Yoshino vs Puerto Rico who wins?
Panocek replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
I think main issue with mining "new" iron and then making steel out of it is contamination of radioactive traces during melting process. Meanwhile underwater steel reserves are, well, already done and can be cold machined into needed shapes without melting. -
Its not like WG have habit of bringing balanshammer when it comes to "adjusting" non Russian ships

Yoshino vs Puerto Rico who wins?

Germonies are major wehraboo power though... And they still have Sigfried somewhere down in the pipeline -
Top speed is next to irrelevant for Henri, acceleration/deacceleration bonus is more important for evasion build she tend to excel at.

Yoshino vs Puerto Rico who wins?
Panocek replied to ________________Morrison's topic in General Discussion
Assuming Yoshino goes balls in and doesn't risk using rear turret, then improved AP angles are of little value. Even going for turret kills won't help you much when Yoshie stuffs PR with torps Using rear turret can cause significant emotional event should PR return the salvo of AP shells. So some timing and mind play may be needed. Both sides AP have more than enough pen to pierce main armored belts, both have all-or-nothing armor scheme, so hits anywhere else will end mostly with overpens, both can't overmatch each other and both can HEsmack each other. Difference, PR can't be (reliably) cit'd. For long range standoffs, Yoshino have accuracy and ballistics. PR have American Piercing, so *might* have easier time punishing any partial broadside available -
Kleber with AFT alone gets 16.3km range, thats more than Khaba ever had. Sustained dpm is lacking tho, so "burning down baBBies" will take even longer
-
You mean guaranteed overpens instead "maybe pens" on upper hull?

But... but... -
Conq AP is in line with Montana in terms of penetration, while short fuse is mixed blessing - reduces chances of overpens through cruiser citadels, but on ships with more elaborate turret layout you risk shells detonating before reaching anything of importance.

What-if captured Wyoming AG-17, outfitted with 130mm quad and twin turrets, as well receiving engine overhaul to push speed past 27kts.
-
More like Mogador/Kleber torps are brought in line with Fanta, who happens to have 1.8km@75kts
-
If you rely on secondaries on any brit BB, you do it wrong to begin with. Thunderer seems to be much better IF your aim is on point AND you can manage glass battleship without lol heal.
-
Probably will get nerfbatted when WG come up with Smolensk 2.0, having additional wing turret per broadside
-
All stats from day one of the ship. Maplesyrup at least provide "recent" stats, bit more relevant when it comes to length contests

Croissant derpstroyers were more of an ambushers, able to deliver uncensored amount of gun love via MBRB, as well had some potential on playing torpedo boats. Especially tier 9 and 10 due to 1.4km detection on torps coupled with 75kts. Using them as open water gunboats is... eehhh, as their sustained dpm is pretty bad, Kleber base HE dpm is equal to Shima at 135k. Khaba, to put into perspective have 182k base. Kleber concealment nerf essentially removes stealth torping window, currently having 1km, post change she will have what, 300m? Bringing her almost equal to Kebab. Speaking of one, this, oh so gently put mobility nerf to Henri Apparently you cannot have fun in cruiser on open waters, go back humping islands

How to play Nicholas & Farragut?
Panocek replied to this_simple_username's topic in Newcomers' Section
Pretty much. Going solo yolo is excellent way to post "noob team" in chat shortly after your death Also reason why divisions are important - you bring one-two imbeciles players you can count to do something, alternatively you can reee at them over VoIP when they don't -

Americans are cap contesters, their slow shell velocity is of lesser issue at short distances, their long lasting smoke also have some "teamwork" utility. DD brawls over caps in first half of the battle are decided based on not DD superiority, but who brought more teammates and if those teammates are capable of focusing fire at spotted targets. -

So you want preferential matchmaking but only for yourself... Game design, swinging player mood from frustration to exhilaration, based on random-ish matchmaking and random elements in game is what actually keep most players in game. Otherwise World of Tanks wouldn't turn WG from backwater postsoviet company into worldwide corporation almost decade ago.

I have so many of them I keep swapping them every so often. And then there is unlocking "paywalled" AL voiceovers via file edit.

Keep in mind internals of napkin ship can be absolute artistic license, as long as it looks "reasonable". Whatever that means for most people whom "shipbuilding experience" at very best starts and ends with model kits I doubt you will find people sufficiently anal to point out "amount of bulkheads is not correct" or "visual thickness of main armor plate suggests its 300mm instead 400mm" even on ships made in steel.
-
Yes, but keep in mind not even russians will re-do the same stuff. So that writes off main gun turrets, as those you can yoink from Alaska, secondaries from Montana, AA guns, directors and what have you from everything and considerable number of smaller assets are sure as hell recycled. I guess WG took Montana hull and reshaped it to roughly match CA-2D sketches as time/cost saving measures. Most of assets would be pretextured already, so that leaves coming up with custom camouflages CA-2D sketch is just that, a sketch, so "no one can prove WG wrong" for reusing NC/Iowa/Montana superstructure bits
