    Regular pens, be it AP, HE or SAP are 50% recoverable by default. And you're rather unlikely to score citadels with DD caliber guns

Gap in damage output between CA and CLs start to diminish while retaining superior AP option All BBs besides Kansas are 27kts+ making them flexible enough to react, also universally have range and at least 25mm overmatch Akizuki exists as CL-in-DD-slot So unless you get an idea of grinding torpedoboats, RU/FR gunboats or large cruisers (well, Cherbourg) in Operations, pretty much ships should be valid picks? And that part doesn't change, as no one sane would bring Fubuki, Vaquelin or Graf Spee with intent of reliably getting top exp in team.

    Two quick games tonight: Massachusetts in Narai - effortless 5* win in 2xT8, 3xT7, 2xT6 team Akizuki in Ultimate Frontier - 4* win because everyone forgot about Raptor, albeit only three ships were left standing in 4x T8, 2x T7 and 1x T6 team Tbh it always was the case
  5. Apparently it was proved economy for "Random Operations" stayed as is, but by playing in full division you get effectively 20% credit/exp penalty

    Here is this preposterous idea of actually bringing DFAA instead Hydro, as bots don't evade flak. Torps aren't that common in Operations, but planes just got major presence in few Operations. Forts always were immune to small caliber AP, Fiji vs Narai would be one perfect example. 203s and bigger should be able to clear targets just fine tho and didn't had issues doing so in PTS?
  7. -Rate up is a lie -there is no pity besides 200 pulls spark in BA -unlike AL, odds of getting highest rarity characters is kinda low and then "rated up" character odds are constantly decreasing as more and more characters join the roster Genshin gacha for all its flaws, you can actually work with and plan ahead. Well, technically you can also "plan ahead" with 200 pulls for spark and then be surprised if character drops earlier

    While Mainz doesn't really have a replacement (well, Mogami/155 with IFHE can reach 38mm HE pen), Bayard isn't really that much better than Chapayev/Mogami or even Cleveland, if you can live with ballistics. Massa secondaries also fall flat in HE pen department, while main guns you can easily improve with NorCal. Akizuki is probably going to be go-to destroyer for Operations, by virtue of having CL grade damage output, lots of hp, emergency smoke, still nasty torpedo payload and best long range AA to at least help a little with air traffic spawning in Hermes or Cherry Blossom.
  10. Technically I am in one club formed by... peculiar specimens of even more peculiar discord server, though interest in that game waned rather quickly, both mine and in that group. I've played BA for something like month or two actively, then it was just log in every two-three weeks to pick up any free pulls sent via mail.

    Its not even "bigger chance" as you simply move pity counter towards next Supercrate at faster pace. They were steering the game in mostly good direction... back in 2015-2018. Then someone got other ideas how to run an already established and promising game. Also higher tier doesn't mean more fun. If anything, quite the opposite as ship lethality outpaces protection, making things more unforgiving when you're caught making mistakes.

    I'm positively convinced you can assemble full team and enter "Random Operation" to get best of both worlds - increased payout and teammates you can yell over voice comms? Only drawback being, you can't minmax ships for specific Operation. But then, given plethora of gud botes for T8 Operations, that shouldn't be an issue anyway

    I see no reason why they wouldn't be enjoyable. Both bit of unpredictability as well opportunity to farm specific ones. Only possible complaint would be shifting focus to T8, which tbh is a good thing, after playing tiers 6-7 for so long. Bonus points for being able to unleash proper secondary BBs as well destroyers class get glorious representative in shape of Akizuki

    Only for citadel hits, which doesn't happen on DD. so we're looking at 396 and 561 respectively. You mean secondary BBs always were a threat should you get detected in a DD, especially at borderline suicidal range of 8km? Then you have "issue" of Schlieffen being dedicated secondary memeboat, trading survivability and guns just for ribbon farming. If you want actual BB than can do secondaries on the side, Preussen or even GK will do. Or Ohio for that matter.

    You mean you, as long term customer can be sold Tirpitz only so many times, while new guy, bored of playing tier 3 for 5th battle probably will just throw that money for you at Wargaming?

    And what are you going to do about it, stop playing? Change is [edited], but WG have quite long history of trying to curb "skilled players" in their quest of achieving 50% WR for everyone. At the same time, why you would want to switch from AP to HE to deal with destroyers unless playing Brit BBs, when overpens deal guaranteed damage compared to HE which can and will quickly saturate DD hull, with final result being roughly the same in terms of damage done?

    Also other thing to add - only cruisers with short range but good ballistics to make use of extra range I can think of are Zao and Venezia. US/UK CA, PA CLs have short range AND mediocre ballistics, so any range extension is probably going to be exercise in futility, than actual battle influence.

    You mean thats how exactly currently the most impactful secondary skill works? AI does have perfect targeting, including lead. But doesn't account for ship maneuvering and shells still take their sweet time to reach target. I'll let you do 2+2 yourself.

    Well, when nearest spotted target is out of range, your DPM is exactly 0 so pick your poison. Preferably by not playing short ranged cruisers, if you can't make them work and/or map doesn't favor you. Besides, reload mod gives only, or whooping 13% reload bonus. Whether 13% is a lot, thats up to you

    Tbh I'd be much more scared of 24x TB squadron from Hakuryu. FDR might drop a lot of fishes, but individually they are rather weak. Hakuryu ones on other hand... Sure, theoretical damage is very much in FDR favor (21*4*4233=355572 instead 24*1*9333=223992), but Hakuryu can consistently plant its torps on any target, while FDR needs battleship sized target to have real hope of landing most of its torps and I suspect this trend would continue for "full squadron attacks" Still, 84 torps in one go is probably going to be sight to see
  24. Musashi was second (or was it Kronshtadt?) Free Exp ship in game, Thunderer was released for coal and like Smolensk, was available for +-1 year before pulled from sales.
