    Huge number of game files

    Is there any chance, that number of game files will be reduced? Right now, the game has almost 11GB in size, which is fine, but it is made of over 110 000 files which a huge difference compared to WoT which has more than 18GB in size but it is made of just 5 600 files in total. The huge number of files is making it almost impossible to load maps in time on standard 3,5˝ HDD and it is making it almost impossible to defragment the folder with game, because it takes days to sort all these files.
  2. Hello, so I got into closed beta, played few games with Japanese Cruisers. I found just one bug with nonresponsive buttons in dock, which I already reported but still I want to contribute somehow because now I am the mighty closed beta tester. so I want to share my initial thoughts which came to my mind before/in/after the heat of battle: 1) First thing which I really miss is stat about damage done at the end of the battle. I know, that damage mechanics are still in development so there can be some ridiculous numbers showing up, but for me it is the real core stat. After all we are not playing CS, CoD or BF, where one shot or burst in 90% results in kill. Here you land tens of hits to one ship before destryoing it and one lucky shot from teammate can steal the kill so number of kills or assist does not really mean anything. 2) Persistent turning is only 1/2 or full turn, which for me really is not enough unlike many speed adjustments which I find really unnecesary (I go either full speed, stop, or reverse). Also permanently shown position of rudder would be really handy. 3) Missing ability to stop turrets from turning starts to be really painful when bigger and slower turrets come to play. In combination with turning maneuvers it really starts to be challenging to operate your ship, turrets, torpedoes and be effective in battle at the same time. 4) Missing radial menu and "T" button for communicatiing like in WoT. Now THIS is imo really needed early in the game like this. Chat is not handy and hard to notice in the middle of battle and most of all, this game is and will be played by MANY players who just doesnt speak english. 5) Tiers are not in the description above the ship and that is one of the important informations which help me determine, if I should poke that ship on the other side to the eye or if I should retreat and hide as fast as I can. PS: Do you guys even care about this kind of posts? I mean I can see right away, that many features known from other two games are missing or are just replaced with temporary solutions and it seems obvious to be done yet. I mean you probably have tons of ideas in mind, in progress, in trash bin and do not have any interest in more.

    Invite more players

    I also would like invite codes for my two friends. All I can say is unlike opening closed beta for more players, where you do not really know who applies (total newbies, guys who register but won't play, guys who can't run the game at all, kids who cry in chat/forum), I can assure you, that my friends are WoT veterans, who do not write trash in chat, are familiar with sw development or at least game balance, know how to report bugs properly and are not type of guys who "pick BB for the win". Also those code giveaways are pure nightmare for anybody who wants to get in, all keys are used in miliseconds.
  4. It is beta already, so I don't expect any big features to be added, but instead some polishing is going to be done now imo. Well, I don't think that they are that small team, so I guess, that some people are dedicated to the user interface and stuff around.
  5. I don't get you... Thank you, that is useful information for me. So from what I read here I get that I should just play the game, because that is what developers currently want me to do.
  6. 1) Sorry, I didn't put it clear. I want to compare my damage done stats to other players, because that is imo much more relevant performance measurement than kills/assists. 2) I would like to set turning speed and let it be, not to tap my keyboard all the time. 3) I know, I am talking about stopping turrets immediately. 5) Yeah, skill allows you to destroy high tier battleship with any kind of main caliber, you just need time and skill to survive to fire thousand shots, right? Thank god, that we have unlimited ammo. I didn't mean PS in any kind of insulting way, just that I doubt, that developers do not have enough ideas for months or years of development and need us to suggest anything like this. I apologize, if I offended anybody.

    Scout planes ?

    Well, If the mechanics would be documented, then one would know, how to use them properly... But I assume that mechanics are still potential subject to change, so it has no sense to document it already.
  8. The current RMB mechanism is more suited for battleships, but it is not perfect for fast maneuvring ships. Maybe ability to switch RMB functionality in settings between current one and "WoT like" mechanism.
