It can be somewhat hard to get good, unbiased look at new game mechanic when all you see is whine noise from guys on receiving end, while guys actually using it are few and far between. Which doesn't matter anyway as WG doesn't listen unless its severe shipstorm. I mean, player numbers are stable if not rising, money rolling from premium carriers sale... Why you would want to kill golden goose?

Keep in mind WoWs developer isn't WG, its Lesta Studio. Granted, they are owned by Wargaming, but that doesn't make them the same as WG Minsk WoT dev team. Same with WoWp.

Which is pretty much RTS carriers and something your standard issue, potato, player Mk.1 had issues dealing with, especially if you throw "skill based" wipes like Strafe. Then there is question of strike aircraft, quite number of them had offensive armament in shape of machine guns or even cannons (Helldivers or B7A). Should they be able to pew pew at planes as well? If so, what of unarmed planes like B5N, which had rear gunners only? What of that feature? So many questions, so little shredders

Sigh... Just because CV have tad over single squadron in reserve extra, gradually drip fed as game time goes on doesn't mean they are unlimited.

Which is something definitely a no-go because old strafing was part of "skill gap" On other hand... Speaking of strafing - catapult/CAP seems to use strafe tracers animation, that alone could be used to make them avoidable mechanic, by well, good ol' WSAD keys instead current "you die". But again, we can't have skill based game mechanics because that increases skill gap

If you make squadrons invulnerable then I can live with planes being unable to spot. After all, in WoT arty shells can't be shot down If you remove plane replenishment, it will hurt average to bad players, even if you give "would be" recovered planes as starting reserve (which in case of Midway, means only 14 rockets, 15 DB and 12 TB extra). Not sure how @El2aZeR, but I find myself with plane casualties rather decreasing, even in T10 heavy games in Shokaku of all carriers.

WG ma już wypracowaną metodykę olewania "fidbaku" od lat, chyba, że dotyczy on gunwoburzy na rosyjskim forum, gdzie developerka urzęduje. Nawet jeżeli europejski personel robi i wysyła sensowne propozycje, opinie etc, szansa, że niszczarka pracuje po drugiej stronie skrętki jest duża. Well, Brits are broken on design level, so "go play Freedom" isn't that bad of an suggestion. smaller squadrons of tough planes: on paper it sounds fine, but that means: -CAP/catapult fighters wipe most of your squadron -plane reserves are in most cases 150% of squadron strength. Add that to small squadron and you have an issue. Rockets limited to 27mm HE pen. On paper it sounds fine, until you realize only T10 cruiser without 30mm deck/amidship is Minotaur. Buffing HE pen isn't an solution due to obscene amount of rockets Auda can put out. On lower tiers, rocket output isn't really that better compared to other nations due to 2 plane attack wing. HE bombs with 32-40mm HE pen - again, anything with armored deck is going to laugh them off. Yuu can still use them to set fires for usually meaningless, fully recoverable damage TB are "bread and butter"... guess which other nation's CV are torpedo oriented and is considerably better at that game while having 30mm HE pen on rockets at tier 10 and AP bombs, finnicky but when applied (and praised RNGesus) correctly they can be devastating.

One heal less, 5s longer reload (so in line with other BB) but gets American Piercing, Hydro and basically doubled AA (324dps@short, 304dps, 6 flak@mid compared to 818dps@short and 579dps, 9 flak@mid). And she get outstanding frosty camoand can accept Dunkek captain from Conqueror, unlike KGV

Which finally started to bother WG as <2% players using one of 4 classes is kinda sign of imbalans I'd argue RTS was perfectly salvageable instead having to come up with putting gameplay on its head and then sideways but whatever. WG doing WG things is a given

I'm pretty sure old RTS carriers with current CV popularity would be even less fun. Yes, they couldn't constantly harass, but had potential to delete something every 3-4min

That one I might actually agree. QE alternate colors look top notch as well. I just find bright-ish green and almost desert tan... misplaced as camouflage on le ship, as its the case on DoY, Wankspite and Cossack while US colors are just shades of gray

Lazo seems like stock Chapayev class with worse reload (9s), so compared to Shchors you lose one fish per side, 1s on reload, 2kts of speed but gain 4k hp and half a kilometer extra range. Not exactly sold on the ship to be honest... Just grab a free Shchors
