To get citadel, you need to arm the bloody shell to begin with. Something remarkably hard to pull off against this thin plate.

Emile Bertin have literally no armor, 13mm plating everywhere, which hilariously makes her ridiculously tanky against BB or even CA guns. Manual Massive AA skill?

Well, French decided to go BIG with their destroyers and they encroach on "small cruiser" territory size wise. Until tier 8 they don't have shell velocity for reliable open water gunnery, thus you focus more on assisting DD proper during cap brawls. From Fanta onwards things change, as you get: -43kts base speed -long barreled guns, fixing ballistics issue and getting serious AP pen buff along the way -concealment gap only extends, making early on solo cap ventures potentially even more lethal

MUCH worse. And aiming time is measured in anniversaries. Basically 2/3rd of damage per fish as well just as much flood chance. And landing all 6 requires Wurst sized target with allergy to keyboard.

Kinda this, torps are more a downgrade over fine fishes Lady Lex provides. They make for noice smoke sweeping tho. For fishing from above, go IJN.

Then there is/would be ORP Orkan ("windstorm"), M class DD which could make a fine tier 9, if existing sister ship Lightning is something to go by.

One bomb per plane, 3 planes in attack wing from Shokek onwards.

German, UK, RU BBs are valid choice for AP bombs and they haven't received nerfbat to dispersion like HE bombs did. RNGesus still can show his middle finger tho, so results can vary between "nothing" and "half cruiser gone".

Shokek will make you "can't be arsed" when you land 3/3 overpen on Tirpitz for some glorious reason And with nowadays randoms quality, expecting anything else than spectacular fail is futile hope

In terms of numbers Swordfishes are about as durable as IJN equivalents from Ryujo, around 1500hp and have only 200-300hp less than Ranger planes. Slow speed makes them eat AA dps for longer though.

That much I know, but just because its the norm, doesn't make it right -
Dank Royal crappines may come from having biplanes, which are SLOW and somewhat fragile, thus she got extraordinarily quick plane replacement times. Silver RN CV line is straight up inferior to what USN and IJN can provide.

If anything, gap between Shokek and Kaga widened, as latter have planes as durable and as fast as the former, while still having top kek reserves.

Only when facing higher tier BBs and even then, few of them are armored enough to ignore cruiser HE. CA with IFHE on other hand get to damage up to 43mm plating, which means USN BBs, Alaska deck as well Uncle Vlad and Uncle Lenin

While both CVs have solid qualifiers for being noob friendly, I'd advise getting silver CVs first. Maybe Ryujo or Ranger and practice in Operations and then see what happens. I'd steer away from silver UK carriers unless you're of masochistic variety or want to try polishing a turd

Going by wowsft, she is kinda flimsy at 25.7k hp, with CE have 2km of stealth torping window. And torps themselves may hit hard, but are slowish at 60kts and have not so sneaky 1.6km detection. Guns don't seem inspiring - 9s reload on 6 guns total of CL caliber, at least range is solid, though ballistics may be wonky. Does have access to Engine Boost for reasons though.
