Don't do logic when it comes to WG Quick balancing attempt, and it still makes more sense. -

Guided torpedoes WG edition -
This. NC and Alabama are very similar, so if you get along with NC, Alabama will be just fine.

Don't do logic when it comes to WG. Based on navweaps 6"/47 mk16 (Brooklyn, St. Louis, Cleveland Fargo) had 8-10 rounds per minute. -
Do you use "Vigilance" Captain skill on your ships?
Panocek replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Brit cruisers, and even then I still can catch torps. Must be tied to their clumsiness when reversing -

Lack of range isn't so much of an issue, lack of damage potential is. RoF 10/min should be IMO starting point. Same with Worcester, loking at historical specs - Neptune level of firepower basically (12 barrels at 5s reload) -

Not quite. Certainly Cleve outdoes Pepsi and NO in terms of useful AA, but other T8 CL with exception of Mogami have the same or better AA, while ALL other CLs have range and ballistics advantage. DPM advantage also goes to the drain, with Cleve lacking any exploding dildos for close and personal moments. Only Kutuzov is worse in terms of concealment. Waterline citadel is kinda offset by longer engagement ranges = more underwater pens. -

Wild guess suggests WG simply changed tiers as is, with barely any changes to the ships themselves and see what happens. -

That was said about Worcester AFAIK? Still, 16mm plating at tier 8 CL without smoke and heals? -

I wonder how much one will gain by buying ships before split, to sell them later. Assuming having all ships in question (2,950,000+5,570,000+8,900,000+13,600,000=31,027,000): Baltimore gets replaced by Buffallo, player gets T8 Balti (reimbursed with 8,900,000cr) NO gets replaced by Balti, player gets T7 NO (reimbursed with 5,577,000cr) Pepsi gets replaced by NO, player gets T6 Pepsi (reimbursed with 2,950,000cr) Cleve gets replaced by Pepsi, player get T8 Cleve in another branch That should be 17,427,000cr from ship doubles + port slots + captains. Now from selling tier 6 to 9, that would be another 15,513,500cr, 32,940,500cr total. So unless I cannot into math, it should be modest, 1,9mil credit gain from investment in terms of credits. Now if ships were bought when discounted, that would be 7,8mil credit gain. Not quite as much as for RU DD changes, but -

While Pepsi/NO with current AA should be fine when downtiered, I'm tad worried about Baltimore - if she keeps her current, historical AA complement she will obliterate flying things at tier 8 -

9s is for stock, 7s on top hull. -
Repair cost used to be tied to damage taken, and players camped HARD to preserve their precious. WG changed that to fixed fee (and its lower than it used to be). Thanks to that hightier playerbase only camp hard, believing they save credits on repairs

Stock configuration at tier lower seems to be WG starting point. If NO will be stuck with 14.7km range, Indy will be even more powerful tho. T7 Pepsi have 7s rudder time, so 9s doesn't sound so bad IMO. -
Urgent! need a suggestion on Captan Skills, Mogami and Bismark
Panocek replied to RedOnly's topic in General Discussion
If ability to damage up to 32mm plating is "situational" then I don't know what's reliable in your book -
Which silver ship YOU have played do you consider the most OP?

Fletcher, because she have everything except Russian speeds. Fiji, great firepower, smoke, heal and hilarious maneuvreability. -

That way you keep HE penetration and lose only one percent of fire chance. -

>11s >terrible Aoba have decent torps, camo, armor, and speed advantage. Pepsi have only hefty broadside salvo, which can be quite punishing. -

AFAIK stock T7 Pepsi guns (fictional 8"/50) have no improved ricochet angles -

Well, SuperFreedomShells arrive with Baltimore and Des Moines. Current upgraded Pepsi/Nope Orlean/stock Baltinope use "regular" 118kg AP shells. T6 Pepsi keeps her fictional 8"/50 guns tho -
So far none of the missions found, but I'm not interested in generic battleboats to the extreme, just like French cruisers
-
Shoot fast and sail even faster. Every DD gun will be underwhelming in terms of killing battleships, unless broadside of all-or-nothing armored BB is available. Then AP all the way. Assist more concealed DDs in capping, but don't enter cap yourself, act basically as cruiser. Highlight of the line is IMO Kiev, Khaba is powerful, but after repeated nerfing she isn't as much fun to play. Not really. HE against DDs and angled everything, AP against broadside cruisers and battleships. Against fatter DDs showing broadside AP is an effective option too.

If WG bias premiums, game will need overhaul
Panocek replied to KarmaQU_EU's topic in General Discussion
At release Derpitz was only BB in game with torps as "unique gimmick" and unhittable citadel. When Bismarck arrived, Bis had advantage of AA, hydro and secondary range (7km vs 4.5km). Some time later Derpitz got secondaries buffed. And Derpitz never needed buffs in first place. So yeah, at first Tirp was "better" for potatoes who wanted to fulfill their rush b needs - they had fast, idiotproof BB with torps on board. Add to that historic background of fleet in being, Deutschland Stahl syndrome and here you have the most popular premboat Besides, neither you nor me can influence game development. As players we can quit, refuse to pay or abuse WG quackups to the fullest. -

Lo Yang loses turret and lack long range high damage torps like Benson to get "merely" hydro, so on paper she should be balanced Besides, if one decides to spend money on something, getting the most of their buck is rather normal. So if you want premium boat, you want it to be good. Bonus points if she have historical background. If you want to buy a car, why you would buy one known for crappy performance/maintenance when for the same cash you can buy roomier/more reliable/better looking/whatever?
