I guess key ingredient for CN gameplay quality is lack of players, as most "players" are bots IIRC -
The other game also makes WG economy and progression model almost holy in comparison. Also researchable fire extinguishers and spare parts

Tier 8 on average are pretty well balanced, only Brit T8 CV and BB are... lacking. Edinburgh is okay, but completely overshadowed by Fiji tier lower. Both Fiji and Edinburgh can angle against DD and CL guns. Fiji will fail to ricochet 203mm guns from the bow, while Edinburgh "needs" 240mm or bigger to do the same. 19mm amidship on both can shrug off guns up to 271mm (19*14.3), any bigger will stick. Hightier Brit cruisers and BBs can recover up to 40%hp from single heal, 48% if you add India Delta signal. They also have improved health recovery from citadel hits compared to other cruisers. Still, its rare to make use of all heals due to how notorious citadels are on cruisers, British or otherwise. Well, when everyone gets Concealment upgrade, if you don't have one, you're at disadvantage don't you think? Especially when it comes to detection and its binary "spotted-not spotted" mechanics. WG version of "freedom of choice" when it comes to captain skills and upgrades. Players are free to take obligatory ones Though Brit CLs in terms of captain skills end at 10 points, after securing CE. So they actually have spare 9 to take whatever they want... Which usually means AA skills, as secondaries are useless, buffing torps is questionable, same with reducing DoT damage.

Armor is identical except bow stern being 13mm on Fiji and 16mm on Odinburger. 114mm main belt, 19mm amidship and deck, with center part being 51mm thick. So only armor upgrade is not getting overmatched by heavy cruisers. In return Odin is bigger and clumsier, base camo is worse BUT can more than offset that with Concealment upgrade. Gunnery is identical, AA is slightly less useless than on Fiji.

Except armor is identical, unless you count not-being-overmatched by 203mm guns. But then, Large Cruisers and Henri IV says hi Radar can be useful, especially as it have more range than ship detection, but it can also mean "you implode" whenever you get spotted, as mostly its the red team that is better at focusing targets than green one

You're missing Concealment upgrade. Otherwise its pretty much Fiji with privilege of getting roadkilled by "T10 MM bus", at least gets (in)famous British lol heal

Or you can stack double rudder to reduce rudder repair time to like 6 seconds. And then Engine Boost mod for four and a half minutes of WSAD shenanigans

Dispersion is bane for all battleships, the ones suffering the least from it are IJN and Russians though. Germans have the least consistent guns across the board

Porkland is indeed mighty CA, Sandy awaits with three spares for retrofit of hers. Also I've forgot about Saint Louis and iBucky, as they overslept hard in dorm and are at 109lvl I guess I'll wait for Denver to catch up with her sisters, I guess one can't go wrong with Clevelands. -

No one stops WG from trimming down squadron size. Or applying such drop pattern Haku 12 TB squadron would land no more than 2 torps on anyone with plugged in keyboard If WG have no qualms of turning live server into sandbox, then why the heck not make squadrons unlimited, but on cooldown, lets say 120s? CV player would take off with lets say, TB wing, commits entire squadron to attack run. Any shot down plane would create a gap in torpedo drop pattern, for rockets or bombs it would simply reduce chance of getting hit. It would turn CVs into crap throwing contest, in return go with 0.8.7 AA, Sector thingy and make AA mounts immune or recover with time/heals used

Looking at their attempts it looks more like unorganized goofing around AA than actual attempts. What I do like, it seems to be more "engaging" for surface part. Manual AA skill change might give *something* for crap AA ships, ones with actual AA dps you might be served better without due to long [edited]cooldown. Lack of flak <3.5km seems to have positive effect on returning planes tho So either cut down dps numbers as it stacks now OR let CV players dump entire payload at once.

You still can make decent money with them, just don't expect Missouri tier earnings. On other hand, you have to play EXTRA speschul to go negative in a ship with +20% credit gain and 45k (36k with India Bravo Terrathree) post battle maintenance cost.

1) playing against bots (coop mode), which have halved (if not even less) exp and credit rewards 2) abysmal in game performance 3) spending money on game you've just started playing, though at least you haven't started with purchasing tier 8+ ship... I hope so Yep, totally game fault Now with sarcasm out of the way, game have learning curve, jumping straight into deep waters will only make you drown, financially in this case. Go back to tier 1 and start from there. Seriously. And while there are no famous ships at lowtiers like Yamato, Iowa, Bismarck and what have you, ships with tiers up are increasingly unforgiving both in terms of punishing mistakes in gameplay and economy post battle. That and due to overpopulation of tier 9+, tier 8 ships are basically "hard mode" as of now, notoriously facing multiple higher tiered ships, which can put quite a challenge.

DoY have American Piercing ricochet angles, THE best T7 AA and Hydro. With citadel raise her drawback of one heal less than KGV is also gone, while DoY seems to sit deeper in water, making "raised citadel" not so raised. That and she (as well Scharnhorst) have beautiful arctic camo/remodel, first WG venture into 3d skins for ships IIRC. Dunno if its available for purchase, got one alongside with the ship during 2017 Christmas grindfest

Tier 10 premiums don't have increased credit coefficient like, well, any other tier premiums. All they gain comes from attached T10 premium paint and halved repair costs.

Speaking of PR grinds, 66% on Roon And considering Kinkyberg sisters, just like FurryTacos struggle to wrench MVP from any backliner that isn't Akashi or Vestal, amount of maps is kinda limited to play. That and I should finally focus on one "main fleet" to get past 100lvl instead leveling everyone up to 100. Then there is question who. Clevelands are stronk contenders, followed by Brooklyns, Porkland, Mogami and...? -

Don't forget concealment. After all, if you're not shot at, it means you have infinite hp and thats overpowered
