The same WG doubled turret traverse and shaved third of torpedo reload, probably due to Cossack not selling well enough -
She's just different, not really weaker. Short range radar sharing slot with Hydro, on other hand she have Tea grade heal, which may or may not help her in surface combat.

Still, high altitude interceptor pressed into dive/torpedo bomber role is questionable at best. It was done in history (P-47, P-51) but these planes at least had provisions and load capacity for extra ordnance, unlike TA-152. One might guess WoWp team did their homework and might provide WoWs with knowledge/designs/ready models of "would be" naval strike aircraft. On other hand, GZ could have second "loadout" of planes, tied to separate hull, which would give her basically Kaga treatment - lots of lowtier planes or few hightier ones to choose from. Or (extra unlikely) downtier GZ to tier 6, where 109/Stuka would be right at home -
One thing that baffles me, why old "pre rework" maps aren't in game. Islands of Ice alone was reworked what, 3 times? While each of them IIRC were viable and fun in their own way maps Thats already 3 extra maps with 0 effort. Maybe MINOR island tweaks here and there Also bring back lightning theme from old Northern Lights - aurora borealis as main light source.

UK CVs dive bombers due to low-ish HE pen on bombs should gain a lot of traction the higher tier you go as more and more ships turn towards all-or-nothing armor. Even then you need to pick targets kinda carefully though

Main difference is 5s reload, better rudder shift for KGV vs better(ish) AA, access to Hydro, USN AP ricochet for, well, AP shells but one heal less (2 base, 3 premium, 4 premium+SI). For generic HE slinging, KGV with that extra reload is more than adequate. With DoY you can actually try to put AP shells into good use, blapping angled cruisers and occasional BB. Nelson have, shockingly enough, citadel above waterline, so any sort of broadside tends to hurt. Her "reinforced" 32mm amidship lets her shrug off non Yamato class ordnance though. That and while she have lol heal, said lol heal have LONG reload time, so if things get interesting enough, you might not live long enough for another heal.

Being in line with "community" is one thing, defeating the very purpose of CV rework with nerfhammers, necessary or not due to how shallow said rework is another

By purchasing anything CV related you basically agree with mess WG made with this rework and blanket nerfhammer in hotfixes, instead toning down specific ships.

Word you're missing is "working as intended" On topic of AA, WG is notorious at times to create their own "refits" of ships in regards of AA whatever they see fit. That and chances for "developer interaction" on EU forums are extraordinary small -

Considerable hole in squadron's formation can happen if you're not weaving left and right constantly, I had few cases of simply checking phone for like 2 seconds when *wild Minotaur appears* and squadron lost about 9k hp to flak, which was 1/3 of hp buffed Midway DB

"Traps" in shape of AA ambushes are rare, nonetheless still possible. Discovering cruiser location by sudden explosion and someone smoking/burning is not that uncommon on other hand.

I'd lean towards Nelson for her derpy looks, meaty 3x3 406mm and tea grade heals. And she is free (sort of)

As last man standing I doubt AA was in pristine condition. That and TB are most survivable due to magic 30% damage reduction when in attack mode. Type of attack planes that should be more than avoidable in Minotaur unless ninja island caught you Did I mention Minotaur lacking DFAA?

Yea. T10 CV can carry out single attack in said cruisers at expense of entire squadon. And since you can't spot them without someone, somewhere getting shot only way to "l2p" is to ignore that part of the map. Which becomes an issue if there are three or more of them DDs don't "enjoy" constant, unavoidable hp loss every second on top of expected shelling simply for being spotted by Wooster/Minotaur

Ships can't deal damage to planes without revealing themselves. But due to 3rd hotfix, plenty of cruisers have aerial detection equal or shorter than max AA range, which enables lets say, Atlanta, Worcester and Minotaur to disable AA, wait till planes are well within AA range and open fire (often with DFAA up) for maximum plane casualties, especially as rendering delay is still a thing. And obviously you're not going to spot them "for teammates" without bleeding your own aircraft.

And people overestimate SHS effectiveness. And no, having SHS shells doesn't give improved ricochet angles, as after all NC, Iowa class and Montana use SHS AP Mk 8 projectile without improved ricochets. On other hand, Pensa, Nope Orlean and Indy use "regular" AP shells with gimmick ricochet rules and they can brutalize cruisers just fine. Dallas somehow keeps 5km secondaries, compared to 4.5km on Pepsi, NO, Indy and Helena while keeping 5 gun/broadside. CA secondaries have quite higher reload, 4.5s compared to 6s on Dallas/Helena though. Graf Spee have quite meaty by cruiser standards secondary loadout, hampered by 4km base range -
From Richy onwards, French don't have battleships. They are battlecruisers in pretty much all aspects - no armor, good speed and maneuverability mated with BB grade main guns. And somehow I find mine Richelieu VERY accurate and consistent, with only drawback being lack of overmatch against some cruisers on her 380mm PewPewKanones.

Yep. And quite the behemoth of a series by now. *happy gas mask noises* Also realized I have more carriers than actual planes now... And quick equip menu already proved to be a trap, sending Hiryu/Soryu with Enty/York planes on 8h commision -

I've highlighted source of your issues. Besides, with lowpen HE bombs you're stuck with molesting ships without any sort of reinforced decks, which at mid tiers are mostly cruisers and US BBs

That is why you use AP bombs to ship on cruisers and odd German BB
