Which fits into Be it camouflage, hydraulic steering or improved hydraulic rudder. With first two having identical stats, so use whatever you fancy. -
Italian cruisers are intentionally that bad?
Panocek replied to Fede15thPzDiv's topic in General Discussion
How exactly many heavy cruisers have "proper smoke" again? You have one line of UK light cruisers with smoke consumable. That makes what, 5 ships? Out of 80 or more cruisers in game. So "many" isn't exactly good word here. -

HE CA gun because her skill, preferably her own "prototype triple 203 AA gun" (why AA I don't even) Any torpedo launcher, preferably of golden variety as her torp efficiency and stats leaves something to be desired Any AA gun, preferably of golden variety Repair Toolkit and any evasion enhancing items for survivability, +hit items and maybe autoloader if you want to bump offense. -
Took few hours worth of nap... What the hell happened here and who left Yoshanai unattended?

Except WG made npcs at least are aware purpose of W key and sure as hell they don't shy away from danger.

Only when you broadside like certified potato On other hand, NM armored belt is entirely irrelevant, as entire ship is overmatched by 380mm AP and eats HE like there is no tommorow. Dunno how is GC armor layout exactly, but speed and concealment advantage certainly should make her more playable even with equally "all or nothing" layout. Also Iowa, tier 9 have 300mm belt. Doesn't make her any less viable. -

Which applies to NM and Arizona as well. And those don't derp around at 27kts -

Though one might say CAP present may reconsider target selection, making for ULTIMATE AA protection. Shame CV guy most likely will go bother someone else, so not so much saved, as simply someone else takes the shot -
I might be wrong, but "genius" refer to someone extraordinaire. And when (almost) everyone are "extraordinaire" then word "genius" kinda loses on its meaning Unless you mean "extraordinarily speschul"

Dunno, my experience in GTA Online shows 60€ pricetag is no deterrent for idiots to play

Chances of WG actively reducing their income are... slim to say the least.

You could solve that by giving "affected" players both variants, "rebalanced" Kutuzov at tier 8 and tier 9 "Kutuzov 1960" or whatever the year. Same with Belfast. Smoke/radarless WW2 config at tier 7 and current one at tier 8, with HE and all the gimmicks and maybe touched up reload. -

Openly rebalancing premiums, both up and down would solve issues. But then, it would make dangerous precedent of purposefully releasing OPish premium only to "rebalance" three months later. On other hand, by coming up with "global changes" WG already compromised themselves in my book -

Because playerbase is speschul as usual. "I don't want OP ships but don't dare touching my GC/Kami/Bel or I will REEE" -

So, War Thunder way of balancing? if X is overperforming, move it up a tier to face tougher customers and/or increase maintenance costs, so you can keep your OP toy but you will pay for it extra? -
IIRC in one of early CV REEEwork builds DFAA doubled amount of flak, but WG decided it was "too effective" and globally slashed consumable, instead, I dunno, nerfing it to +50% flak on cruisers, while keeping +100% on DDs?

Playing devils advocate because bored: In a game, where you usually aim to have diverse set of "gameplay styles" you WILL eventually end with situation, where one particular gameplay style suits current meta the best. And mid-long range standoffs, where you can remain angled or otherwise relatively safe towards enemies seems to be Russian forte. Same reason why German "brawling" battleships are considered bad, simply because they can't exert their advantages reliably and without one way ticket to the port in first half of the battle. Only option to "remove russian bias" would be completely changing game meta towards frantic short range brawls, where RU high citadel *might* prove an actual weakness, or replace all ships with one, balanced "tier 10", remove all "customization" in shape of upgrades, captain skills, signals and what have you and let players pick/buy/grind ship skins -
Fire Prevention remains VERY valuable on battleships, as it removes single source of fire from superstructure. So anyone aiming at ship center of mass, will have effective fire damage halved, as they can start only one fire on superstructure instead two. For overmatch (ignores ricochet) to happen shell needs to be bigger than 14.3 times armor. Thus, 380mm will ricochet off 27mm plating, used in German and USN heavy cruisers of tier 8 and above (27*14.3=386.1). But 406mm will go through. You can check armor and overall stats for unresearched ships as well, just click onto them and expand appropriate tabs

I'd aim for tier 6 or 7 ships, which you can use in PvE Operations as well. With tier 8 you will be subjected to notorious uptiering, which may or may not cause you to be thoroughly buttsore in your sparking new premium ship and having no clue how to boat And you might be better served creating separate topic, or better yet, making use of forum search as "first premium ship" topic was discussed to death and then some more, before moderators swoops in -

Camrade Smolensk says otherwise Haida of tier 7 premiums is arguably the best due to having solid gunpower and very competitive 5.7km surface detection, with main downfall being her in rather unpopular premium nation consisting of what, three ships? So you can't just plonk existing captain on her for at least some efficiency. I wonder how IJN cruisers manage themselves, using literally the same guns from tier 5 to 9. Or better yet, USN destroyers, using the same 5"/38 from tier 5 onwards Not quite. She needs dedicated captain to get the most out of her, preferably Ovechkin with improved Expert Marksman and Survivability Expert for additional bias. -
And yet its not the players who came up with idea of repeatedly buffing Enterprise who now resides in Balans Heaven, together with Belfast, Kutuzov, Musashi, Missouri and what have you. Why you guys have a knack for adding and then removing famous or existing museum ships? I can imagine Kronshtadt being somewhat important for Russians, as she was actually in construction, so she isn't entirely glorious napkin design
