With random players don't expect voice chat or even cohesive teamwork, for that you would be better off assembling division of two/three players and then roll with some form of voice chat. I suppose you can browse Clan section https://forum.worldofwarships.eu/forum/507-clan-zone/ not necessarily to join, but find clan(s) that wouldn't mind novice as their Discord/TS guest. That or, I assume, Official WoWs Discord have "looking for a division" channels

GZ could and still can attack destroyers with rockets on first pass, even those going head on to force overshoot due to topkek slow planes and only 3s preparation time, nothing changed there. You simply need bigger RNGesus shrine now for first pass, turn around and apply rockets correctly the second time.

You have only yourself for blame for purchasing ship with known specs, which are in questionable territory. I can understand purchasing Tirpitz, Hood or what else for historical reasons, but Pommern is recycled WG creation, haphazardly kitbashed just to sell something. Given IFHE/armor rework didn't happened yesterday, going for 380mm guns at high tiers is questionable pick due to lack of overmatch on quite a number of cruisers. Then 12gun on a tier, where 9 is the standard, it will be obvious reload/accuracy penalty will follow, as Alsace has shown.

Trajectory is flatter, thus can't can't copy 1:1 DM gameplay. But, compared to other large cruisers, her guns have the worst shell velocity. Thus she (and Pay2Rico) are, theoretically, most suitable for island camping. -

Normally, just start battle in Massa or any other BB and actually count the seconds how long it takes to move rudder, either using in game clock or your own. And on Massa it takes give or take 8 seconds for rudder to go from neutral to maximum deflection.

Rudder shift mod gives less than it looks, as displayed value in port is from "maximum to maximum" instead "neutral to maximum". So, default rudder shift on Massa is just short of 8s. I'd say it depends on the captain build - if you have BoS skill, then I suppose you can swap DCPmod for rudder. If you don't have BoS, then I'd stick with DCPmod. Obviously you can go with both, but there are diminishing returns when it comes to lowering DoT duration.
