jednu tezi a to že hráči CVček mají OP staty protože je zvýhodňoval MM. Tvá teorie má ale dost trhlin, které už jsem tu já a nebo Lothar dostkrát potvrdili a ty si stále jedeš to své. A důvod proč jsem psal že je budu hrát dál, byla prostá reakce na tohle tvé: a psal jsem, že nevidím důvod proč bych po dnešní aktualizaci neměl CV hrát. A proto ti to říkám znovu, zapiš si prosimtě počet bitev a počet vítězství co mám teď a za týden můžem srovnat ok? -
Nope. In advanced ranks where all players know what they are doing CVs are only waiting for any opportunity they can get. And that means ships (better lone ship) without AA barrage ability or not being covered by friendly ship which have this ability. And that is why if two good carrier players ever encounter each other, they know that going after themselves is waste of time, as every decent CV player is moving with the fleet thus having CAs cover.The only difference is being in 2v2 CV matches, but still the power of the AA barrage panic ability is game changer for carrier and that is why good players are always going for opportunities and not strictly against some one target (in this case enemy CV).

You know that T10 CVs as the (almost) only ships in the game have to research modules worth of 100k xp and 10 mil credits to be in top form? You know that every game in T10 CV costs you about 120k credits of service cost even if you don't get a scratch?Oh wait. Why won't OP just plays PvE then? Win win. EDIT: And heck we are talking about T9 CV here, that means 250k xp and 21 milion credits to be grinded for T10, and you are argumenting with some PvE? You serious right now? -

Do I have to repeat myself? This "argument" of yours "What's the deal if the matchmaker tells you: 'Sorry, can't find a match, try another ship'?" I can easily turn around and say "If you do not want to play against that 'special' ship, just go and pick some low tier ship". Same type of argument.... No I say that I don't want to [edited]up few players completely so that the rest can have perfect matches. That's called socialism. -
Kluci do hodnocení expů na webu se už dávno počítá pouze a jen prémiovej účet a hádám že i časem se přestane počítat, stejně tak jako tomu bylo ve WoTku. Jen v dobách CBT se tam počítaly vlajky a násobky. Tohle už pár týdnů neplatí.

1) And what? You think T10 carriers have instant MM or what? 2) And my part is that you should maybe start looking on it from that players point of view. You would not be happy either if someone would not allow you to play your favorite ship to finally get to tier X and have that branch finished.... we have some nice proverb in czech for that, too bad you won't understand "Z cizího krev neteče!" . Freely translated it means that "I don't care about other people suffering as long as I won't have to suffer myself." 3) No thing breaks down that no matter what you play or what you want to play you should be able to play at all. -

Ok then maybe let's turn it around. If you don't want to get into battle against high tier carrier, play other low tier ships then? No one forces you to play high tier ships, you can play tier 3 and I bet you will not have the OPs problem there. Problem solved. I hope you know that he had to wait more than 5 minutes, for the mirror CV rule to be discarded? And same thing mentioned above applies to you, you can play other low tier ships, no one is forcing you to play Tirpitz on weekday morning. -
Simple solution from WG would be to "unresearch" and sell upgraded setups for all changed IJN carriers, and compensate the players to let them choose what setup they want to go now. But that did not happen and I think that you won't get compensated as was already said. They changed both setups so you have your newer version of your old setup, although your old setup was the same as the new other setup.
