    There are hardly any decent tier 5 skills for battleships. Yes, there is manual secondaries skill, but its more for IJN as they have more range to boot on these. Concealment for Iowa/Montana is hardly useful, although BB appearing at 12km allows some "suprise mothafucka" moments. Personally I'd distribute these 5 skills among Vigilance/Supernintendo, BFT and/or Situational Awareness, unless you intend to ditch USN BB line and go for cruisers/derpstroyers, then both can enjoy Concealment a lot

    Personally I'd go with AA/survival build: For 18 points usage: (1) Basics of Survivability, (7) Situational Awareness, (8) Basic Firing Training (2) Expert Marksman (3) Vigilance, (5) Superintendent, (6) High Alert (4) Adv. Firing Training Main Battery survivability (although AA survivability is worth a thought), AA range increase, Main battery accuracy upgrade, Reduced fire chance, Improved rudder shift, Target Acquisition upgrade Premium Damage Control, Premium Repair Parties That way you end up with BB almost capable of solo fending off carriers (when not battered in HE fire) and greatly improved torpedo detection range against destroyers

  13. At extreme angle shells will glance off citadel armor. But there is always stray shell that will hit your front and plough through turrets straight into engine rooms Or penetrate through deck armor
  14. Treaty or not, no cruiser armor will stop 406+ shells. And Tashbrick... I actually like and somehow it works better than Kiev for me
  15. Tier 7 is turning point, as cruisers turn into glass cannons, without cannons part against BBs. And I'm not sure you will like Baltimore/Des Moines AP - they use superheavy AP, which might have the oomph, but lack of shell velocity can be disturbing
  16. Git gud guns and you will have IMO the best T7 kruzer - Myoko have the same turret traverse as stock Pepsi and it just doesn't cut it, while Pensa is nicely agile for shell evasion.

    There aren't "epic" captain skills for battleships that would ensure some quality clubbing. Although *if* Anime Fletcher happens, such statpadded captain certainly will find some purpose.

    Accuracy on cruisers isn't an issue even for long range shelling, long time to impact is bigger issue as enemies can simply change course. And MK is indeed long range spammer, as up close it tends to evaporate uncomfortably fast. 152mm cannons rely on hitting superstructure, as hitting any sort of armor won't do much. On other hand, 152mm AP tend to be actually one of the best cruiser rounds against battleships, or any ships following All or Nothing armor layout - they are unlikely to overpen superstructure or anywhere on the ship except citadel armor, thus they often deal regular penetration x0.3 damage, combined with high rof damage can ramp up significantly

    Keep in mind with being "less angled" you're presenting bigger target, thus you can catch more shells, without necessarily risking citadel penetration. But nonetheless cruiser stagnation is a thing in 7-9 tiers, although Ibuki/Baltimore/Roon can be "improved" with costly upgrade modules (main battery range upgrade and concealment upgrade, 5mil total) to allow firing unspotted. Which was necessary to survive in World of Battleships. With current trend towards destroyers number of BBs is on decline, thus cruisers became more enjoyable in cruiser fights, while they aren't helpless against destroyers. Although torpedo walls can be annoying and can't be dodged at times. And top tier crusiers aren't on equal footing to battleships either. Well, Montana can't stand up to Yamato, let alone cruisers unless they have full concealment build and pester Yamato from afar. Progression between tiers is wonky for IJN destroyers as well - after fabulous Minekaze every next ship is slower and slower, while they gain in torpedo range and damage they lose torpedo speed significantly. Only Kagero and Shimakaze pack torps with speed comparable to those in Minekaze. And Shimakaze itself is source of issues, namely carpets of 15 of those high speed hard hitting babies
