Demo gives +5% fire chance for bombs, Kaga bombs have 50% IIRC. 30% or 33% against tier 8, 25/27.5% against tier 10, you be the judge.

Secondary hull with Me109s and Stukas in "Kaga config" could work, or downtiering to tier 6, where GZ historical plane complement would be perfectly in line with other CVs. And she would see use in Operations... but alas, WG is WG and keep doing WG things

Saipan uses TiTs, Enty HVARs, Lex have both (and more HVARs) Enty/Lex torps are straight up superior to Saipan/Midway Enty uses 6xAP bombs, Saipan 4xHE bombs, Lexi 6xHE Except there isn't a case where Saipan is better. She has HE bombs, but thats bittersweet after having to work with her tiny squadrons. Basically get Implacable and see if you can live with her reserves, if yes than you might be able to stomach Saipan. Enty have AP bomb flavor and IIRC some... interesting plane handling with little to no accuracy penalty. Kaga brings HE flavored bombs and lulz amount of planes, Graf have at expense of equally kek torpedoes.

Get regular CV, then decide with your wallet. Tier 4 and 8 have so extremely different playstyles its not even funny.

Then you have glorious catapult fighters, killing as many planes as they have in their own squadron. 3/9 is manageable. 3/6, not so much.

If we tie time spend in battle deplaned to "learning from your mistakes", then Saipan would be the best, as her lack of reserves doesn't allow any brainfarts. Opposite would be Kaga, obscene amount of (fragile) planes, but even with them, you will get deplaned FAST in T10 MM. GZ and Enty have normal sized squads and reserves, both use rather skill sensitive AP bombs, former have absurdly fast planes and laughably bad torps, Enty seems to be basically Lexington with AP flavored bombs

Saipan is overgimmicked by tiny squadrons with eternal replenishment time. Enterprise have AP bombs and is generally superior, but as any ship, she is only as good as guy behind the (steering) wheel The line you would be the most familiar with. I suggest investing into tier 6 and practice carriers there to start with...

GZ have rather... speschul torps - 4500dmg, 35kts, 6.7km, 25% flood chance (Enty/Lex have 52% in comparison) attack run on 3 planes, 9 in squadron, 14 total

To quote certain youtuber about Battle off Samar: play the game "guess the carrier" Considering they are often bigger than battleships, its not bad of a concealment. And with exception of tier 6, slowest one clocks 33kts, so unless you have angry Kebab in pursuit or other high speed cruiser, keeping opposition at arms length is an option.

And yet no matter how hard I focus on AA, it still can't shot down shells sent my way. And those, unlike planes are actually unlimited, not having some wonky respawn timer.

Still would be easier to downtier GZ and give her historical complement of planes without any excessive gimmicks, she also would see use in T6 Ops... Kaga and Shokek also uses ahistorical planes, though you consider them "late war upgrades"... Again, Kaga could be fine and balanced T6 CV without resorting to throwing crap left right center and diagonal, while B7A could be used on Hakuryu instead Shokaku But as prem CVs hit the store, any changes to them are... unlikely.
