PT, LS, SE, CE, TAE, BFT, SI, nicely complement multipurpose character of Freedom Destroyers
-
Not having best-in-tier penetration is actually a boon, you don't overpen as much with these slow-ish superheavy shells.
-
But why DmgCon2 instead Propulsion2? MBM3 and TTM3 are both viable, simply use what you fancy the most - torpedoes or main guns.
-
And here I am, actually having fun playing Charles Martel even in T10 heavy matches Though that might be tied to ship being exceptional. But then I somehow like Hipper, so I dunno, working as intended?

Hightier cruisers with plating of 25mm can shrug off DD and CL sized HE if its without IFHE perk. And nearly all cruisers besides lowtier protected/armored ones have all or nothing scheme, though no idea why WG gave 25mm amidships to Furrytaco/Aoba/Myoko. Not that I'm complaining, as these are fine boats to boat around

Fiji is "OP" because she is first ship in Tea Kruzers line that actually fixes lack of firepower - light cruiser, with standard 8s reload with only 8 (if not less) 152mm guns... Just no. Also she finally gets actually useful range, unlike earlier ships. ANd British cruiser citadel plating is actually on par with other nations at the same tier. What makes them vulnerable is rather exposed citadel and underarmored hull - all cruisers are vulnerable to small caliber HE and only from tier 8 onwards they actually can shrug off 203mm shells when ricochet can occur

Ah yes, Yuro/Eurobeat ship reviews. They are worth watching, both for lols and to get few ideas to utilize in boats, as game mechanics are universal. Older clips like one about Clemson are tad outdated tho. Should you ever made it to American heavy cruisers, which as of now start with tier 7 Pensacola*, Indianapolis review can be helpful, as she have exactly the same gameplay style as regular CA. It might give an insight about 203mm armed cruisers in general *USN cruiser line is scheduled for a split into light and heavy cruisers, presumably in first half of this year

AP is not magical solution to all world problems. Phoenix utilizes rather small caliber guns by ship standards, that being 152mm. AP shells of that caliber can more or less reliably penetrate main citadel armor of a cruiser when presented broadside at short to medium ranges, but battleship, especially if angled will be near immune. Thats why you use HE shells against angled and/or too thick skinned shells. In options (Settings->Controls) enable "detailed ribbons" this will give you information what happens to the shells, whether they shatter on too thick armor, ricochet due to too steep angle or overpen.

Broken mechanics-Shells go deep underwater?[solved]

1. Fred was turning into you, raising citadel on his left side 2. Shells went low, barely skimmed the water and bypassed higher than usual main belt. 3. Deck penetration at 10km is impossible even with "superheavy" shells, which NO doesn't even have. AFAIK USN 203mm cruiser AP needs to be past 16km to stop ricocheting from deck to start with. Even more so as deck was angled away Working as intended American AP Mark 19 shell, "non superheavy" used in Pepsi/NO/Indianapolis/stock Balti have rather standard ballistics, hardly enough to justify calling them "high arc". Unless you would call IJN 203mm guns "high arc" too and only tad worse than "supersonic" German and French 8inchers. Des Moines/upgraded Balti AP Mark 21, famous "superheavy" is on slow end though. -
I'd vote for German battleboats, not so much for their secondaries as for their overall protection. Bonus points for secondary specced Gneisenau/Scharnhorst for use in Scenarios, IMO only place where you can consistently utilize secondaries And then Narai gets taken out...

Back in the day Montana for some reason had 29mm thick deck on entire length, not exactly helpful against Yamato boomsticks

Aigle marathon, how's your progress been so far?

Tashkent and Khabarovsk are +-139m long. 8 guns of hard hitting 139mm/50, which should fix long range performance of these guns. -
Standard Sys Admin Answer #112 "Well, it works for me"
-
Gnevny class, faster and more maneuvreable than Aigle without engine boost and not that far from top speed with it active. They have only 4 turrets, but with more comfortable firing angles, gunnery wise its heavier alpha vs higher velocity tradeoff. And chinese ones have actually useful torpedoes, nicely matching 700m better concealment.

Battleships are reduced to targets

Yea, alongside with 11% accuracy buff on unique to them Main Battery mod. -
On other hand ballistics are comparable to Freedom Dual Purpose Mortars, turret firing angles are all over the place and you can feel beard growing when waiting for these turrets to turn. If you complain about her speed, achievable only with Speed Boost, I guess you haven't meet russian gunboats... And these can consistently hit things at range.

I've got her yesterday, she's far from outstanding but workable. And I wonder about making universal captain from that Jean-Jacues-Hodore guy for her, fitting baguette cruisers (Charles to be specific) as well. PT, EM, AR, LS, Demo, CE, AFT? -
Ship is okay, good base range and AFT is bordering into useless with her already meh ballistics. Baguette engine boost is noice, torps can hit hard but are tad situational. EM might be mandatory for this boat, with MBM2 turrets barely are able to keep on target, switching sides is rather long term operation. For a freebie, fine addition for occasional daily
-
It would be tad difficult to upscale them when they use literally the same guns. The same could be said about Hipper-Roon-Hindenburg. So buff Hindenburger? Or Nicholas->Gearing
-
Nah, he only wants win button with CV icon on it
-
Except 100mm citadel plating is common citadel plating, especially on IJN cruisers. And even russian stronk 130mm need to be uncomfortably close to punch through that.

Turret destroyed multiple times in short time - latest patch bug?
Panocek replied to Hades_warrior's topic in General Discussion
Rather Rep have quite brutal penetration on her guns, outdoing even Yamato -
Inability to hit DDs work both ways, as you can safely launch torps with friendly DD in front. Good for inducing heart attacks DW torps also seem to ignore shipwrecks, but I'm not quite sure about that Though I had that backfire once, when someone in Fubuki saw "white torps" did no harm to him, he launched them with me in front... with predictable consequences
