And then new ship class will arrive that also denies DD concealment advantage. The best part will be, DDs will be expected to be a counter to upcoming submarines. "Counter" that at the moment have to overextend to drop depth charges and be proxy spotted, thus you can't just smoke yourself to disengage -
Which probably will mean rocket dispersion nerfs. Which doesn't solve anything besides increasing frustration on both ends - one gets spotted and damaged anyway, while other further trades skill for RNGesus shrine. That or FDR approach of long range rockets with long flight time. But that will probably make CVs completely inept against anyone who mastered location of P key in their DD.

With every CA getting 25mm plating, and then Pensacola being made out of 25mm plating... yeah, no. From BBs, Fuso/Bayern probably will be meta due to not having crippled speed and armored enough to withstand HE/UK CL spam. Former with 12gun fast reloading broadside, latter with overmatch on cruisers/BBs. Cruisers... Perth followed by Leander and Pensacola. Molotov as odd kiter/long range firewanker. Destroyers... Hatsuharu as spotter with best in slot concealment at 5.8km, followed by Icarus/Gallant at 6km detection and Fushun/Anshan as hybrid derpstroyers at 6.1km. Fushun unable to torp DDs but, together with Icarus, have excellent CV counterplay in shape of quickly reloading smoke. forgot about brit loliwagons.

No, because why, in WG eyes, players would want to stay at midtiers when they can skip them with Free Exp and then play tier 9+ ships, preferably premium ones -
I'd understand resistance for learning school stuff like physics, chemistry etc you don't find entertaining but doing research on something you, supposedly, have fun doing shouldn't be that hard

Brief glimpse through tech trees with basic "is a>b? if yes, then worth. if no, then no" takes less time than typing that. And if you are then why are you concerning yourself with "number crunching" if X skill is good pick?

For "manners guy" you're getting surprisingly triggered at the idea of doing research yourself. And no, checking armor schemes in this game isn't comparable to writing bachelor thesis, doesn't take weeks. And for short answer, investing into secondaries isn't worth it unless you consistently yolo within their range every battle. And then, only place where you get something out of value from IFHE would be 105mm guns, which become effective against almost all cruisers and few unarmored battleships. Otherwise, when brawling BB with actual armor for plating, you're better without IFHE to retain some fire chance. IFHE Secondary build puts too many "if" to be considered anything but meme.

Now compare numbers you've got with most common platings you will encounter. And then decide how often you get to actually use secondaries to justify spending basically all the points into those.

Then compare plane stats between tier 8 and 10. There is surprisingly little difference there, if anything, you get more from 6th slot upgrade than by getting "tier 10 planes"... which almost universally have worse accuracy compared to T8 equivalent to "compensate for better payload".

Looking at Daring and what, 3 reload nerfs in a row, I doubt it would end at only 0.5s nerf. For reference, Daring reload nerfs essentially removed any dps boost you would get from adding BFT with points you would otherwise spend on IFHE and brought her theoretical dpm down to Gearing level. Which didn't fixed her outstanding utility and survivability due to all the consumables on board

Issue with GZ bombers is their shitty accuracy, not ability to "counterplay". If you were to buff GZ bombs accuracy to make them viable, then no ship maneuver would help you, as GZ have circular drop pattern, thus any approach is good one. -

Its not like WG have expertise in failed concepts Though I guess large cruiser dispersion on Venezia to "counteract excessive salvo efficiency" would be a thing... but then everyone would just switch to next best in slot. And it always struck me why WG developed wheel anew with SAP, when they could go with Brit CL approach but in CA caliber. Because as of now, Brit 152mm "AP" have better pen at all ranges than fixed 54mm SAP while achieving the same "no overpen" goal. Heck, SAP shell damage is in line with tier 10 203mm AP shells and then short fuse, 20mm sensitive Venezia AP at 4800dmg might be a solution, for her heavy broadside.

Small nerfs after small nerfs after small nerfs. My guess would be "final" Venezia at 22s reload, 14s rudder shift. And none of these changes fix issue of extremely lethal first strike salvo on a fast cruiser with option to immediately disengage due to magic smoke. 75-80 angles shouldn't be there to begin with.
