    You have 6/7 skill consumables to annoy CV on top of having excellent aerial concealment. And carriers play essentially race against time and need to "spend" their planes as effectively as possible - while one could go straight for you, every time you smoke up, either he will have to wait those 40s, literally doing nothing or go after someone else. And if he goes for someone else, by that time there is good chance you will have next smoke ready.

    While Le Trollible I consider superior to Le Fantasque (5s vs 6s main gun reload, stealthier and faster reloading torps), French DDs live and die by carrier presence. Without CV, Fanta is... exciting torpedo boat that happens to have substantial gun burst potential should you bump into someone. With CV around, you're reduced to long range gunnery, thankfully Fanta have range and ballistics aplenty My suggestion, go get yourself silver Fantasque, play with her and you will decide if you want premium sister of hers.

    Unless you start entering Halland territory of AA (and even then you need to ambush+DFAA+Sector for biggest effect), all destroyers anti air is... "rather unfortunate".

    While there are genuinely fun tier 4/5 ships, these tiers also have fun and engaging times against tier 4 carriers, against which you simply don't have Anti Air to make significant plane losses. Still, Kuma, Furutaka, Kongo, Clemson, Orion come to mind. That and you're playing game developed by Russians (Lesta Studio), published by (Belo)Russians (Wargaming) with Russian being primary market. What are odds of Russian ships being bad? Speaking of Russian ships - in about two weeks patch 0.9.5 will arrive, and among changes tier 5 cruiser Kirov will turn into premium.     Considering average player have hard time using WSAD keys, breathing and blinking at the same time, automated damage against surface ships, while CVs play dogfight (or rather, whack-a-mole) with fighters might be not as bad.

    As usual, max camo to get that juicy 5.4km concealment, THE best you can get at hightiers. Once you get concealment, you can spec Kagero towards torps or guns, or mix of both as IJN 127mm are nothing to sneeze at, while concealment makes Kagero actually one of the better ships to enter caps, assuming you have some support to shoo shoo at spotted destroyers.

    While Friesland/hightier EU DDs have an actual AA, doesn't mean you have to use it as sign "drop rockets here". IF you do so, any CV player aware of existence of WSAD keys will simply rush to you and slap you with rockets. For maximum effect, you rely on ambushes. If you see planes coming your way, go for head on to make sure planes overshoot and enable AA/DFAA/sector once you are spotted by planes to maximize dakka. And for Friesland build - max out camo first as usual. And then you don't have torps, so that leaves you with maxing main guns

    The best premium ship for credit farming is the one you perform the most consistently with. No point of suggesting "Cossack gud bote" if you can't make DDs work. Also, no point of buying premiums of these tiers unless you just want the ship, as Tier 7 lost golden matchmaking quite long time ago and is notoriously uptiered. Narai Operation had economy rewards nerfed as well. Similar story with tier 8, uptiering will be name of the game most of the time.

    Loss of one paying customer is easily coverable by crafting another 100€+ whalepack. So one, ten, hundred small spenders less is irrelevant, when their main customers are whales who casually buy half the store in one go.

    Without Nevsky it might be difficult to assemble Bias Squad for clan battles. That said, if WoWsft is any correct, she did lose stealth radar capacity, outspotted by +-800m. Still, for a "light" cruiser, she have AP penetration competing with the best 203mm armed cruisers (Venezia and Zao) and then 19km range, 36kts top speed and quintuple set of fishes for occasional Rush B moments.

    Heal party won't exactly save you when eating cits. And then, with proliferation of DPM monsters, any overextending will result in you melting from HE with only one heal spent.

    Tbh, 203mm option isn't bad either. Granted, there are better T8 heavy cruisers, but Mogami/203 is surprisingly okay. Ibuki is literally copy/paste of Mogami with 203mm, only differences are tad better range, improved reload of 13.7s and access to usual T9 cruiser perks - heal and 6th upgrade slot, so you can go with main gun range or main gun reload. If you can't make Mogami work, then I'm afraid you won't find salvation in Zao. Same armor layout, only citadel sits tad lower in the water, guns have great ballistics, but that works both ways - can't abuse islands like you can with previous cruisers and then Zao have atrocious firing arcs, comparable to Mogami/155
