If rockets would do 300kts base and 350-370kts boost, then F2H or F9F could do. But then, back in REEEwork beta tests Haku TB could break 300kts so... gib?

I guess it has something to do with +-200kts speed they were flying back then was more of a stalling speed than average flight speed.

More like working as intended, as Shokaku, from who I've borrowed planes also have torpedo bracket in port, even on DB. And yet, in actual game its gone Also WG laziness shows up - if two (or more) plane types use the same model ie Shokaku uses B7A for TB and DB, you can't convince game to use two separate models. Not without going back to stock TB or DB module and hampering your in game performance.

On bit more positive-r note, I've managed to get plane remodels working for Hakuryu and Midway, applies to top modules. Haku uses A7M for rockets and B7A for TB/DB Midway got AD Skyraiders for TB/DB Not entirely sure if I want to try changing localization file to get names right, as I'd have to redo that every month May also swap planes for Kaga to give her Pearl Harbor loadout of A6M2, B5N and D3A... once I get around to fix big glowing red "MISSING TEXTURE" on entire ship after extracting files to work with. Try manually navigating to game folder (Steam\steamapps\common\World of Warships) and try to open replay without Steam whatsoever, basically "open with...". That or drag and drop replay file onto .exe

Depends on the Windows wersion, game tries to run x64 client whenever possible so I'd try opening with worldofwarships64.exe

Some progress in the making, started with Midway @Smeggo I assume I have to use "whole" CV package, with hull, secondaries and what else instead "just planes" with PnFMods? Every time I try to trim unneeded parts from plane swap Midway refuses to load -
They also put almost all CV related works on hold and went on breaking the game from below this time

Given chances of WG doing "official" plane swap are about as high as rebalancing Enty and enrolling Yorktown as premium tier 6 CV, player made swap of existing assets should be rather forgiven for not having triple AAA fidelity

Somehow engine cowling is sticking out, as if it was ripped from reworked ones. And with model swap amount of polygons shouldn't matter, so even if you were to replace Hellcats with literal paper planes, as long as model is made correctly and recognized by the game, it should work. In Stuka case, they would be somewhat low poly I guess

Yep. With supernatural elements. And faith in camrade stalin alone might not be enough to take off from carrier with 2/4engine bomber, let alone squeeze one into elevator. Famous B-25 from Dolittle raid made it airborne, but after stripping them from all "unnecessary weights", also were loaded by crane and not expected to return. Not really viable tactic in the long run. Except plane selection for RTS carriers was spot on, with REEEwork WG decided to go speschul on plane picks.

There is difference between fiction and fantasy. And operating not that small twin engine bomber on a carrier is example of the latter.

Once more, I dare you to take off and land in medium bomber on a carrier, and then move it to hangar for maintenance

Landing with naval jets is easy, having tail hook. Taking off... requires brakes. this plane is "B-25 big", very unlikely to shove one under the deck

Except hightier pasta cruisers have not that long 17km range. With Zao grade ballistics, so island abuse is... tricky to pull off, unlike Des Memes.

Zara 150mm belt + 30mm upper hull gives her some tanking potential and reload is inline with what heavy cruisers used to have in this game... Oh the times the only heavy cruiser with reload faster than 14s was Des Moines and introduction of German CA was greeted with "power creep because faster reload" My main pet peeve, besides being completely inane against glorious BBmasterrace is their absurdly long rudder shift, quite effectively denying their overall above average turning radius. -
Tier 9 gets substantial 12gun broadside, while tier 10 get nuts 15gun on a heavy cruiser. 15gun heavy cruiser spewing SAP every 16s would be too balans even for WG... unless its Russian
