That is called overpen, AP bombs are capable of that

Considering SC of old gave out 250 flags and premium consumables or month of premium...

AFT is useless until tier 8+, as low velocity mortars with 15km range are going be... good futility excercise actually. I'd go with usual PT-LS-SE-CE and shove EM and BFT somewhere to help with turret traverse and reload, as tier 7 and below despite being "large" have concealment in line with other DDs. Its from Fanta onwards where you might be better served going all out russian, as you also get base speed of 40kts+ and concealment gap increases. And then you have Mogador and Kleber, where you can as well ditch camo completely
-
I have Fanta and despite initial turbulences I've found her to be thrilling and gud bote, but certainly NOT forgiving. AFT gives her meme 15.7km range and she has ballistics to match. Thus concept of moving captain forward to Mogador and maybe Kleber with Trollible being T8 funbote when I feel like playing French DD that saw some actual action

Supercrates are equally rigged in terms of dropping something more useful than 50 anti det flags
-
What if... Hosho is performing the way WG wants her to be and its Langley and Furious that's lagging behind?
-
And here goes funny thoughts of making use of anniversary coupon for Le Trollible and no CVs in Armory either
-
USN cruisers definitely do NOT check "good AA" until tier 7 and even then difference in AA was reduced. You will be bombed anyway That was when carriers had direct control over their hulls

Russian DDs use "SAP" ammo by name. All or nothing armor scheme OP, nerf

What are the most OP premium ships at the moment?

All OP toys are relatively quickly pulled from the store with Enterprise being recent example. In terms of next most OP thing, I'd guess IJN Kaga being one as she no longer have "lower tier planes" disadvantage. But before that, get at least some carrier experience. Otherwise... Friesland is "acquired taste", brutal gunpower to mop up DDs but no torps to quickly dispatch anything bigger and not showing broadside. Alaska is solid ship, I'd steer away from Azuma though. Jean Bart and Georgia are both solid ships Both Haida and Cossack can be absolute bully when contesting caps with concealment and gunpower of theirs, assuming you can make use of them. Kidd doesn't have broken concealment, but have AA, smoke and heal. Le Terrible is arguably better than silver Le Fantasque, but lacks smoke and heal as means to fix your gameplay mistakes. I'd fear competent player more than "overpowered ship" -

Monarch get, so I can stop bleeding fuel for a while... hopefully. Now, as I've picked Neptune out of last two PR ships, I'm actually confused who to put into action and level up a bit, any suggestions? -
Conveniently skipping sentences are we? If it overpenetrated, then probably you had improved ventilation. Worse case, someone got hit by shrapnels, worser, someone got hit by the shell. Worst case, gun breech is damaged. Except BBs are much more reliable at blapping DD than DD can blap BB. And no, we're talking about players who figured out purpose of keyboard and play with their screens turned on.
-
Taffy 3 disagrees with you. If ovepenetrating projectile hit anything of importance, like machinery then ye, damage can happen. Bug guess what? In game AP overpens can knock out guns, rudder and engine, provided they meet each other in the same time and space. So, shaving third to half of DD hp in one go isn't enough for you with current mechanics?

Moskva T shaped citadel can produce funny results with projectiles detonating within torpedo belt on other side of the ship And Hipper class, with hightier Germans in general have completely unreachable citadel at short range due to citadel ending at waterline and kamerade turtleback, unless you overmatch 30mm cit roof on Hipper. BBs already can blap DDs with overpens alone. Making them straight up better than HE is not an answer... FYI, 33% of good ol 406mm on Iowa/Montana would deal 3375 damage on overpen, damage that ignores saturation mechanic, unlike HE. Which deals "whooping" 1881dmg in Iowa case Just NO. And so what you've made "big hole" in the ship, if you didn't hit anything of importance and if hole is above waterline with little to no water intake. Heck, even if there would be flood, such minor hole is way easier to patch than torpedo hit Besides, overpen is precisely the example of overkill - BB guns were designed to kill other battleships, way bigger and way better armored than mere cruisers. So overpens are only natural with such potent guns and there is reason why HE projectiles exist for "soft skinned targets". Precisely what pasta battleboats will use
-
Implacable and RN carriers in general are garbage. Why? I guess all valid gimmicks were already used in USN and IJN ones.
-
What are those supercrates you're talking about?

Weak ships don't sell well on day one
-
I'd prefer to bring odd tiered carriers back into line to fill the gaps and leave "support" as part of ship loadout to choose from.

Meanwhile my pasta collection starts and ends with Gilette err Giulio Though Formi x Carabiniere was 10/kek. Also by description how her skill works... its pretty much magic. Also Warspite retro hinted -
Its not the case whether you like the Moskva, but whether Moskva likes you
-
AFAIK only Americans officially adopted term "large cruiser". And formally there is no "large destroyer" term either, it was coined simply because French, with following Germans and Russians started building bigger and heavier destroyers than competition And there were fleet carriers (main flyboys, like Yorktown, Shokaku, Illustrious class), light carriers (Independence, Ryujo) and escort carriers (Bogue)
-
Moskva would fit into "large cruiser" definition just fine. Maybe not necessarily battlecruiser, as those usually had BB grade guns of the era (Moskva with 406mm twins when). Exeter is heavy cruiser because 203mm, same with Pensacola and Furutaka. Khaba, just like rest of Russian, French or German DD are "large destroyers", filling the gap between destroyers and cruisers.
-
Reaction speed is time between "torps spotted" and "torps hit". Obviously, long range torping, just like any torpedo usage outside of yolo range is relying on enemy to keep sailing straight for enough time for torps to hit. You can launch torps with "prediction" what enemy would do, but in reality landing more than two hits almost always involves enemy to straightlining for quite some time

Pan asian does have few gems in their lineup, notably tier 2 and 4 with substantial sealclubbing potential, tier 6 and 7 are also IMO very good. Issue lies in high tiers - Yueyang was nerfhammered to and Chung Mu was hit by ricochet of said nerfhammer, so she is Fletcher but straight up worse. Hsienyang always was "just worse Benson", so if venturing into PanAsian, then for tier 6 and 7 tops. Brit DDs I find to be average across the board, with exception of tier 8 Lightning - 2nd best concealment on her tier (and hightier in general) combined with solid gunnery makes her almost a bully when contesting caps, even when uptiered. No experience on tier 9+, but requirement of IFHE to make HE work doesn't look promising to me, compounded by worse concealment and bad top speed. Both lines have quick reloading smoke with plenty of charges, making them "least unsuitable" DDs when carriers around.
