Still doesn't make it any less crappy. Doesn't bother me though, as I divebomb and TinyTim my way through. Air camo buff kills IJN TB stealth spotting though.

Midway already suffered massively in aim time department for virtue of having 6 torps, and even with that amount of aerial duds they were and even more so will be the most useless Midway strike option Midway aerial duds already had hilariously bad flood chance, while landing more than 3 torps required BB sized target alergic to WSAD keys, RNGesus approval to not spawn flaks on your way as you're waiting for aiming

There are always exceptions, but "generic" is common enough to start with them. And in case of Cleveland, citadel barely sticking out and being small might have something to do with not eating citadels left right front and center. Which was extra top kek back in the day when WG broke underwater AP behavior when they fixed "ricochet off citadel deck deals citadel damage" bug. Odinburger citadel is somewhat low, but middle of it being overmatchable by any shell bigger than 85mm AP doesn't help there With AP bombs against cruisers you want to drop them late, when bombers exit their dive, thus bombs hit ship at an angle, reducing chance of overpen. If you overdo with late bomb drop though, they might ricochet off

Generic "32mm high tier BB, 25/27mm high tier cruiser, 25mm mid tier BB, 16/19mm mid tier cruiser" will do the trick. Deck thickness doesn't matter unless your shells overmatch it, as ricochet mechanics render "plunging fire" nonexistent in this game.

Projectile catches ammunition magazine within its detonation blast, which ignores armor plating - after all, no ammo is stored outside yet ships explode. Damage is dealt, presumably some sort RNG is added to save from explosion to discourage "ammo sniping" (see War Thunder), if ammo hitbox reaches zero - you get 10 anti detonation flags. Detonation is guaranteed instakill. Single DD round can detonate enemy warship, so why not torpedo, even aerial one

If anything rework made me to rebuy Ranger and Lady Lex, also pre rework I had pleasure of playing Hiryu, despite everything pointing towards her to be stinker. Shokek purchased shortly before 0.8.0 and already halfway through towards Hakuryu

I'd suggest starting even further away, at 8km, so when planes enter AA they are already in position. Add to that superior* speed and quick get in-get out TB run is your modus operandi *until Teaplanes arrive

CVs you can consider "fun and impactful" from tier 8 onwards, with Lex and Shokek suffering from standard issue, Tier 8 Matchmaking mk.1. So yea, tier 10 is actually balanced and fun, albeit expensive to run. Tier 6 at least can be used in Operations

It certainly does matter - DD guns noticeably lack oomph to dispatch bomber boats. With Freedom battleboats being somewhat handicapped on the matter -
At first I wanted to suggest bumping T7 ops into T8, but then anyone who purchased tier 7 premiums with Ops in mind would cause significant emotional event on the forums, me included So enabling T8 CV participaing in T7 ops would be easier solution. And when we're at it, remove nation/ship type limit from Hermes/Cherry, but to give incentive to play "proper" ships, run repeating challenge alongside Ops. "Do I want to play Cleveland for that +50% exp bonus or grind Hipper... decisions, decisions"
