You get "research points" by researching ship AGAIN. So no, you can't dump line you don't like for free stuff, you need to grind/FXP your way through, play a battle to get points and then you can dump line again -

If I want to play lol tiers, I'd simply go and play them without losing progress to even the mehhiest of mehbotes, as you never know when Wargaming Balans team might strike back. -
Not really an issue for me as I tack Engine Mod on pretty much anything that isn't French cruiser with Engine Boost. And "rudder shift time" is a lie, as its value from end to end rudder position, not from neutral. So with Rudder Mod you're gaining 0.8s on rudder shift. Which still doesn't fix issue of lack of turn radius

Wowsft calculates +-16s shell flight time at 19km, compared to Kutuzov's 15s. Cleveland in comparison would have over 18s

Gave Shokaku a shot, returning planes indeed seem to die less. Don't like 10/15 TB setup tho as you need to spend more time shortening squad. No flak <4km is also nice

Wargaming Game Center by default should automatically update game, if you have disabled automatic updates, you need to "push the button" yourself though.

Except you could set Sector to "expected" angle of attack and when CV commited and was 6km away from you started switching sectors, so as planes fly over you, they would be subjected to full might of the AA. So new Sector is straight up nerf except VERY crappy AA ships, as they can shave %hp away from the squadron

Except rockets are literally using HE warheads, including fire chance. But there is only so much boompowder you can stick into fireworks. And initial impression so far, AA seems to be overall reduced UNLESS you play Pacman and collect flak, as it comes purely from long range, thus can be quite lethal. Even more so with DFAA and +300% rekt.

That doesn't changed. Sector mechanic was changed, AA auras now stack, just like in old times (and was pretty much slashed in half) and flak no longer bothers you when you're closer than 4km -

Check new "dps" values. Glorious sledgehammer balans is glorious and smashed dps on AA cruisers to half or even less - Minotaur went from 260/1400 to 140/533

Reset all the captains already, maybe, MAYBE I'll tinker with MAA if its worth it, though main benefactors it seems to be low AA ships. So definitely no need for it on Minotaur and the like. Enter captain's "personal file", from there you have carousel of all your captains. And you don't need to wait for the game to render ship model -
inb4 odd tiered carriers return and players get to have actual loadout options. "Do I want to go two DB squads and TB or trade TB for ASW? Or maybe replace one DB with smoke/heal carrying cargo planes in case I feel like teamwork?" one can dream
