Finally I'm done with Kiev... Permaspotted DD gunboat gameplay with guns that aren't exactly effective past 11-12km isn't exacty my suite I'm afraid, especially as Tashkient looks to be citadelles cruiser with DD guns and hp pool... I guess I'll simply focus more on getting North Carolina than getting another team and enemy being dumb dependant high tier ship -
Dear WG please reconsider gradual dispersion of benefits for the upcoming v0.5.3 captain skills instead of strict "binary ON/OFF" cut-off points!

Not exactly. Short and mid range AA guns got (noticeably) nerfed, especially IJN ones, while their DP guns weren't buffed to make up for that. Basically midtier IJN ships, went from "ineffective AA" to "lel captain fires his handgun" Overall AA nerf at low-mid tiers combined with tiers 4-5 carriers getting WAY faster planes might end with ultimate sealclubbing from them, with only Cleveland being able to stop them, maybe USN BBs to an extent.

Przeciwko choć ćwierć myślącym graczom Cleve się nie sprawdzi z uwagi na trajektorię. Z drugiej strony, Cleveland to jest rzeźnik na krótkich dystansach, poniżej 10km, więc na archipelagach czy ogólnie mapach gdzie możesz się zbliżyć do wroga, to i nawet na kompaniach/innych trybach drużynowych może się sprawdzić. Może. Przeczytaj jeszcze raz moje zdanie z AFT

Jako 4ty slot szybszy ster zawsze i wszędzie w krążku. Jeśli chodzi o skille jakie były na pierwszym teście 5.3, to skłaniałbym się w stronę żarówki, obrót wież (mimo że znerfione to wciąż przydatne, byś nie wyprzedzał własnych wież), Czujność/Vigilance, Demo Expert. Dalej to nie wiem, nie ma za bardzo co wsadzić. Z drugiej strony, coraz bardziej się skłaniam do APków na Clevie, więc AFT w miejscu DE, na wypadek jakbyś spotkał lotniskowiec może nie zaszkodzić

On other hand BBs most likely will use AFT for secondaries build, as most likely will go extinct.

What if IJN DD divisions with battleships? If you're leaving 1v1 situation its only fair if both sides have teammates.

This. DM have decent accuracy to start with, so she can take AA range upgrade and live just fine. But no way she will trade main battery range for AA dps, also Demo Expert is overall more usefull than AFT, especially as you have 6km AA with decent dps already

Zao even without dedicated AA build is fearsome against CVs with AA barrage, German cruisers from Admiral Hipster onwards outperform USN in terms of AA both in mid and long range dps. German DP guns also have the highest dps from all cruiser DP guns (with Zao close second), so they benefit the most from AA barrage and manual AA skill. Des Moines shines with constant long range high dps, not reliant on AA barrage, although Hinden dps is overall higher both with and without AA barrage.

That could be somewhat solved by more powerful torps/bombs for squadron. Amount of planes wouldn't change, but their payload could get better.

From brief mathwork only Aoba and Yorck with AFT at 20% bonus are the case of cruiser outranging battleships - 17.88km Aoba vs New Mexico+range upgrade 17.28, not valid once NM spotter is up; 20.76km for Yorck vs 19.4km on Colorado+range upgrade, again invalid with spotter up. And who said AFT can't be lowered to lets say 10% for guns above 155? USN hightier cruisers (Baltimore and Des Moines) already can reach 22km range with 16% range upgrade and spotter plane, which doesn't make them overperforming with shell flight time of 18 seconds

Wouldn't be simpler to extend AFT/BFT/EM for 203mm armed cruisers?

For midtiers Torp speed skill is more of a tradeoff, but for tier 8+ IJN, which have plenty of range that skill is no brainer. Gunboats, which would enjoy Survivability Expert the most have to choose from DE (USN) and AFT (RU), while IJN can go straight ahead for hp, as no amount of skills is going to make IJN proper gunboats. Vigilance works well enough, but unless you have 18lvl captain you have to pick it or Superintendent, which benefits greatly BBs and hightier CA, you never can have too many repair parties.
