Let me rephrase - how are you going to balance tier 5-6 grade gunpower on tier 8+? Keep in mind Ognevoi in attempt to turn already uninspiring tier 6 into tier 8 received newer guns DP turrets, quint fish launchers and all the consumables. And final result is still crap. Neustrashimy takes all that, top notch concealment, zombie heal and even then is merely okay torpedoboat you can easily replace with any other DD. For gun duels, even Yugumo gives her run for her money, let alone other "torpedoboats" like Fletcher/Gearing/Halland that happen to pack some meaningful guns. Merely adding "no nonsense torpedo boats" in era where even "torpedoboats" can tenderize your face with guns will merely result in useless ship. Rearranged machinery, better fire control, electronics etc means little for the game - case in point, Forrest Sherman. It took WG magic no-air-drag shells and SAP rounds to not come up with crippled Gearing knockoff. Three barrels reloading in 1.5s throw the same amount of ordnance as six barrels with 3s, Gearing clearly outclasses Sherman in torpedo power and usefulness while having much faster and more agile hull, while DPM provided by SAP ammo forced WG to nerf concealment considerably. Only way I can think of you could render your "torpedo" line as not-useless would be giving them SAP ammo as high damaging shell to compensate for lack of barrels and lack of reload. And then SAP ammo I'd love to see on RU destroyers in first place, as their "AP" rounds are literally called SAP

While Storozhevoi '43 certainly could be unique one-off premium, aren't most Russian destroyer classes already present? Afaik only Storozhevoi class itself is missing, which in turn are modified Gnevny class, with no gameplay relevant updates. And just looking at Ognevoi, you will need one lot of gimmicks to make destroyers armed with 4 not exactly fast reloading guns and 2x3 fish launchers relevant past tier 7, or at least not Tromp tier bad. Same story with USN missing few destroyer classes of their own - without actively trying to differentiate them, you'd get essentially the same ship as ones you have already. Hightier Pan Asian destroyers already have that issue.

That is the reason I lowkey want GG. I don't need another 6* caster, but I do like her backstory as well her OST. Slightly obsessed author also have some charm I guess EDIT Tossed 20 single pulls after test driving pink cat in event stages... and got three 6* - Fartooth, dupe Schwarz and finally GG. 5x 6* and only one dupe within 90 or so pulls -

Actually Hermes is bigger concern for air traffic, given absolutely generous amount of planes throwing ordnance towards your general postcode. And against dive bombers you can't do much in terms of evasion. But I certainly do like sense of scale on Cherry Blossom, having this feel of actual all out naval engagement due to sheer amount of in the air, both planes and shells both parties are exchanging -

IIRC back in alpha there were shallows where only DDs could cross, reintroducing that should be easy enough?

Well, I've dropped two more 10pulls and got Rosa I guess I'll hold onto my pulls, only 230ish left. Might try to snipe Horn, then till-first-6* on GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN banner most likely? I do have 80something mails in reserve, but also have 20k fuel to burn, so haphazardly assembled exp/trust team is blitzing through 12-4 as we speak All in all did 50 pulls and only event ship so far was Zed16 And in few minutes AK ends their maintenance with pink and gold cats to yoink. EDIT 50 pulls into and lost 6* to Gnosis -

Early attempts to pull a broomhandle went not as planned and I've run out of coins -
Big question is, whether two separate studios will start making ship models, or Lesta will continue doing them and sending files to EU company. That or both studios will alternate production and exchange files to speed up new ship releases. Balance wise, I suspect Russian ships might see some nerfs as EU team no longer will have to pamper bleeding Ru market. It is certainly a possibility Sevastopol will be last Russian ship released in a looong time. Whether events will take a different, less grindy turn, remains to be seen.

Carriers of old were prime salt farmers as well. Torpedoboat kept unchecked will cause some quality buttsore as well, so will cruiser player enjoying his island privileges.

"if you are not potato" is already ingredient for any ship to be a major pain in the assets to fight against. given CV hull have +-90 planes, both strike and fighters in 20min timespan, 134 kills from two of these aren't going to pose a major dent on their reserves. Obviously, you can have peculiar specimen who manages to lose all strike aircraft while forgetting to deploy fighters, but you also can have opposite.

Except making "fun" games is so 20th century. Maybe first decade of 21st one. If nothing else, success of World of Tanks and all games that followed its trail shows game that provides rollercoaster of emotions through randomness and unpredictability is better, as in, more profitable game than one without. The same reasons lootboxes are prevalent - all the stimuli tied to "I'll get what I want this time". No matter how much you will screech about it, success of a game is measured not by praise of the players, but how much money they deposit in your bank account. And both lootboxes and RNGesus so far are the way.
