Halloween ones yes. But in event WG would hand out rental premium with 21pointer, this change prevents you from putting said captain on tech tree ships. -

Rental captains are usually event ones, like Halloween/apocalypse, bound to specific ships to begin with - you can't use Halloween captain in tech tree ship for example. And I presume this change will also apply to rental premium/tech tree ships should those become more prevalent in the future, to prevent "abuse" of retraining rented 21pointer onto tech tree ship -

Increased draught (distance between waterline and ship bottom) should result in ship sitting lower in water, ie freeboard (part of the ship above waterline) decreases Decreased draught should result in ship sitting higher in water So someone at lesta cast a confuse and it was very successful by the looks of it -

Tbh most dockyard ships so far are on "meh" side. Pay2Rico seems disappointing compared to Alaska tier lower and what she gains in barrel count, she more than "compensates" in accuracy and reload. Odin is kinda making suddenly Scharnhorst an interesting option at tier lower + she was "power crept" by Brandenburg as 305mm armed BB. Anchorage is boring no utility damage farmer + she was "powercrept" by Rochester being announced shortly after. Hizen is kinda eh, as she appeared during "lots of BB barrels" wave. D7P shines mostly by not-dying-in-one-salvo, in return she's rather undergunned for a T8 CL. Repulse so far seems to be the most enjoyable and solid ship to get from Dockyard events so far, and apparently push back for making her "Dockyard exclusive" was severe enough she was added to the armory for dubs later on? Atlantico so far... doesn't bring much to the table besides secondary memes, utilizes outdated gun caliber with no HE option, and then its more likely one would have high level BB secondary captain in German nation than Pan American one. -
Except at some point that mechanic of lowering AA the more ships are present "broke down" and before WG got around to fix it, they realized it had no meaningful impact on the game anyway so there are no debuffs on overlapping AA. I'd love to give patchlog for that, but it was more than a year ago and I'm not quite in position to browse all of them

Such concept also requires said Grozovoi to see the Gearing, which in turn calls for potato that would continue gun duel. I think pretty much every sane Grozovoi skipper upon discovering enemy DD first thing would try is to disengage and start increasing distance to make use of better ballistics. Staying at <6km brawl against anyone but Shima and Delny is not going to end particularly pretty for Grozovoi and even those encounters will casually soak up all heals. Ironically, Daring and Brits in general are one of better picks for open water shenanigans. Sure, 37kts top speed with speed flag in straight line might not win many hearts, but ability to retain that 34kts during frantic maneuvers with broken engine on a ship with good turning radius does. Delny does 38kts mid turn, 40 with engine boost and with much less amazing turn radius and rudder shift. If you knock engine out, her speed goes down to 34kts, or 36kts with engine boost on.

I can already see one reason why you're failing with BBs *sips tea in brit BBs* cruisers also tend to evaporate rather quickly and violently when massaged by battleship grade munitions Daring ballistics are not really that much different than any other destroyer not armed with FR 139mm, RU 130mm or Ger 150mm, while she have 12.8km range, one of the higher stock values making any range extending options less enticing. Her short smokes also allows you to be much more liberal with using them, be it CV evasion or opportunistic window for dakka Also I'd like to point out "proper gunboats" of French/Russian variety are almost universally outgunned by other destroyers, even IJN "torpboats" have similar gun DPM without sacrificing concealment, torpedoes and smoke. Though at least baguettes have MBRB gimmick? And then proliferation of high velocity guns at hightiers as well CV REEEwork makes open water gunboats a dying breed and for a good reason - these ships would make a fine and interesting CL at tier 5-6, but as they are classified as "destroyer", bringing one removes destroyer proper from team lineup. Cranking up gun damage doesn't seem to be the solution in WG book either - Khaba was absolutely rekt in gun range and rudder shift to compensate for 4th turret and associated extra gunpower, Zhorkiy already is due for a gun reload nerf and gets 10km torps because reasons

Accuracy works both ways. If your aim is off, you WILL put majority of salvo into the water and/or it will miss 25/27mm bit of plating and ricochet off 30mm section. Then there is issue of target dodging your shots, as despite how "bussian rias" she have for railguns, we're still talking about 9s flight time at 18km. Enough for nimbler targets to evade or greatly diminish effectiveness of your shots.

Tbh quality of those l2d leaves something to be desired, just like Arknights ones. That or just Azur Lane set bar too damn high, with multiple animations for each and every in game event - touch, mail, mission reminder, multiple idle lines etc. tfw walking is for mortals -

Majority, if not all gachas are "done in 15min" with daily supply of stamina and daily tasks. And Honkai, just like Bonk Archive have relatively fast recharging stamina coupled with low cap, "encouraging" logging in twice a day, that was my point. #justShogunthings -

Again, WG will NOT introduce any form of "skill based" into main game mode being all about being RANDOM. Hsienyang gets TRB, but otherwise she will still be Benson with one turret less? Same torpedoes but with DWT flavor, so while they can smack, I don't think she will turn into prime choice of a torpedobote unless you're into business of dumping 20 fishes every two minutes. -

Because Wargaming bends and breaks the ship to match planned gameplay, instead adjusting planned gameplay to the ship. Historical "flavor" is gone from the game for quite a few years by now, or rather, "it is allowed to exist" as long as it doesn't interfere with planned gameplay. And WG planned Canarias (and Dido) to be mediocre premium ship handed out for free in the event, thus she was balanced around price of free. The moment WG decides to give battleship grade penetration to a 76mm gun, players WILL get destroyer/corvette armed with 76mm gun punching holes in battleships, logic and balancing be damned. -

Uhh, Benson is last US destroyer that can be considered "decently fast" with 38kts speed. Fletcher and Gearing are in 36kts. Benson also combines good firepower with decent concealment of 5.8km, substantial torpedo pack and amazing agility. Only ships that seriously "outcompete" Benson, like everyone else at tier 8, are Brits thanks to their concealment, utility consumables and solid-to-great gunnery. And concealment is a trait that uptiers amazingly well in Randoms. Average speed goes down as destroyer tiers go up, settling at not-so-cozy 35kts in quite a few ships. "Bigger" isn't really a trait you want either, as it makes bigger target (duh) but also reduces maneuvreability -

So far all we have are 3d models floating in space. And given "no gameplay changes", I have grounds to believe WG won't adjust Gearings waterline, especially as she is fine statwise and not really in position for buffs (?)
