Shokek from my experience is the best for uptiering due to the fastest and sneakiest TB with AP bombs can and will citadel T10 cruisers lacking DFAA and or finger to press it. With proper (ab)use of dmg reduction from attack runs as well island cover you can keep picking on T10, though casualties will eventually follow, especially Yamato as she have actually the best short range AA for farming returning planes. IJN rockets are actually fine for cruiser bashing as they have 28mm HE pen and cruisers are big enough to land most rockets on point

Torpedo arming distance is function of torpedo arming time and torpedo speed. So if you tack TA to improve speed, distance is going to increase.

Playing inferior CV line, incapable of killing important ships winning. IJN CVs are all about molesting battleships and occasional cruisers. USN are all about doing the same and then nuking DDs for the win. And seeing 48k avg dmg on her I can't comment otherwise than "L2P" I'm afraid. Go back to Ryujo and earn your torpedo lessons there

17. Sector reinforcement only affects DPS, not flak and increase is rather small - 25% on cruisers and BBs, 50% on DDs. Due to Sector being % based, on ships with crappy AA it will have about as much effect as pissing into hurricane. On other hand, on Minotaur and other AA powerhouses specced for AA, it can get quite drastic. Manual AA skill description is misleading when it comes to effect. States "+20%" effectiveness to Sector DPS, yet in expanded tooltips it doubles (25%->50%) on cruisers and BBs and goes 50%->80% on DDs. But whether it gives as much bonus is anyone guess. 18. AA mechanics is automated to the extreme, options pretty much end at selecting Sector fire, speccing captain for AA, finding the biggest shrine for RNGesus to pray for so flak may spawn in right places and CV player being dummy as well good ol WSAD hax to minimize dmg received. Scharn AA is focused on long range and short range "revenge" AA, with mid range, which often does most of the harm being 10/10 joke 19. Wrecks are solid and they provide about as much cover as you see, Deepwater torps from Pan Asian and Asashio seem to ignore wrecks tho even if wreck is sinking and would catch torp normally. 20. Not really. Scharnhorst sisters are somewhat unique in their combination of okay firepower, top notch armor (per tier), secondaries and torps for extra giggles. Yoshino, or Azuma 2.0 at tier 10 for coal might come up similarly, depending what WG will do to citadel placement, as she is confirmed to have rather meaty torpedo complement to match 310mm guns, though I expect her to be long range sniper than close and personal ship. Nelson is fine Big Seven, but she have VERY exposed citadel, so any sort of showing broadside doesn't end well for her, even magic british heal can't patch citadels as much. Jean Bart is IMO superior to all T9 battlecrusiers due to having, well, actual BB guns. Granted, overmatch options for 380mm guns are kinda limited, but still better than 305mm on Alaska/Kron/Azuma. And with Engine Boost JB can keep up with the rest and Richelieu class are damn nimble for a BB. Also having one of the best AA in game doesn't hurt. 21. Other clans or at least barging into their TS/Discord would be an option. And unfortunately, most people prefer to play high tiers because it gets dull being small fish all the time. Add to that surprisingly lax economy for T10 and no wonder T10 became most played tier in game. Repair/maintenance cost reduction years ago, introduction of premium paints for purchase for T10, turning them from credit sinks into fully fledged premium ships in terms of gains, flood of increasingly hilarious credit modifiers and well... you end up where we are. And regarding randoms, I've made my peace long time ago with Randoms are not about battle of skill, but battle of ineptitude. And team with more of it, wins defeat.

Grozovoi/Kebab captain, they usually go for AFT for open water shenanigans. IFHE on DD guns are less obvious pick than on CL, as you get "only" cruisers to pen and then quite a number of them gets 30mm amidship, out of reach even with Russian Bias mk.130 with IFHE Tashkent have just under 10s shell flight time at 15km, so at 18.7km I'd expect no more than 13s. If you can live with Wooster or Des Moines w/ range upgrade, you should live with that as well. -

Don't think so its a bug anymore, just case of working as intended. Just had case of wiping entire Lex DB in an instant, but after rewatching replay I think its just case of flak combined with +200% bonus from DFAA on derpstroyers after all, they use the same guns as everyone else and in this case, volunteer to not even try to avoid flak. Okay, or maybe not. Another rewatch and squad got wiped BEFORE I've found DFAA key so either replay sync pls or bug or working as nintendo. First flak hit for 10.5k dmg and 2 plane kills, 2nd wiped squadron about 1s later? -

Being a potato aside, T8 ships suffer from T8TM matchmaking, so even if you will manage decently in her, it most likely will be exercise in futility and rage. That and she doesn't have good range to do *something* if green team isn't willing to get close(r) and personal and most definitely, doesn't have AA so you will be prime target for any carrier, more than happy to share flying love with you. Or rather, "meta shift"

This, this and more of this. If you want to purchase something, purchase premium account and play silver ships good old fashioned way. And should you get yourself tier 10, for 5k doubloons you can purchase premium paint, which turns T10 of choice into basically premium ship economy wise. Wichita is meh, just get silver Baltimore, especially as Fly Strike Win gives perma camo for her (and US CA line in general). Alaska is battlecruiser/large cruiser, which is acquired taste I'd say. Big, but not big ENOUGH guns to actually matter, while ship is big and clumsy AFAIK T9 Freemiums after Missouri earn only slightly more than T8 premiums, which in turn don't earn much more than T7s. So, while you're not technically wrong by purchasing most expensive to get the most out of her, diminishing returns exist I'd say. Strapping existing premboats you have with credit flags and going after destroyers and caps might solve credit issues. After all, %hp dmg done matter not dmg total, thus, literally, shoot the smallest ones.

Interesting cruisers got unveiled, I guess 13mm plating is going to be CL flavor Kebab with doubled gunpower - 4x quad turrets with standard issue, Russian Bias mk.130, though I guess without speed and with citadel. That and croissant Atlanta... With 15km range and 3s reload Umm, she has 5s reload on main guns, so Gearing outguns her (120 vs 96 shells/min), her guns historically weren't in DP turrets so no AA here and you're stuck with 3x quad fish launchers of Gearing torps -

Graf HAD Stukas with sirens pre rework. Granted, ship had extra speschul history, or you could say, historically accurate as she was released in state real GZ was - incomplete rushed to sales at GamesCon before even bugchecking was complete, not mentioning actual balancing, so she was pulled off sales after like 3 days. Then ship ended with extra BS Armor Piercing bombs and circular drop pattern after multiple attempts to "rebalans" her. Then rework and she ended where she is now.
