Thing is, only somewhat reliable source of DoT I can think of for current CV are USN dive bombers, preferably tier 8+ as they drop two bombs per plane. And mayyybe Tiny Tims. USN and IJN torpedoes on other hand notoriously cause engine/rudder breakdown instead flooding, so that would be one way of triggering DCP on BB -
Torpedo reload upgrades give much larger gains- almost 30s compared to what, 0.5s on main guns? You can always mix Torpedo Reload mod with BFT to get little of both worlds

Well, after playing only few CV battles today I still was able to do more than harm to the enemy team, all Midway battles were 150k+ in damage, though unable to carry sorry arses refusing to cap bases. Shokek (top tier though) was more than able to get pummel singled out "AA" ships. On other hand I've witnessed utter decimation of some CV players, so yea, if there wasn't skill gap there is certainly one now- 43 replies

I've got Leander, paired with Omaha twins seems to work just fine. I've yet to toss them at stage 2 though. I've noticed Dorms are AFK leveling service, also (for now) combines well with trading fuel for food as I need that fuel spent for Anshan crayons -

That much I've figured out. And I guess its good drop rate for common boats in 1st set of missions is quite high - I've kept purging ships I've got due to being obnoxiously loli, then got to stage two - two fleets needed. So go back to stage 1, farm some more, get Fushun from that minigame thingy and few shipyard orders later 2nd fleet assembled. And got [edited]handed to me as DDs with mixed CA don't exactly shine in AA department Then tutorial mention about "commisions" or expeditions, so again farm some more boats as with barely two fleets you can't set them for expeditions and play missions Tale of a derp basically -

So I've installed Azur Lane out of boredom and after few hours, I must say its quite fun, even in heavy in loli department. That and how rare is "very rare", as I've rolled Enterprise on 3rd or 4th ship construction? -

Thing is, on tiers 8-10 flak dmg was lowered by about 25%, while on tiers 1-7 it was reduced TO 25%. Which makes T8 CV against lower tiers hilariously immune to flak, while T6 CV player, used to ignoring flak will headbutt wall. At supersonic speed. -

If you mean AL one, I don't see reason why not. If you mean using Midway captain on Enterprise, again, why not.

Except all ships got dps buffs, not only Minotaur and co. Before hotfix shoving planes into blob was quick way of losing them, now even more so. And not due flak saturation, which will still happen but sheer unavoidable dps. Airstrikes can be dodged too with surprising effectiveness at times. Unless you're speschul WG customer, whenever you got CV in battle WG employee barges in and holds you at gunpoint to stop you from evading planes

And yet any other class can strike others without impunity, by use of islands, smoke or sheer range. CV needs to get close and familiar with planes which tend to get shot down. I don't see shells being shot down I know, but 50% dps buff for most AA able ships is straight up overboard, especially as AA weak ones got actually nerfed - dps is still inconsequential unless you're dedicated to lose planes, while flak lost plenty of its potency, especially at mid tiers.

Except your baBBy can safely farm dmg without yoloing into the crowd. And when you tack spotter plane you don't even have to move from the spawn

Except this time dps value is completely overboard compared and obliterate planes without build nor player input. To give you rough idea: Pre 0.8.0 Minotaur had 118+315=433dps at 5km, Midway aircraft hp was 1910/2070/1730 for fighters, DB and TB respectively Post 0.8.0.1 Minotaur have 1292dps at 5km + 12 flak bursts, 1540 each. Midway aircraft hp - 1660/2160/2060 for rockets, DB and TB respectively. And planes spend way more time within AA range to drop their payload

Now AFK Minotaur who forgot to disable AA is one of the biggest CV threats

When you click F or spend ordnance, time to reach said "high altitude" was increased from 3 seconds to 10. Pre hotfix it wasn't uncommon to lose planes due to intense AA. Now? even average AA can kill whatever is returning to base.
